Guest BoboBrazil Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 We have received word that WWE will be bringing back The APA tag team of Ron Simmons and Bradshaw. Bradshaw will be returning from his torn biceps injury. It's interesting to hear that Ron "Faarooq" Simmons will be coming back to work because it had been believed that he would be retiring. There is no word at this point as to whether it will be a short term or long term thing. 1wrestling.com
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Fuck that. Dudleyz and APA suck.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 The only good thing about APA is their humorous backstage segments.... hopefully, they'll go to Raw. Lord knows that show NEEDS entertainment
Guest tpww7 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Keep the APA off my tv, unless they are playing strip poker with Trish again.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 They cut good promos and get a reaction from the crowd. I have no problem with it
Guest CanadianChick Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I'm very surprised the Ron would come out of retirement. I don't really have much of a problem with this. But I'm not exactly looking forward to it either.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Brian Kendrick better watch out. No more running around Naked for him.
Guest converge241 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 maybe they are Nunzio's "friends"? that would be better than the Mamalukes pt II
Guest Corey291 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I like the APA. I have no problems with them coming back, provided that Ron Simmons will be able to work through whatever injuries he has. -Corey
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 (in farooq's voice) Damn!
Guest creativename Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I'd much rather have the APA than a lone Bradshaw. Bradshaw is utterly and completely worthless by himself, but you know that he'd still get a push. At least the APA have some marginal entertainment value, and you never really see tag team squash matches, so they'd be relatively harmless.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Hopefully Bradshaw will have lost some weight since we saw him
Guest EternallyLazy Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Well it'll probably be Team Angle vs. APA at WrestleMania, with APA getting the clean win in a 5 minutes squash
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Sweet. I like the APA, no problem with them.
Mecha Mummy Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Sure, why not? I wouldn't mind the APA coming back... as long as we get another trip from them to the Friendly Tap. *Grin*' Oh, and I'd have them come back on Raw. I know I wouldn't mind if they squashed 3MW.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Bring on Farrooq. I find Damn Testify more entertaining than the Dudleys anyways. In what few matches I did see.....
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I'd much rather have the APA than a lone Bradshaw. Bradshaw is utterly and completely worthless by himself, but you know that he'd still get a push. Agreed--Bradshaw would be getting a huge singles push if this doesn't happen. Besides, there isn't a decent tag team left on Raw besides the Chrises. It's no huge loss.
Guest Human Fly Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Although they wouldn't fit in too well with the workrate atmosphere (but neither do Rikishi, DeMott, Albert, Big Show etc.) I think SD needs tag teams more then Raw does right now. Trade Bradshaw for someone, I don't know who, and you'd get a little roster shakeup too which would help with the freshness aspect.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Bring back the Disasters.
Guest Choken One Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Bring back the Disasters. You mean Steiner and HHH? They're already busy at the moment...
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 No, not the Natural Disasters, I mean the two fat guys who called themselves Disasters.
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 No, not the Natural Disasters, I mean the two fat guys who called themselves Disasters. Er, HHH and Steiner would be the Unnatural Disasters. The Natural ones would be Earthquake and Typhoon. Tenta and Ottoman--smell the workrate!
Guest candie45 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Blech. Well, I'll look on the bright side... I'll have to see Bradshaw on my TV nonetheless, and with the APA, at least he won't be wearing his cowboy outfit.... I hope...
Guest Bricks Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Unless, they decide to make Faarooq wear a cowboy outfit to match. Damn.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Yeah the New New Blackjacks That'd work
Guest El Satanico Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Farooq will wear chaps with a thong and Bradshaw will lead him around with a leash. Fits perfectly on Raw...Them and HHH can "show ass" together,
Guest Ravenbomb Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 yea, ya never see Tag squashes. That Taker/Kane vs. DDP and Kanyon match had plenty of well sold offense on both sides.
