Sankei Sports notes that K-1 matchmaker Sadaharu Tanigawa is interested in booking Akira Taue vs. Akebono for the 10/2 WRESTLE-1 show in Yoyogi. Taue is slotted as the next GHC challenger for Takeshi Rikio's belt. That match will happen on 11/5 at Nippon Budokan.

ZERO-ONE MAX ran their September 19th charity show (for Naohiro Hoshikawa) in Tokyo at Korakuen Hall, claiming 1,700 paid. Results:

 

1. Takuya Sugawara defeated Osamu Namiguchi in 4 minutes, 22 seconds.

 

2. Ryoji Sai & Hiro Yokoi defeated Kamikaze & Takehiro Murahama in 10 minutes, 17 seconds when Sai used a La Magistral cradle on Kamikaze for the win.

 

3. Hardcore Kidd & Bambi Killer defeated Yoshito Sasaki & Rikiya Fudo in 13 minutes, 2 seconds when Kidd used the Manhattan Driver 2005 on Fudo for the win.

 

4. US Title Match: Alex Shelley defeated Sonjay Dutt in 12 minutes, 34 seconds with the shell-shock.

 

5. Kohei Sato & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga went to a no-contest in 4 minutes, 44 seconds.
