Three Words to say about this week so far

OHMYGOD!   I have nothing to say but that. I am serious.   Vince must had too many drinks Holloween Night.   The next day, he makes the smartest desision in the history of the busness. Getting the last great known Announcer, and my Favorite of the Bunch, Joey Styles to do Play By Play.   He WAS THE KING of the PPV. I am sorry. The way he covered Flair/HHH was near masterpeace. He made that Match (along with Flairs unbeliveble ablity to still be master and commander of the Ring at age 60) into a near **** star match. Ross should be proud at the fact that Vince finally made the right choice.   As for most of the PPV... UGH. All the faces won (which its a better trend- let the heros be heros) and the Fans want a more (TNA/ROH) workrate out of the Champ Cena because there starting to hate his guts...   This is after Christan quits, Torrie gets fired, Austin didnt want to Job to Coach...   And looking at the TNA Clash of Champions coming up on Thursday- We do have a competer in our mist...they Just Need Dan The Dragon/Or Eddie Gargulio and TNA would be set for a real Monday Night/Friday Night/Saturday Night wars.   The only issue is, where does New Japan fit in to the wars? Does Simon Inoki and Dixie Carter use Brock Lesnar as a wedge to get TNA and New Japan to american audeances and have McMahan quaking in his boots? Or Vince Uses the upcoming ROH/TNA war as a true WWE/TNA/ROH/UFC/NEW Japan/NOAH free for all for the future of the buisness?   This is becoming the most intresting time in a long while. I would not be suprised if there will become new Stables wars (because thats the only reason why WCW stayed as long as it did, the NWO/Four Horseman/WCW wars) Didnt Liger stated he was willing to make his CTU unit global? and if ROH is on the Noah side of things...   Damn I am just thinking too much into things... Match Results!   (No Smackdown Results Until Saturday- only Taboo Tusday results and Impact Results)   Rey Rey & Matt Hardy vs Masters & Snitsky   They are protecting Edge for now... Surivor Series the game really starts...   Eugene & Snuka vs Conway & Tomko   Superfly does it again...   Mankind vs Carlito   ** stars.   Kane & Show vs Cade & Murdoch   Batista vs Coach   They protected him Big Time. And at least he gets paid...   Battle Royal (Womans Title) The Mickie James Storyline is going to work, and might be the only good storyline on RAW...but can the work rate match up when it comes to SurviorSer?   Flair vs HHH   Flair continues to amaze me after all these years. When he was younger, he could not be stopped. 60 years young and the man can still pull out *** and 3/4 star matches and it pisses me off...   Cena vs Michaels vs Angle   ...that your 25 year old champion cant. It makes no sence to me. UGH, and he used to be much better in OVW.   Now Impact:   Abyss w/ James Mitchell vs. Lance Hoyt   Jerrelle Clark vs. Christopher Daniels   Alex Shelley & Roderick Strong vs. Sonjay Dutt & X Division Champion AJ Styles   NWA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted (James Storm & Chris Harris) w/ Gail Kim vs. 3 Live Kru (BG James & Ron Killings) w/ Konnan   Now Puro News:   Antonio Inoki returned to the United States from Tokyo. Inoki said that he supported the current restructuring that is happening in the company and that Choshu would continue causing ripples from his changes. Inoki said that he was determined to change and that he had an iron will.   Razor Ramon HG had a public training session with Shinjiro Ohtani & Taichi Ishikari (playing the role of professional jobber) today. This was to promote the Hustle Mania show on 11/3 at Yokohama Arena. The fun doesn't end there - check out HG's new face mask and Hustle posing. The greatest part about all these skits is that HG (Sumitani) is actually a very good amateur wrestler and was Tanahashi's rival in Osaka in college.   Razor said that he had to slow down on his pelvic thrusts in order to give his hip-swiveling a tune-up so that he would be back to good shape. At the public workout, Ishikari made fun of HG which prompted HG to beat him up. HG gave Ishikari a high-angle dropkick and then put him in a modified cobra twist, which HG is calling the "comaratwist." It's a cobra twist with pelvic thrusting action. Razor gave Ishikari a Tombstone Pile Driver and decided to call this move the "69 Driver." Razor also showed off his devastating "Hard Gay Triangle Lock" submission hold. To finish off his comments, HG stated that when he applies his new and exciting moves on Yinling the Erotic Terrorist, he will imagine that he is putting the holds on Kawada and get excited/aroused.   After losing the tag titles today to Chono & Tenzan, is the Nakamura/Tanahashi tag team about to break-up?   Junji Hirata (Black Strong Machine) criticized Riki Choshu for being at the Hustle show, stating that if Choshu was really a boss, he would have been at the Kobe show to oversee the two title matches on the card. Osamu Nishimura said that Riki Choshu has come back to New Japan to turn the company from a democracy into a communist state.   The promotion's marketing plan for their 1/4 Tokyo Dome show is starting to go into effect. According to Nikkan Sports, the promotion in touting that they will try to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the amount of shows consecutively (on the 1/4 date) at the Tokyo Dome. DAMN.

I havent posted alot. Thats for personal reasons.   But I had to state something about the recent events that took place this morning.   One of the last greats of the Buisness has passed on. And all i have to say is that we as fans are FUBAR'D.   The Fasade has finally been taken off of alot of fans and now the realize that no Edward Guerrero=No Smackdown or WWE.   A talent like him...or like Benoit's, comes once every 15-20 years. TNA/The Indies (Joe maybe Daniels) have some, Japan had several. But for every mega hoss that Vince or Turner would Push, There was someone like Eddy to prove that talent doesnt have to be in a 6'6 295 frame.   Smackdown after Rock was Eddies show more often than not. Even when Lesner was around, and after he beat Benoit (which was one of the reasons why they started the Title Feud in the first place) who never tapped out in his carrer, Eddie compleated shocked every one when he beat Lesnar. In that sense, he became one of the better champions in the last Decade.   However, it got too much for him. And he being the champ became too much of a strain. JBL beat him later that year and started one of the most conversal reigns in the companies history.   But it was still Eddies show.   No matter how bad the script was written, Eddie would do better.   He Finally had his great match with Benoit.   But still, not for a title, who knows what would have been?   But too little too late.   And now for a Industry at a crossroads, game time.   Time to restructure, and find out the honesty that has been so missing.   Who is the next big draw?   Who is the next big star?   If the men cant do it why are the Females being hindered?   All these questions...time only has the answers.   God Bless Eddy.

A Year In Review/Predictions for 2006

This year has been full of sadness and disapointments, Hashimoto in Japan and Gurrereo in the states stands out. The way New Japan handled it and the way that WWE has handled it shows where each company is headed.   There were a few bright spots however.   NOAH was a major bright spot.   OVW improved and became better than its "Higher" counterpart in many ways.   ROH had a ok year, but a very well capible champion in American Dragon.   New Japan is restruring   TNA in all intents and perpouses had a much better year PPV wise and Wresling wise than WWE...   All must hail Joe.   The Indies in Japan and the States are getting larger on a montly basis.   Im not shocked at CMLL's success this year. They have been a very logical company for several years. At least there HONEST about what they do (when it comes to the Divas of course)   The only bright spot for WWE was the ECW PPV. The buyrates get higher every damn month (which leads me to believe that the WWE really hid the actual number)   Oh and did I Forget...FIRE PRO RETURNS!!!!!   2006?   If cable stays stable- I sucpect that Spike TV's "investment" will pay off. (oh and Joe's staying... and I make the bold predition that American Dragon heads to TNA)   Unless Paul Heyman, or Jim Cornnete is the main booker for WWE, the recovery for that company will be REALLY slow.   New Japan will sign Brock, and he will have a 9 month title reign. His match with Nakamura will be a good test, and he will Face Fuita after wards. They will give it to Nakamura however and it up to him to rise to the challange.   NOAH is going to be the number one company in Japan for a LONG time to come however- and it would be in both TNA and WWE intrests to train some of there workers there (Monty Brown, AJ Hoigt- the majority of the midcard in the WWE) The MMA game boom is dying, so it would be in there best intrest for the Japanese companies to take that opertunity.   It might be intresting to see, but i sucpect this is a womens year in Wresling. I would not be suprised if the third main event in the major cards for this year are Joshi titles. Sendai is gonna be HOT. Shimmer is going to be a ROH like promotion. Expect to see more females in the game soon.   As for OVW...its gonna be treated as the bastard child of the WWE development groups as the Altanta devlopment promotion is put in better standing.   As for WWE trying to be hollywood? It would succeed and yet fail and hurt them in many ways. Expect that there will be more womens matches as the men try to be thespens.   And finally Aki gets back in the Wresling Video Game world.   all in 2006

A Small Look into Animated Movies this year.

Before I tell you why I am doing this- I have to metion that I dont really deal with animation shows that much any more. I place my focus on animation movies...   Hoodwink: Both Reviewed by Radio Host Mike Savage and Animation Historian Jerry Beck- gave this move high marks, but It isnt as clean as the other CGI films.   Ice Age Two: Dont know about this one, but Fox did ok on the first and Robots.   Open Season: Might be the sleeper hit of the season.   Curious George: Is the sleeper hit of the season. Little Kong with a big heart. Its done in 2D and the only american movie to be done in that format. It will make 10 times back what it cost to make. Kong-Lite with larger than Kong numbers.   Ant Bully and Happy Feet: Lost in the Superman Shuffle. Might make some cash.   Meet The Robertsons and The Wild: Disney's 6th and 7th Non-Pixar CGI film. It still suffers problems like Chicken Little on both sides.   Yankee Irving: Mainframes first major movie: Doubts about its success abound however.   Pixar's Cars: It depends on the reviews- but Pixar is beyond overdue for a dud. Could hurt there chances of staying away from Disney.   Flushed Away: Aardman may have lost there studio and museum, but the heart is still there.   Over The Hedge: A major league dark horse.   Barnyard: MTV's Kids and Families First movie- As long as it still has the Nick name, it will do well. If not...back away...far far away...   More later!

WWE Ratings goes up...TNA Gets Primetime show...

And a whole lot more in the return of Wrestling Week!   Oh im back...Thats right...Dance Like Kusko...Pixar and Disney merged into NOTHINGNESS...hell on earth coming... Ok OK G-DAMN...   So Im back- and a lot has happend.   WWE is ... well yeah...   TNA has grown up, taken strides...and needs a 90 min show.   Puro needs to make a move...before MMA starts running for keeps...   So lets start with...the results:   RAW     (The only storyline I liked in this is the womans storyline. Dont ask me why, I know IT SCREAMS Lesbo HLA, but I only hope that it doesnt lead into that- and Trish will drop the title to Mickie in what could be the best match in WM 22, booked and fought)   SMACKDOWN (Soon to become of the new CBS-DubyaWARNAKA!!!!)   MNM vs. Mexicools This match was ok...   Chris Benoit vs. Finlay (DQ) I loved the match...hated the ending...   Mark Henry & Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio & Kurt Angle   THREE MATCHES? THREE MATCHES? WTF? And not to mention... (yeah...you know who.)   Puro news:           Hmm...Orton was not there...   More news on the way...

Can I have what Vince is Smoking?

RAW...Has Gone MAD   Eh... Can somebody get me the lisence plate of the show that just hit us?   You mean to tell me, that CARLITO- the weaker of the two Colon Brothers (why didnt they get his older brother? Tell me why? He would have worked a match and might have been better suited for this role?) WINS TWO MAIN EVENT TITLES IN LESS THAN A YEAR? WITH THREE MOVES? That does not happen... That means most Garbage Brawers have a shot... (just putting it out there) at those two titles.   How can The Brand, PISS off one of the most consistant title reigns in IC history. Benjamin is one of the best WWE based Wrestlers in a LONG Time. He is as good as Booker T was in his prime. I hope Shelten gets a shot at the the title (The Unified Title Series 2- yes...in 22 days, we will know if ECW returns) and SOON. One thing John Cena did, was to wipe the title clean of JBL's misfortions (he is no Stan Hanson, too weak with his power bombs, and his closeline from hell loses a lot of power when he falls, so what does he do? Cheats, wins by DQ... UGH.)- nice looking title if you forget the spinner.   Is it me, or does it seem HHH realises he needed more lessons from Killer Kolwizky(sp) We seen better days from the so called "King of Kings" Cornettes boys (Cena, Orton, Batista) are getting better- but still rough around the edges. HHH needs to take a Big bump from the Cell, or the PPV is in trouble. The tag match last night was NUTS, booked very badly, but nice AJPW style.   The wedding was a tease from the ECW PPV- sadly Gerwitz needs to go and start looking for a new job in some days...   Maybe Smackdown will do better this week, everything worked well last week...   Until Then...

A...smackdown...champion?

YEAH...RIGHT...   Ok, what happend on smackdown?   Simple... they didnt keep up with the perfectly Acceptable Wrestling (well they did, but the booking brought out the SAT (aka, the Mexicools) to the cruizer stage-which, mark my words if nothing changes after the ECW PPV or Vengence PPV-the former good, the other bad news, the cruser division will be something to watch for. Of course, is the longest running title on The Brand.)   And guess who came?   Hassan. (Oh great)   He begins his streak on smackdown...over the Big Show. And he is apart of the new six man tornado match, for the world title. A NEW world title. The Smackdown world title.   Ok, is it me, or I am sensing a Unified Title over at Raw? That would end the true brand split- and Smackdown will have to start (not like Raw did, because in the kafabe world- the Raw World Title is the WCW title) from scratch.   But what scared me most of about tonight? The Main Event Match between Eddie and Rey. This match should have been a LOT better. Eddy looked SLOW in certain parts. Rey (I never believed it if I could) carried the match. Even though Rey has a bad wheel. What's with Eddie? Even on his bad days, he was never slow.   So... Smackdown was better this week...but not by much...   Raw Matches Shelton Benjamin © vs. Carlito (Bullcrap win) Viscera vs. Simon Dean (Squash) John Cena © vs. Mohammed Hassan (Didnt even give him time! BIG DUD) Kurt Angle vs. Batista which lead to: HHH and Kurt Angle (w/Ric WHOO Flair) vs. Shawn Michaels and Batista OH HELL NO...Very Badly Booked.   Smackdown Matches   Joey Mercury (w/Nitro and Melina) vs. Heidenreich (Not bad from Heidenreich, which if you think about it-is shocking, but no more than *) (Addendum- Melina came in to OVW as to train, but she became a very comptent manager, this deals with the match next week with Michelle McCool-where as Both Nitro and Mercury dont believe she can throw down...)   One fall for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship of the World: Chavito Guerrero vs. Paul London (No Winners, as the Mexicools arrive, The Juice (Juventud Guerrera)- Super Crazy, and Psicosis interfere)   One issue about the draft that J-Hawk stated on his review:   How can Daivari and Hassan both come over at the same time? Cole and Tazz briefly speculated that they must be a package deal, but after making a big deal that Sharmell of all people could be drafted solo and that tag teams could be broken up, how can you justify anybody being a package deal? If Daivari was just a manager, I might be able to buy it, but since he wrestles part-time, I don't know how you can justify it.   Unless Smackdown has already used the final weeks draft pick setup- I dont see how it would work. If they did, then this week's draft pick setup will be picked next week.   Muhammad Hassan (w/Daivari) vs. The Big Show UGH... UGLY MATCH.   Eddy Guerrero vs. Rey Misterio Jr.   This match could have been a LOT better. 3 and 3/4 stars. There is a problem with the WWE style...and it is speed. If it was just a bit faster, maybe it could go up there. There a reason why Benoit Vs Lesnar was the best match in nearly several months before that even better Triple Threat Match at WM20- It was fast, clean and Vince's style worked when speed is used. When hardly any speed is used, your going to have to use ground based take downs...If this was no DQ, it might have been better because of the slower pace. Now dont get me wrong, a slower pace match I like more than a faster match where no idea of telling the story. And it doesnt help if Eddy looks out of it.   Here is some other items of note...Rhyno is going to Zero-One Max... he might be facing Tanaka if that takes place... The Voodoo Murderers Storyline continues over at AJPW- Taka has asked Chono for help to take care of them... Kojima vs. Mutoh (Triple Crown) and Kawada vs. Miyamoto is a match set for July 26 as well... There is plans for a new Joshi league- Michinoku Joshi starting in 2006...will Ofune be there? TNA is heading to Spike TV in October, so by that time, we will know who is carring the torch of the ECW Leagacy by then, this is parly the help of the UFC (because BOTH Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz has had better relationships with TNA and pretty much, both promotions can feed off of each other to the Top IMO)     ROH Death Before Dishonor 3 Results:   ROH Title Match Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer over Embassy   Lacey over Cindy Rogers   Carnage Crew over Ring Crew Express with Splash Mountain Neckbreaker off top rope though tables.   ROH Pure Title Samoa Joe over Cabana with armbar   AJ Styles over Petey Williams, Rave Clash on AJ and Destroyer on Styles.   Generation Next over Lacey's Angels...Evans hits a SPRINGBOARD 630 to the outside.   Nigel McGuiness wins 4CS over Azrieal, Gibson and Homicide   Low Ki Vs Jay Lethal-No Contest   ROH TITLE MATCH CM PUNK DEFEATS AUSTIN ARIES TO BECOME NEW ROH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!     Are they trying to do a ROH angle on WWE? Is CM Heading to Smackdown? WTF is going on here? And how in the world are they going to get it back!?   The Chicara/CZW/IMS divisions have plans for future double headers and such...   and dont forget Fire Pro...New sections are up and a new relese date (which has never happend before) http://www.spike.co.jp/fr/index.html   Thats all for this week...

Musings from the Top Rope.

Well, time to talk about things that I need to get off my chest A new part of the blog, that i do any chance I get:     Freedom to...Show This?   Ok, some 10 year old girl in the middle of the country (If you call Pittsburgh Middle) is protesting in her school...Not because of a war or illegal immrgation.   Because the school stated, she has shorts that are too small.   ...Hillarity Insues.   Can the parents of the girl tell her, wrong issue to start a fight? Save it when it REALLY means something...   When the teachers are too busy fucking there best friends.   Ok, when did CBS turn from scraping old men, into whoreville?   Take it from me, When Uncle Walt says something- he means it. He said that Sheffer was a better choice than Dan Rather- it showed in the ratings. I mean when your 1.0 points away from Brian Willams, who is still doing well after Brockaws retirement, that saying something.   Then the bitches came to town.   Katie Couric is the same as Jenny Anniston- even the dispite the fact the former has some cred. What scares me the most is that she is taking the place of not only Bob, but the legendary bad ass, Mike Wallace. My father always had away to get around situations- he threthened them with saying that he had the number to Wallace's office. They turn shit face and run.   Katie isnt gonna do much more than be the vanilla ice to Moonves's carmel coating. That was a bone headed move from McManus.   Its even more stupid to let her go from NBC side of things, because Vierra isnt that good after catting it up with Star Jones for the last 7 so years.   So now Katie is gonna lead CBS news.   That makes no sense, after that they have many women- who so desevre it more than her.   And besides, it breaks tradition- The future doesnt look bright, and it was all looking better than good from my view.   (Come on, cant you give RUSS a shot!?)   Ninty is only hurting themselfs.   HOW many times do I have to tell people the DS is a GIMMICK- im tired. It might have good games, but when the third parties can only get the same numbers on the PSP, even despite the fact the PSP has less support from these same parties, then it seems that the japanese third parties are still falling for the old Ninty JuJu magic.   And the fact they cant make them faster than people can buy them- its only a matter of time, before the bubble bursts.   If they were smarter, they would have priced the system higher. 3/4 near the cost of the PSP in Japan. It doesnt matter if there 14 million ahead. They said the same thing about the saturn when it was 7, the same with dreamcast when they had a 5 million. They crashed. Burned.   They cant hold on to the handlelds until a TRUE GB successor comes. Then we will talk.   They dont make them like they used to   24 and Lost are in broild in a war. The fans are in it badly- whos the better mindfuck, 24, and how many times Jack Bauer can excape death, or how many connetions can you make with the Losties.   But the diffrence between these two shows?   Part of the 1990's young gang (Sarah Jessica Parker, with fellow struggling actors Billy Zane and Robert Downey Jr.) Keifer stands tall, mistakes and flaws. You want to be this man, and thats saying alot, because all Lost does its try to make you like there charitors, but even at there best, they kinda fall short.   24 heart is Keifer, and this season shows that hes is that good of an actor- even though astechicly, Hugh Larie is snarker, and Wenthworth Miller (Michal Scofeld) does better with a good cast like has. (The best actors on Lost are the Korean actors- and one was the back up on season 3 of 24)   And come on, who doesnt love a dude that loves a good gitar (and Hendrix...)   (besides, people hate on AnaL too damn much, if any of you have seen IPGX, shes the same girl, and everybody on gamefaqs's boards wanted to jump her bones- so you go from her anime version and jumping her bones, to hating her in Lost because she was a bitch...you still will jump her, jump damn you- if she spreds, JUMP...DONT make me go Bauer on you!)   I dont hate dub...much   GM, take note- when you bring back the Bonnie as the G8, please- let these guys mod the car? I mean, come on, they told Dodge how to get the two door charger!   They and Rockstar made one of the best racers out there, much better than EA's Three Games based on the Tuner style. The magazine isnt that bad eather, but its not Fusion magazine. But DUB remembers the classic cars, brought respect back to Dodge- and does it with out showing too much ass and tits...It works for me.   Now if they were just do more...like tell us how to fix GM?   Now anime dealing with American Properties?   Here comes Witchblade...Highlander...and A version of the Wizard of Oz?   Ok, the first just aired recently...some say its good but wheres the Mike Turner-Ism? Sorry guys, not there...no ass cracks eather.   Highlander is going to air later, but my guess its that its going to be a good ass Euro-Anime. The other animated series based on Highlander wasnt that good- but hey, if it does gangbusters- maybe we could see a revival- it wasnt a bad series, just never had a long story arc.   There is the new show as well, The Good Witch of the West...not much is known, but this seems to tell the story LONG before Dorthy and the Gang came to OZ. Maybe the Wizard fell in love and broke her heart... It explains everything.   (theres like 40 some anime that aired this week, many with 13 some with 26 and others continued...last year it was 26 and I liked it that way... despite the Harlem daze there living in, granted i dont like much anime, but if theres any good ones Eyeshield 21, Shana and Blood + are LOCKS for great series.)   Man...   Graduation is coming soon, and things are gonna be hetic. I hope they can bring my grandmother here to see this, but i have my doubts. How can a school make the dates between the final project and graduation day so close is beyond me but damnit i have seen worse.   As for the rest of life? Sabata (Dave) is crazy as ever... James is being too locked in his ways of getting people, my sisters are fine, my parents want me to get married...but it doesnt really matter right now and well- im trying to figure out what makes me tick...   Finally   You payed 400 for PS1 You Payed 350 for PS2 You will pay 375 for PS3. (We all hope.)

The Cartoon Wars=Ambiguously Dumb.

Let get one thing clear.   The Simsons, Family Guy and South Park all have good things about there shows, and bad things about there shows.   The problem is that the bad at many times outwiegh the good.   Now, dont get me wrong- John K and Amid Amidi (who worked at Adult Cartoon Party at Spike TV) dismiss Family Guy on purely astetic reasons. Thats fine. But Sean MacFlane has proven he doesnt need asthetics.   This cartoon war however stems from the fact that Family Guy is stating the Simpsons are stealing Stories from there episodes and basicly have made there Charaters more like theirs. Then, it got worse when they showed Peter on an episode on the Simpsons. They retaliated by having Homer get knocked down by Stewie.   Then, here comes South Park- which after a disspointing issue with Issac Hayes, sets there sights on FG.   The war is stupid for so many reasons- im not saying dont compeate for ad dollars, and marketing and all that- but this little artist spat is just that- a "artists" spat. Not something to split the John K Gen away.   Oh sure, i called the John K Genration- because he said hes the one that changed the Business because he was a hardass to Nick, and Fox Kids (and before that CBS).   Yeah, i could understand that- he brought back the animation buisness from out of the gutters.   But my friend, all you did in your relvence of the old men of animation, was make every tom dick and harry to try to meet up to your standard. And as you see they are reaching your standard-   Of crass.   Sure, i love your blog, and the history of how the old men did it, and young guns in CN and Nick cant do it. Its true about that. Its one of the reasons why Spongebob continues to do gangbusters in the ratings.   But come on, you started this. You started everybody following your foot steps, it doesnt matter if the shows E/I or TV14- the whole egeist of what family guy and south park does comes from you.   Its not that I want you to change...Im in no posision to do so.   I just need you to just watch what you say about the weakness of the business when it comes to the new artists in CN and Nick...   You the one that started it, and this is the reward of all your work.   CN marketing Naruto over JLA Nick making two new japanese inspired series Adult Swim bring more Kiddie anime and your hear wondering why the buiness is at this state. Pink Making...Sense? (A responce to Sabata)

(Sabata is one of my friends, so he reads this- i just wanted to give him a word of advice- but also i wanted to say somethings)   Lets put it simple easy words.   They dont care and they will never care.   I been there once, and i could care less what they say.   Youre too much of a free spirit to be chained by what a stupid girl says.   Hey, about Pink- Im happy for her. Really i am. Shes married to the guy she loves, and she's asking questions.   Thats all anybody needs to do, not go all over the world and save one child and work with the UN and all that petty bull crap. Its egotism at is best.   Ask them this question- who in the black community is singing this song other than the men?   HELLO?   Anybody?   I thought so.   Keep ripping them apart Sabata. Animations 100th Birthday.

Not as a grain of salt, but today (or really several days ago) was the 100th annversry of animation in the United States.   Didnt know there was a birthday party? Well, there is. But sadly its small and there was not many faces that were reconizable.   Its just that- fate- a industry that put its heart and soul out there only to get manhandled by the rest of the buisness.   If there is anything needing such great honor and praise, its this genre.   However, there is one thing good about this and two bad things about it.   The first bad thing about it is that it's has become a utterly sad issue, when you celbrations over things that we have no control over, or shouldnt be in the minds of people that truly do care- about themselfs first of all or other people. Glaad celerbrations are not going to save a gay man getting knocked the shit out of him, all because some idiot thinks its Holy to take care of this miscraint. No equality parade is not going to change two parents minds on how a child should be raised.   The second bad thing, and its partly connected to the first- is that were becoming jacks of all trades and masters of none. In 20 years, thanks to the issues at Nick and Turner Kids, we will have a animation birthday, however- it would be a popluar one, filled what what ever pseudo-consertive/repressed neo-flowerchild/neo-yaoi shota trap that Hollywood calls the next great era. And you would have your future stars, in desiner bodies, in all kinds of writhing and screaming and creaming in to every single hole they can think of, it doesnt matter if its pie, or a 8 year old child. And this is to be promoted by the 800 (now 1500) pound gorillas as the greatest time in animation- no rather entertaiment history.   But the good thing is about this small party, is that it had no stars, it just had the animators and the storyboarders and those in the last great union that ever made sense in the nation. It was them, however lost they all seemed in the world, as we are all are, and uncertian of the future the business would hold as all animation fans are. Living in that moment- just rememering what took place before.   We have seen what is gone wrong with the buiness. Even Adult Swim is not immune to a future that is happeing and nobody liking the results.   But times change, the truth comes out- and we see what our parents have left us.   Its time to pick up the pieces of the great things, and destory the old system of doing things.   Thats the only way we will see this genre have 200 more years.

Hmm... from CN, to KWBN or TKN?

Strange Days.   CN is airing Saved By The Bell   On Adult Swim.   Now the whole place, and kit and caboole of the modern day animation fandom is up in arms.   No shit sherlock. There turing CN into Tv Tokyo!   Well, par for the course. But this is something MUCH more bigger.   Oh dont get me wrong, i never really liked SBTB.   But it seems now that Adult Swim, is getting too big for its britches. So, some envious bastards over at CN states it time to take the BITCHES with some of the better anime down.   And how, pray tell, we do that?   The symbol of what started the decline of Saturday Morning!   And yes, my friends, that symbol has aired. And it can only mean things will get worse.   So, is it time for a name change for CN?   Fall is not that far off.   And so goes the dream of Ted Turner.   Now, who will pick up the peices? There not gonna catch Nick. Never. And AS is starting to show signs of weakness.   They have open the flood gates, and might have shut the door of what made them great.

-ECW...Returns?   After a near sellout for ONSII, Vince pulled the gun and ECW is reborn. The question is how in the world are they gonna pull this off? The question abounds why he did this, but right now its wait and see...   -Pokemon Leaving Kids WB? Recent news from Mediaweek states that Pokemon is not in the fall lineup...Yugi-Oh is also done (well it was nearing its end) In its place? Tom and Jerry. The returning Loontics, and a new version of Scooby Doo- this time with Hightech Gagets. More like 1976 and 1996 instead of 1966 and 1986 am i rite? Gamefaqs already call racism on Kids WB ON the Dubba-CDubba because anime isnt on the line up, but lets make one thing clear, Its isnt over yet and the anime correction has just started if Pokemon is TRULY gone from the line up.   -LocoRoco Happy Game for a system that needs a boost. PSP will get that boost and just at the nick of time. The demo is happy and everybody will pay 200 bucks for this baby. Sadly, the DS is starting to prove to be a gimmick (Wait, IGA- NO TOUCH Screen?) and now its only a matter of time before the cookie crumbles. (You dont make a game and not use the other screen for something...)   -Speaking of CV The 1999 game is set for Next Gen Systems. The new game is based on the MegaDrive/Genesis game, Bloodlines- now get this, they reconned CV 64. BUT the new game has one charitor that is the grandmother of the girl from CV 64. How can you reconn the granddauther...its a fucking mess. IGA- one thing please. WHERE IS MY CV PSP GAME damnit? Get a shave too man, and please dont tell me you like anime when you are bonking the artist that can acually draw a lick. Damnit its now wonder why Kojima is leery when he gives you a budget for a 3D game, since you still live in a 2D relem and need to get out of the shell. Get this, Sony aint stoping 2D RPG's from the PS2, even Disega got some play and they were reletively pleased. Your just envy Kojima. Well, if you do make a CV as good as MGS3 then you will have your own production company and so on...but your not doing it unless you make the transition. (GTA style perhaps?)   -Why Bleedman is running and gunning and still has nothing? The INTERWEB conterversy with Mandy being death and starting the Iraq war and being apart of 9-11 has made Bleedman a bit hated. Sadly, its not for the wrong reasons. Hes a good desiner- hes no artist. He's a window-SHOPPER, mad as **** they he cant see the real world pass by. The sad thing is he will get a job at warners because they suck horrible. Its time for him to really be an artist and truly be the worker of truth, and not some slave to his friend that cant write a lick. Wow...Long Time Isnt?

But...even I amazed.   Im not here to say 22 was a flop. It wasnt.   It just showed how close again they where from changing the matches on the fly and booking last min isnt going to change things for the Brand.   Of course, they had great matches. Edge and Foley, RVD heading to "HIS" Wrestlemania (ONS 2) with the MITB Contract (Right Now, they can build HHH or Cena to face RVD at ONS 2 and the same result will happen croud wise) Trish has held the Womans Title for a long time, and in a near 10 min match, Mickey James became Magumi Toyota circa 1988 with a Hint of Sherry circa 1990.   Im a little Sad that they had to treat Styles like a kid, but they needed JR as Styles will really become the air apparant - he called Edge/Foley better than I expected.   The interesting matches have to go to The US Title, the McMahn/Michals match. The US match was too short- and something tells me its just starting- Michales tried to out do Edge- and Vince is just crazy.   "Montezuma" Mysterio is your new world Champ.   Um...Ok...why?   Angle was cheered, Ortan was even cheered.   They didnt do this with The IWPG title...   Of course- the match might be three stars, but Cena winning over HHH comes as bit of a shock to me.   The fiddles were being played. The Fans in Chi-town fell for it.   Question now, how will they Bill RVD as the man who can beat both Cena or HHH?   The more intresting question...how is "Montezuma" Mysterio gonna be a good champ? Hes too small...and Angle made both men tap out twice, then you have Henry, Lashey, even Benoit- and lets not forget Bastista...unless we have some Haybusa type mircale spots, the WHC is a bit...screwed.   The brightest news out of all of the matches, was that James is truly what I saw her in OVW. She was Toyota 15 years younger. Now if they didnt give her a boob job she would have been perfect- but you know Vince. These 40 days of ECW (Small Notes)

-If you would have told me that Joey Styles was done in the business, and is not as great as he was before, I would said you were wrong. You would be eating crow now. This promo shows how big this really is. And the fact that he wrote this himself- and Vince Let this go- shows the viewers (The marks, the causals) how damning things have been these last five years. -Then again, WWE has to come up with a retort just as good- I think DX- despite being the face team, still needs to show loyality to the fans. You pull out HHH and HBK plus two new guys (with a new mega powered female valet) and have them Face off Cena and McMahan on one end, and RVD and ECW at the other. -Theres a planned show between RAW, and PPV in New York- The Dayton Ohio show, where there billing a WWE vs ECW show. Now do you let RVD face John Cena? Or (Supposdely) JBL? Cena is the most logical choice- JBL cant do anything right now but spout emotional RTC promos- and how this guy was kissing the feet of Dibase many moons ago, how he was apart of All Japans great years...and so on. Dont get me wrong, JBL can cut good promos...but RVD beating John Cena-WWE's spinning Gold Belt Boy, will just put the ! in EC dub! -The issue now becomes, after the PPV (which will become nearly as big as this years WM- and make twice the money) How does the DX respond to Vince after these issues have come out? How does Cena or JBL deal with losing the title? Will the three week rule come to play? -All these issues plus the other storylines make this summer the hottest in years. If this ECW becomes successful, Japan no doubt will follow suit- and TNA will have to get there *** in gear and become motvated. I see nothing but good things if they pull this off.

Nobody wins with either- ones too western, the other is too eastern.   -who the hell wins e3? How Booker T Really Became King Booker, and ECW...

Worries...   Is it me, or anybody else here- Are at least a bit Pleased at the developments over at Standford CT? Paul Heyman is the king of booking under pressure. Not sure what his plans are but one thing is that after picking Kurt Angle for ECW work, ANYTHING and Mircles can happen. However most of the matches have changed- its somewhat not a good sign...but Paul E has full control (with Tommy Dreamer having a little less, but expect the same mixure of techs and hardcore for the first six episodes, then they will have 70% Techs and 30% hardcore.)   What they are planning is a UWFI promotion- a mix of shoot and pro with hardcore elements. The hardcore elements are the key, despite what other tell you. If they are able to smartly use it in a fastion that doesnt hurt the workers, doesnt insult the fans, brings new people in, and brings ratings (Because it seems even miss Hunter is getting some of the Bastista Juice) Its a winning situation for BOTH TNA and ECW- Because it will a game of on oneupmanship. And since we have ROH in the middle, and TNA uses some indies, the indies will get big ups because some stars will face both TNA and ECW/WWE stars if Paul E or Borash/Cornette (if he gets some of the book) desides to use storylines dealing with the Indies. That brings more people to the indies, which in turn, the if the indies book smartly (and that a huge if) bring more money to the promotion, then a few stars head to TNA or ECW, they use that indy storyline to promote the worker, the worker does well, it moves to Smackdown/RAW/TNA Main Event level and they know what they did in ECW and TNA's X-Division via the indies. They made money for everybody inloved, and the rest is history.   This happend before. RVD? Stone Cold? Raven? Chris Benoit? Even though no connecting storylines happend (other than RVD during the invaison) it has worked wonders. This is one way to each part of the business to work with each other with out stealing much talent.   Somethings that need to happen for the show, is to give the sci-fi fans who are horror flick fans- to give that horror film gimmick...or something like rumble roses with the females (It is a sci-fi game anyhow) And Nova works... (I dont understand why Bravo would not take ECW- its the second channel down that is closer to USA Network but if Sci-Fi does well they might make a shared deal, where Bravo gets the first run shows and Sci-Fi gets a second run to compete with TNA's second run of Impact.)   While that has been happing, Booker T is getting a major push- the reason being that now hes nearing the end and this will be one final run at the top. Another thing being is this bit of news:     (From WO)   Booker T is a rare commadty, We have seen many Afro-American stars, the strong Zeus, Tony Atlus and so on. But this guy has been on fire for nearly 2 years nearing the end of his run. The fact that hes had changed his move set in to more of a Hasimoto/Von Erich/Kawada, lots of tech when he needs to but he will bust several kicks and use alot of chops to set up power based moves. The thing is that he can still do alot of the moves that he did in WCW, and with a sheer drop brain buster he will be more complete than he ever was in WCW, I dont fear for smackdowns future. He can get a great match out of the Undertaker, he did it with Kurt, did it with Benoit. Besides, the CW has some of UPN's shows, and looking at the lineup, King Booker (with Rey returning later) Given a chance can save smackdown. Its UP to W-C-W/WWE to promote these two (and Batista if he wants to shut his mouth)   And before I go...     When your the General you get all the ladies!

CHAMP, CHAMP, CHAMP!

Seems so long ago that he came from kissing Diabase's Feet, fighting with such greats as Stan Hanson, Kawada, Misawa during the great days of AJPW, Hyabusa...to some the greatest matches, maybe in all of sport (IMO) in Jerry Lynn- To beat the Rock, Austin, all in there prime.   Its about time he won it.   It was 1997, maybe after they did the first invasion storyline when ECW invaded RAW. I was 14 years old. I didnt see much of WWF at the time. And all I did was change the channel one night on a Saturday. There he was. A guy that defied all the conventions of what one can do in the squared circle. I didnt know who he was. I didnt care. I didnt know he had a title, but from that very day i followed him. And from him I saw others. I saw ECW- somebody that was giving us mature, not nessarlly immature storylines. Wresling from guys that could never be reached for many many years. (because come on, honestly most of your american style moves comes from two japanese women who tag teamed in the 1980's) Women who didnt play about who they where... And just all out fun.   And he was the center of that universe.   And when it was gone, the brand and the stars, the business not only here, but all over started to suffer.   Now, that 5 year nightmare is over. He now has the title that he should have had back in 2002. This time, It might be more important because not ONLY he is the focas of a new brand, but he is the guy that if cards are played right will start the major recovery of the buisness. Hes in that league with Hogan and Austin. Cena, where as being hated, ONLY came out of his shell of the five moves of doom because of him.   And I knew that he was the future from 1997.   Thats why were in much better shape this morning, then we were ever yesterday. It will be a process. But a process is needed if we are never gonna get out of the Hollywood wannibes.   RVD, ECW World HeavyWight Champion.   Music not only to my ears, but the business ears.

Words...Fail...

But let me do the best I can.   I didnt get much sleep last night.   Much sleep at all.   I have a 16 hour work day yesterday (as of this post) and I was just wating to relive my young and budding years.   All with the new heros, The new vision.   And maybe Sci-Fi would had some respect. (Duh, I watch it for Doctor Who and nothing else)   But NBC has to be...such liberals.   Guess what, Annie Coulter is right about you dumb pricks.   For this baby to fail, it needed that Hollywood bull crap Steffie plays.   It was full of it.   No, i didnt expect this promotion to be the one I remember telling Jayen about in 1999.   I expect this promotion as something fresh and new!   But like Time Warner, and Kids WB/Cartoon Network/Adult Swim- the fresh and new, is something old and rancur.   I wanted the OLD school I dont care about modern socity promotion! And there is a LOT of story arcs to play off this.   I wanted the new stars!   Here we are, 2006 nearly 5 years after a downturn- and you telling me that there no major superstars after HHH and HBK on the WWE main shows?   Well, in the end- the pessimests won the first battle of the 13 episode war.   Maybe Meltzer was right, they have moved on and may never come back. After this show, who can blame them.   This is going to be really hard for even Heyman to pull up from. I see mircales from him before. But this will trully prove how good can he be.   Because if this fails, TNA will get that two hour show, and will beat The Brand or take MUCH and MUCH audance from them in 6 months.   This will be pretty much be the end of The Brand. Because if they cant even expand in the pro game, what else are they going to do!? Even the hardcore marks know something is wrong. If they cant even succeed in PRO WRESTLING, THERE DEAD, and the business will change forever.   And some how Vince knows this. And thats why he will stick to his guns. And he would want to fix this.   But if he cant, and there are signs pointing to this- you are going to see such a shift in this buisness, that your not going to see more TNA's poping up to compete in the business, its going to be the RULE your going to see start ups.   Saturday Morning (when the ratings come in) is going to be a really intresting look.   12 episodes left.   Can they reverse the worst pro show in history?   Or is this the end of the WWE...

Three Men, Three Stories.

In a moment, a whole industry can been changed.   In a moment, lives will never been the same.   So was the moment at ONS2- the world champion, a TRUE world Champion was crowned.   But what makes a true champ, is the how he does under pressure. And so far, it has been with flying colors, despite what others tell you.   However, this is not about that man.   Its about the Main Writer and the President of the Company that owns them.   They pretty much wanted to say Sorry but didnt want to imbarrass the shareholders.   Thats the first true test of a man, its to own up to his mistakes.   However, this message isnt to put them down. Its to help them.   There is some storylines that will be both progressive, promote stars, hardcore, keeps Sci-Fi happy, get ready for the old guard to step down, and so on.   The Zombie story arc might work, however- he needs to be cleaned up more. Instead of a horror Zombie- its a Psyological one- he feeds on the emotions of the croud, and uses to his effect.   The Goth Story Arc- A tag team mostly.   The Cosplay arc, send out the geeks, until you get to the pretty girl. You figure out the rest   (Densha Otoko) Arc- The basic new Dreamer Vs Raven storyarc. Read the Wikipedia article on 2ch. Eugene, or Trever Murdock are perfect for the roles, with CM Punk or another being the heel.   Thats just off the top of my head.   However, the crowing from Jeff Jarret is well founded. Come on, who ever would believe that we care about Steiner and Nash again? And the fact the book has been very good at times, and there house shows have been amazing at times, He has reasons to talk smack. Hes got some of the best talent, old men ready shine one last time- and young lions HUNGRY for titles. The only thing hurting this, is the title situation. Christian is a talent, but years being in the midcard has hurt him. Joe- is too damn good for the X title- and I hope that if and when American Dragon heads to TNA, that Joe drops it to Dragon or maybe Homiside. The tag teams are about to get better with LAX ready to go. 6 good tag teams are better than none! All they need is just a little help from the Ladies side- more international flavor (Please get Nagata, Nakatashi, and Tanoshi here! Oh and when you and CMLL reconsile- I would like to have some of their big stars as well), and we have something that Heyman only WISH he can touch.   ---   But if there is one thing that made me happy this week, is that AJPW is starting a major rennasonce after many slow years. The Best World Champ, is Satoshi Kojima. He has held the title in his first defence, 9 times. After winning over Kawada back in 2005, he has faced some good...some bad, but truly showing hes a champ. Even though Akiama has been ok, Kojima is truly on another class of his own. Besting Brock Lesnar at his own game is not an easy feat. Sure, they dont have a major TV deal- and they havent been in the big venues for quite a while. But the upcoming match between him and Kea- will revenigurate AJPW back into form. Kea has been no slouch, but that will tell you how much Mutoh respects the company he took over- he let the young guy do his thing and he did it well. I wish this upcoming match makes people forget the Pride troubles, and see what they have been missing for the last several years.   Next week, can ECW Recover from the worst show in a genration? Will TNA get over 70,000 buys!? Is this the Summer of DX? King Booker might lose, but is he ready for a title shot against Rey? How come Rey keeps losing!? Is Batista gonna finsh off Henry? Will Kennady move Smackdown to new hights?   Thats all next week.

The end of a wresling era...

A end of era did come.   In the year that UFC is getting 600,000 buys...   In year that ECW came back...with limited success...   There is one constently honest truth.   The Modern Womens Wrestling Era is over.   Not that it ended in a wimper, by the way.   The simple fact is that Trish Stratus, given all the challanges, the hate, and some times the overly stalking love from fans and detractors- is a talent.   The fact that some great matches are done with very little moves only shows why one division has been conistant even despite how the men mess it up, and the booking and so on.   A 30 year history, starting in 1976- with its peak starting in the 90's and the ladies of FMW, and one Magumi Kudo, the queen of all of Joshi at that time (despite the amazing work of Toyota, Kong and Kandori)...Trish belongs to those Goddess.   If there is one thing the WWE did right in these dark times, is that they have 80% of the time- they have left the Woman's Division alone. Granted, in 2004- the Division could have reached greater hights. However, that didnt happen.   But the matches from 2005 between Lita-Trish-Mickie at times Victoria were very well done. They hate it because its not Joshi- but you have to give some credit, before Fit Finley went to Smackdown, he trained the Divas. And you see aspets of this wonderful pro star in that division. Luckly, were just seeing Finley in action- and how truly good he is. But the Division never let up.   In fact, it had the best storyline of 2005-2006 with Trish/Mickie. And one of the better matches too.   In the end however, Lita and Trish was Kandori and Chigusa. Basicly, the best the women have to offer.   It a sad time in the business right now. But last night was a small memorial bright spot in the cloud of darkness and abstractness in the business.   Miss Stratus, Thanks. Thats all one fan has to say. Sometimes I dont Get Vince. (and other things)

(Note: I havent been around and the reason being is that I am starting a Animation Production Company- Garou Gothic. And so that has been taken a lot of my time.)   This is from PWInisder:       Wow.   Im stunned. Utterlly Stunned. First lets go back what he stated about ECW. One, he was honest about it. Basicly I was left without a clue on where they were going to do with ECW after the Summerslam PPV. But after the deal, they went Taped, TEST (TEST...TEST?) and Bob Holly had great matches (with no Piledrivers sadly) against RVD (who is now pretty much become Hashimoto in his Offencive Style- which is the natural evloution of his AJPW/ECWv1 Offence).   The larger point i want to mention is the Divas. Ok, Vince- this is the strangest comments I have ever seen. You want to show Divas in a "classy way" but need more sexuality on the website. (The word your looking for is Senuality, Vince). Then he metioned the why the Divas went from a Joshi based Divison, to a strippers. He stated that we want to see more female matches and relationships between the male and the females...then states...Times have changed... Times have changed. However, will there be a new focus on the Division? Time will tell (But Strip Poker...uhh...yeah...but considering ECW's history)   Hes high on Finley, which is not a shock- because Finley is one of the last great Catch-based Pro Stars. He doesnt have the looks, but a damn good Finsher, and a interesting move set. His lariats (short range) are more blowback haymakers than true shortrange lariats. Benoit's planned Final run, (which i think it is) will be for a world title. Dont be suprised if its between Finley- or maybe Kennedy or MVP. Its gonna be at least 2 years before I even want Lashey start running for the Title- He needs to fix his punches, and change his power based move set into Hybrid style like Terkay.   But in a more intresting and somewhat sad note. Youtube is a bit of a problem for me. Bad Codecs, even worse streams. But there was a few things I saw. The way a Joshi match is done. Folks, lets put it this way. They fly around, they dont die, every damn MOVE COUNTS even when you think its not important. And because of Low Center Of Graverty, they are the purest fighters. In some of the links in Youtube, Kudo and Toyota (along with there partners) showed us how crazy these ladies fight. When you see Toyota fly, the girl rips the taste out of Kudos Mouth not once, BUT 6 TIMES! The later dated matches, shows a little bit of a old style the old ladies used to do, however it a little WWE fided. But its amazing how they turn out a show. But one of the videos there was a training episode with Sakamura (Mariko). One of her traininees tries a drop kick. She couldint get it. FIVE times. Then Sakamura does the drop kick and RIPS HER FUCKING HEAD OFF. The trainee is bleeding. Thats the love this lady as for the sport. If thats just the womens...Think about the men...and how far they go. Tough Enough has nothing on Puro/Joshi training. Were even lucky we have Joe and Danileson that can hang with these guys.   The sad thing is now, Zero One has a Joshi Fed called SUN. Which is bringing back the NWA and AWA titles for females. They brought some African American Bodybuilder, named Africa 55. (HEY Naki-San, WHY NOT call her Sista A while ya at it!) and others. But to bring big amazon like girls to to feed the need...ugh...   Will Joshi see a new sunrise?
