Guest Kojack Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 This is for finisher that were used a couple of times but never used again. Here is what i can remeber. 1)The one and Only (Billy Gunn) 2)BreakDown (y2J) 3) Alleyoop (Big Show) 4) Dragon Sleeper (Undertaker) 5) Angles moonsault (Kurt Angle) Thats all I can think of right now! List your list
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Hulk Hogan performing moves besides the Big Boot and Leg Drop. Also this move:
Guest art_vandelay Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 1) Union Jack (Rega's neckbreaker) 2) Regal Stretch 3) Harlem Sidekick 4) Scotty's Springboard/Diving DDT 5) Kane's Powerbomb 6) Edge's inverted Sharpshooter-thing 7) Lasso from El Paso 8) Hollycaust
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 For whatever reason, I thought the Goon checking his opponent into the ringside barrier and getting the count out win as cool as all hell. Granted, it's really fuckin stupid overall, but just the fact that they had the balls to try to get that over as a credible finisher makes me smile.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Shawn Michaels' Nut Suplex. Edge's Flatliner. Big Show's Final Cut.
Guest phoenixrising Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Another one of Big Show's - the Final Cut that he was using when he came back from OVW...Hurricane also used it as the Eye of the Hurricane, but the move was never over. Any of Booker's finishers.
Guest Flyboy Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Any of Booker's finishers. I think the Harlem Hangover was pretty over...
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 He probably means right now. I'll add anyone who used the Superkick during the InVasion.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Any of the neckbreaker variations that Chyna/Regal/Show/Gunn/Helms tried to use as finishers. Any variation on the Michinoku Driver/Rikishi Driver/Snowplex/Falcoln Arrow.
Guest Army Eye Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 6) Edge's inverted Sharpshooter-thing A shame. That's like the only cool move Edge has ever done.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 6) Edge's inverted Sharpshooter-thing A shame. That's like the only cool move Edge has ever done. I think that it failed simply because Micheal Cole tried to get it over by calling it the "Figure Four Edge Lock." It was doomed from the beginning.
Guest papacita Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Diesel's iron fist. The "DDS" (Issac Yankem) The Downward Spiral and the Edge-u-cator (both could've gotten over if he used them more) Anything done by Show other than the chokeslam Lance Storm's half crab (seems a little too weak compared to the other finishers)
Guest caboose Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 For some reason Christian's Unprettier won't get over, probably cos it's called the 'Unprettier'. I mean to quote Christian having that move done on you would be 'BRUTAL'.
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Molly's 450 whoopee cushion. I like that move, too.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Sgt. Slaughter's atomic noogie! Does anyone have a better quality picture than the one above or a video of this move? I never had the "pleasure" of viewing it.
Guest papacita Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 The "Tori Suplex"...which was really just a cool looking version of Big Show's Alley-OOP...I can only remember her doing it to Ivory at SummerSlam 99 tho.
Guest Rick001 Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 The Tazmission saddly in the WWE it never got over becuase just about anyone could somehow break free Doinks whoopie cushion (top rope sit down splash) also a really odd submission he used to to when he first came to the WWF that he did for like 2 weeks then stopped Diesel's one punch knock out Lex Luger running forearm (he hit you with the arm that had a steel plate in it thus knocking you out) Lance Storms Mapleleaf (the half crab) good in WCW somehow weak in WWE The Hardy Boyz (leg drop, splash from the top rope) used to always do it now the rarley do it Matt Hardy's Razor's Edge type move he used before he got a total additude overhaul Bastion Boogers knee drop (becuase he always lost thus never used it plus he was a bad wrestler) And the Tiger Bomb in general seems never to catch on
Guest Human Fly Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 "also a really odd submission he used to to when he first came to the WWF that he did for like 2 weeks then stopped" The step-ladder? That move was great. Doink's adversary would be sitting up, Doink would then sit on their neck, and pull their leg up so their foot was around their head. It was great, and really looked painful.
Guest Brian Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Man, the Hardys got fucked up when they came to the WWF. They lost all their workrate or something, but they used to be incredible. On a side note, I was watching some old nitro comp I have and Regal is doing fucking lucha and keeping up with Guerrero and Rey in a tag match.
Guest DokDoyle Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 "also a really odd submission he used to to when he first came to the WWF that he did for like 2 weeks then stopped" The step-ladder? Big Bully Busik(sp?) used it too....Didn't they call it the Stump-puller
Guest Risk Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Off-topic: The Hardys really need an attitude change--fast. I loved the mirror universe "dark" Hardys with Hayes and then Grel. Copeland and Reso vs. Matt and Jeff the first time could have been like The Rock N' Roll Express vs. The Midnight Express feud. I remember I marked out when the Brood received a Blood Bath.
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 The 'Crash-Landing'. Crash's splash off the top rope, where he'd jump from across the ring, land on his feet, run up to his opponent and do a standing splash for the 1,2,3. I was never nor am I now, a Crash fan, but that was pure comedy.
Guest Anglesault Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 The "Tori Suplex"...which was really just a cool looking version of Big Show's Alley-OOP...I can only remember her doing it to Ivory at SummerSlam 99 tho. She used it on Lita to save Steph's title in 2000 when everyone and their mother would run in and beat Lita up.
Guest EI Cubano Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 You know I scrolled all the way to the bottom of this thread and was SHOCKED that someone actually beat me to the "stump-puller" by Big Bully Busick. "Mean" Mark Callous used a pretty weak hearthpunch as his finisher in his pre-Undertaker days in WCW that never really got over that well.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 I don't think the Rings Of Saturn got over in the WWF, and Saturn's "strangle submission" didn't exactly set the world on fire either. How about The Berzerker's "Throw opponent out of the ring and win by countout?" Just as lame (if not MORE lame) as The Goon's "Body Check of Doom".
Guest Anglesault Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Saturns Full Nelson slam thing he used for like a week
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Hmmmmm... Hardcore Holly's "Forearm/Punch/Elbow Smash To The Head With A Metal Plate In It" never did either.
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 At least that's better than his feared DROPKICK of DOOM!!!
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Test's pump handle slam. Viscera's roll around on the floor and claim it was a spinning heel kick.
