Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted July 3, 2002 The bad news about the ratings is that they advertised the hell out of that UT/Hardy ladder match main event for Raw. Now, since we don't have the quarterhours in front of us, it's kind of hard to speculate whether people tuned in & dropped out or just didn't watch entirely. I think the real test of this show (like any other show) will be in next week's Raw rating - if people feel the WWE built storylines that they enjoy going into next week, then they'll tune in. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 3, 2002 By the way Shawn HBK is dead but we didn't kill it your receding hairline did I'm sure he reads this board and saw your witty remark. After all, this is where all the wrestlers go for fan mail, right? Right? Bless you, sir, and thanks for participating TheSmartMarks Forums!
Guest Prince Paul Report post Posted July 3, 2002 How was raw a good show? No matches were over ***. No exciting storylines were brought about. The cripplers comeback was totally fucked up (They barely mentioned it) By the way Shawn HBK is dead but we didn't kill it your receding hairline did For a "genius", you certainly haven't understood the definition of the word "opinion". IN star trek voice: Damn it Jim, he's a jackass not a genius. IN all actuality Genius, sorry to hear you think Benoits return was fucked up. Should he have won WWE gold on Monday night? Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 WWE should forget about the ratings for now and just keep on building up all their new storylines without getting scared, anyway it's their own fault that the casual fans have stopped watching RAW, due to the fact that they haven't elevated new superstar to main event status since Angle and that was back in 2000.( the Y2J push doesn't count because his elevation as a champ was a joke and a failure )
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Just because they put on one quality show doesn't mean the ratings are going to shoot up, big advertisement for Hardy/Taker or not. Seriously, how many casual fans or smarks alike thought Hardy was going to be Taker? And did you see the crap last week? That's why a lot of people didn't watch. Consistent quality shows along with steady direction and a surprise once in a while to reward the viewers watching is all its going to take to get the ratings back up. You just gotta have some faith. Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted July 3, 2002 OKay, how the Hell does the Ratings work? Not every house hold counts for those Ratings right? I know there is a Nealson/Nelson (whatever) Research system with families and crap, but those wouldn't count for every house watching right?
Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 If the ratings drop to 2s by fall, just rename WWE RAW to WCW Nitro.
