• So it looks like there was one talent "the stars" had.

The secret talents of celebrities will remain hidden. CBS is axing its new reality show "Secret Talents of the Stars" after only one episode.

 

The first airing Wednesday had former "Star Trek" actor George Takei singing "On the Road Again." Only 4.6 million people tuned in—and thousands tuned away as the hour continued.

 

The reality show also had Clint Black doing standup comedy and Mya tap-dancing. Danny Bonaduce is among the celebrities whose secret talents will be kept to himself.

 

CBS officials say news programming is expected as a temporary replacement.

I don't care for much of reality TV outside of "Cops" and other videos of blacks and rednecks getting beat down. That doesn't mean I hate the genre, though. For some sick reason the better half and I have seen a number of Vh1's "Rock of Love" shows this past season, although I think it's more for the train wreck factor than desired viewing. Ugh, as I type, she's got "Survivor" on downstairs.

• Maybe all the protests about the Olympic torch headed to China isn't about the country's crackdown on Tibet and people that like to do yoga in public.

By the time this pyro parade is over, it will have produced about 11 million pounds of carbon emissions...

 

So when the torch isn't being marched through city streets and/or extinguished by protesters, how is it getting around? You guessed it, by plane -- an Air China A330 custom painted with the Olympic logo and color scheme. The A330 burns 5.4 gallons of fuel per mile. That translates into 462,400 gallons for the entire trip. With Earthlab estimating that every gallon of jet fuel burned produces 23.88 pounds of CO2, the Olympic Torch Relay is adding about 11 million pounds of carbon to the atmosphere. That's 5,500 tons.

Oh lord...

London has a plan to ensure that the 2012 torch relay ends up carbon neutral...
