I saw it coming...but I still marked out.... that...and on an episode of one of the Saturday morning shows he was in a backstage area and said "I've got one word for ya..." then he pulled out a bucket from behind him and went "BUCKET!" I almost died!

That was classic. Him winning the world title. Eventhough that asshole Bichoff announced that it was going to happen before hand. Cactus Jack vs. Terry Funk No Ropes Barbwire Match. The one where they are both crawling on the floor and Cactus is yelling "Terry!!!" That was pure ring psychology in that match. Amazing stuff. The whole match with him vs. michaels at Mind Games was great too. Very good match.

Mick: But I've gotta say, Rock - but that's gotta put you up there in the elite list of the greatest WWF champions of all time. And I wanna know one thing - how does that make you feel? Rock: Well, the Rock - Mick: IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW IT MAKES YOU FEEL! *crowd pops* Mick: THERE! THERE, I DID IT! *running around the ring* FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY! FOLEY! *crowd joins in* Mick: I FINALLY GOT YOU! I FINALLY GOT YOU! That was awesome on so many levels, especially when Rock actually broke character on national and started laughing. Good times. You know, they really need to bring him back....hell, make him a booker and writer.

Mick: I gave you a gift, something that means a lot to me, and you throw it away? Rock: What is this about your book? Mick: GODDAMMIT! I'm not talking about my book, I'm talking about my life--my blood, my sweat, my tears--and you take all that and you piss on it. I say piss on you--you self-righteous, self-centered, egotistical SON OF A BITCH! Rock: You barge into the Rock's dressing room and you interrupt The Rock? Well, The Rock says this... Mick: No, I say this. I SAY THIS! I don't want to know you, I don't want to work with you, I don't want to fight you, Dwayne. I don't want to even know you exist. You live with that--and GROW UP! God, I was marking out like a sumbitch. Yea I should had put that up there with his ECW farewell Because it not only a mark out moment it clarified something for me and im sure alot of other people. Rock a year before that was one of the Most hated guy in Wrestling. He just got the fans goats. But somehow he turned face, then turned back heel then back face in a space of a few months. Rock still had the same heelish attitude same basic disrespect for anyone even as a face. and verbally abused poor old Mick even when they were thrown together as a tag team. But I think it was that Moment Specifically that was the turning point for the Rock's character. Because when Mick Verbally bashed him, it question the Rock's character before the fans. After that alternation , Rock's character began changing to what he is now. The first obvious sign on that was when HHH and Steph fired Mick and Rock got the entire Roster together and Told HHH they would walk unless he rehired him. All that I believe came from that Moment with Mick yelling at Rock probably months before... It was a scripted arguement But.. I believe it had a More profound effect. Because if the biggest Sympathetic Face Called Rock who was supposely a Face on his SH## Then the Rock's character would either have to change to full Heel or Improve his face demeanor to keep his fans.
Guest DrEvil Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Even in him leaving ECW was 10 times Classier than How he left the WWF in my opinion 10 times doesn't quite cut it. It's actually an infinate number based on how the WWF shit on him on his way out. That "IT DOESN'T MATTER" that he hit the Rock with is my absolute favorite Foley moment. To this day when I think of funniest moment in wrestling, that's the first thing that pops into my head. For another moment, how about showing up for the four way match at Wrestlemania (2000?). He was on record as saying he didn't want to be one of those guys who comes back after retiring. He wanted to go out in a loser retires match. He finished his career just as he wanted to and was ready to walk away. Then WWF management came up with the plan for a four way match, and like a true professional with total love for the sport, not only did he go against his wishes, he also did the job in the match. His heart may not have been in it, and that was evident, but showing up shows incredible dediction.
