• Even though this story is funny, what with the shirt's message and all, when this bitch goes out and kills someone with her car we'll all be going "OMG WHY WASN'T ANYTHING DONE BEFORE THIS HAPPENED?" Here's a news video regarding this story for those that care.

When Amanda Lynn Bailey, 41, was arrested and charged with DUI, police found it ironic that she was wearing a t-shirt which read, "I'm not an Alcoholic, I'm a Drunk. Alcoholics Go to Meetings".

Police were amused by it, so they made sure that the shirt was visible in her booking photo.

The Riverview, Florida, resident was also charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and was released after posting $750.00 bond. Bailey has been arrested twice for drunk driving with the past three months.

• I bet this would have been an intersting sight.

A French rap star who supports right-wing French President Nicolas Sarkozy was pelted with projectiles and booed off stage at a concert in Geneva, local press reports said Saturday.

Dozens of spectators at the opening free concert of a two-week summer festival staged a mini-riot at the appearance of singer Doc Gyneco, forcing the organisers to cancel the show after half-an-hour, the reports said.

A French rapper supporting a right-wing president? The closest thing I can think of right now as to when this happened in the United States was this with Eazy-E.

N.W.A's song "(Expletive) the Police" garnered criticism from Assistant Director of the FBI Milt Ahlerich, who sent a letter to Ruthless that took exception to the lyrics. The episode resulted in a publicity boost for N.W.A.

A similar twist occurred when Wright was invited to a Republican fund-raiser. His acceptance drew criticism from fellow rappers, but the business savvy Wright explained the situation before his death: "So what they did was picked my name off for giving donations and they sent me an invitation to come down there, an invitation that said, 'We want to invite you to the Republican's party.' I'm not no (expletive) Republican you know. When we went down there, and as soon as I got off the plane, we had CNN and all these people like 'Eazy-E: gang member, drug dealer' and they just blew it up. Basically, what I did was paid $1,500 for $1,000,000 worth of press."

• While on the hip-hop subject, I got KRS-One playing in the background. My favorite track on his self-titled album is coming up, which coincidently is the same album that has a song called "Free Mumia." There's some good advice in this verse, even if you don't plan on being a rapper in order to pay the mortgage.

In the beginning was the word, the word was made flesh

Knowledge K. Reigns R. Supreme S.

Some of us guess while others of us are blessed

Take heed to the word, that I manifest

I manifest the future, the present, followed by the past

Everything in nature, rules by kickin ass

What they tellin me, but yo, you a friend to me

so I'ma tell you the secrets of MC longevity

Secret one: if it ain't fun, you're done

And about your career, huh, well choose another one

If you don't like what you do, you're through

Lesson two: make sure you got a dope crew

Not some crew, that's like an anchor on a shoe

A MAD CREW, that's of some benefit to you

Lesson three, might be contradictory or funny

but MC's should have OTHER WAYS of gettin money

That's to say learn other things beside music

Make money elsewhere, Hip-Hop you won't abuse it

Too many MC's, just emcee

so their longevity, is based on an Uncle Tom

at the record company

Lesson four: sell your image, never sell a record

Image is respected, records come and go

and get collected

Even the records of platinum artists, that used to rip shop

can be bought, for a quarter at the thrift shop

Which brings me to lesson number five, the illusion

has me thinkin, the minute they drop a record

they'll be cruisin, in the Acura

Slow down! You're still a amateur

What seperates the pro from the amateur is stamina

Not how long you can rhyme, but how long you've been rhymin

changin with the times, and findin yourself

still CLIIIIIIIIIIIIMbin for wealth

Blow for blow, you're still growin, still showin

(all knowin) now that's a pro at it
