Starting next weekend, both HEAT and Velocity will now be available to watch on WWE.com. The VOD-style programs available to residents of the United States will still feature the same great original matches. In addition, however, each show will also have unique content never before seen on the program.

So be sure to log onto WWE.com next Friday afternoon to watch the inaugural edition of HEAT on the Internet. Then watch Velocity on Saturday morning, starting at 10 a.m. ET.

Greetings from under the black, 200X Resistol hat while anxiously awaiting to launch Monday Night RAW on the USA Network with a Texas-sized “WWE Homecoming” in Dallas on Monday October 3, at a special time of 8/7 central.

Torrie Wilson, one of the “ladies in pink,” has been spotted traveling to WWE events with her rather small dog in tow. I have a hard time managing a roller bag much less a live animal while traveling. Torrie is doing a tremendous amount of running these days preparing, I am told, to run in a marathon coming up soon. Torrie looks hot in pink or in nothing as we have seen in Playboy.

Matt Hardy had a real pain in the ass Monday when I saw him after executing that unbelievable leg drop off the top of the cage onto Edge at Unforgiven Sunday night. Matt was not complaining and is a gamer, but he was really sore. Obviously, Edge was not in great shape after the cage match either.

Yours truly is taping a segment for the Oklahoma City UPN affiliate, UPN43, Thursday in my backyard for an upcoming special they are producing on the 100th college football game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns coming up on October 8. With OU rebuilding somewhat this season and after beating Texas five straight years in the big game, I am sure the Steers are licking their chops waiting this year’s Red River Shootout. Rivalries such as this one are one of the things that make college football so great.

Our crack staff at WWE.com has pointed out to me that a pundit questioned why I would compare myself to John Daley when asked by the King during Unforgiven what golfer I would be like if I golfed. Not that it matters, but I don’t play golf anymore and, as a matter of fact, I threw my golf shoes in a lake and gave my clubs away to a total stranger after a miserable 18 hole round over 20 years ago. Not that my flippant remark impacted the broadcast, but to address my seemingly strange response, Daley is a country boy from neighboring Arkansas, reportedly likes a cold beverage (me, too), obviously enjoys fried food much like yours truly, and is not the TV’s idea of what a golfer should look or sound like, which I can relate to as well.

Expect to see newly-signed Matt Striker, the school teacher turned wrestler, to be basing out of Atlanta soon to get him more opportunities to improve his game. Striker has potential but needs seasoning.

John Cena and Rey Mysterio had a successful promotional tour of Italy recently. WWE will tour Italy in November.

I love it when WWE.com polls our fans. On the favorite match poll at Unforgiven the Cena-Angle match and the Hardy-Edge match are almost in a dead heat the last I checked.

Another sage-like pundit on the ‘net called me out this week about my “overselling” of the eight-man tag team main event Monday night on RAW, as I called it “one of the biggest main events ever on RAW.” We have not had too many eight-man tags on TV and with the star power involved and the raw numbers alone in the match, it felt that big to me.

It was really wonderful to see two of the three members of the legendary rock band ZZ Top sitting at ringside Sunday for Unforgiven in Oklahoma City. I had dinner with lead singer and song writer Billy Gibbons and his crew Thursday night in OKC at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill. Both Billy and Dusty Hill have been long-time wrestling fans with Billy growing up on Paul Boesch’s Houston Wrestling while Dusty watched wrestling as a youngster out of Dallas. The ZZ Top crew carries literally hundreds of wrestling DVDs that they watch on their buses while on tour.

How great was it for long time fans to enjoy the moment with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair when he won the Intercontinental Championship at Unforgiven? Flair is obviously at the twilight of his long-and-amazing career but this title victory seems to have invigorated the “Naitch” who still firmly believes he could have one last run with the WWE Championship before he hangs it up. Time and Mother Nature may well answer that question but it will never be because of Ric’s lack of desire to perpetuate his well-earned legacy or his passion to perform on the main stage.

I really enjoy seeing Bob Orton, Jr. on Friday Night SmackDown and would love to see other legends involved on either UPN’s Friday Night SmackDown or on Monday Night RAW. By the way, I think Michael Cole and Tazz, if that is his real name, do a helluva job broadcasting Friday Night SmackDown but I’m still jealous of them for being able to do their thing from ringside while we on RAW are broadcasting from right-center field REALLY close to the pyro.

I have mentioned this before, but I suggest you keep your eye on Mr. Kennedy on Friday Night SmackDown. I feel he has a shot at becoming extremely good SOONER than later.

Rene Dupree is out after having umbilical hernia surgery. I had that same surgery years ago and for a wrestler it is about a six-week recovery period.

WWE officials tell me they are impressed with Ashley Massaro’s attitude and desire to learn to wrestle. Getting really good in this business starts with attitude and a strong work ethic and Ashley seems to have both.

Not too sure if Cade and Murdoch are going to be fan favorites, but this young duo winning the World Tag Team Championship Sunday in OKC should certainly provide them some momentum. Murdoch has a unique look and, along with Cade, is providing a breath of fresh air to the RAW tag team scene. Whether the tag champs are booed or cheered doesn’t matter to me as long as there is a rear end every 18 inches in a sold seat to watch them wrestle.

Would you please “pass the torch?” Or the jelly.

Pass the torch. Please stop the insanity. No one is going to “pass the torch.” But the torch can be taken if a wrestler has the goods. Just ask Stone Cold.

I expect several surprises for all of us when Monday Night RAW hits Dallas on October 3. Lots of legends and Hall of Famers to be on hand as many of you already know. Three hours might not be enough time to get all this show in which is a good problem to have.

Some TNA News:

Chris Cash definitely dove right into the meat of things from the get-go as he asked Don his thoughts about Jarrett surprisingly winning the title back from Raven. West said he was shocked liked everyone else and found out the same way by reading it on the 'net. "They kept it a well-guarded secret," West stated, "I've been asked this question so many times and I guess the best answer I can give you as far as him being the champ, let me tell you something...this guy and his father started this thing and nobody believed in them almost four years ago now and you know the work he's put in...and the blood, sweat, and the tears he's gone through...who better than Jeff Jarrett should be champ when we come up on Spike TV?"

After acknowledging that he did read the Internet, Don was asked where he felt Jeff's criticism stemmed from and although he felt Jarrett himself could probably answer the question a little more efficiently, he managed to give it a shot. "One thing I've noticed about the Internet as a whole," he began explaining that he was on it quite often and enjoyed it, "any Internet message boards when you're reading where people are reacting, 8 times out of 10, it's the negative ones that respond. Hey, I get them about myself and if I took it to heart, I'd be sitting there banging my head against the wall. Most positive people don't have a need to vent the positive, they just live that way." Don also feels that it means Jeff is doing is job if he's ticking people off.

Don ended the Jeff Jarrett conversation with an interesting story about Jeff when Don first started with TNA. "I had other things going on and he pursued me for months," he said, "and when I did it, you talk about getting criticism on the Internet, goodness gracious, you bring an outsider into this business..you're going to get persecuted. And mine was justifiably so because I was pretty bad or awful might even be a pretty good word and I went to Jeff and I said 'Jeff look, I don't want you to take heat for me man, I've got things going on...if it's better off if I move down the road, you just say the word' and he looked at me, I mean looked me right in the eye and said 'Let me tell you something..in this business, you better have thick skin and you better get it quick and secondly, you're my guy...I know what you're going to be like down the road, I've got a vision, and you're gonna do it..eventually all this will be behind us and we're gonna laugh about it' and I feel like we've kind of come to that point."

Gomez asked Don who he thought would be the go-to guy to challenge Jarrett once they return to television and brought up Monty Brown being a great choice. "Monty Brown just seems obvious," he agreed, "this guy can talk like nobody, this guy is unreal. He's just got so much charisma and he's getting better and better in that ring and the people love him. It's almost like you try to turn him heel and you can't do it, they love him". After mentioning that, Chris brought up when they did recently turn him heel to align with Jarrett and West felt like it still worked out for the best. "When it's time and I know his time has got to be coming...I think it will be a great move."

Don mentioned that he does follow the current WWE product just to keep up and said that there were a couple things that he would like to see TNA focus on to show the main differences between the two companies. "I think the first thing that stands out about us is the fact that we took a pay per view and main evented the X-Division," he continued, "you would never see that on WWE. You just won't. You're not going to see Paul London main event a pay per view although he'd probably go out there and they would be standing on their feet yelling 'match of the show' when it was over with. We're not afraid to do that." West stresses as the second point that the overall in-ring action is the key they need to focus on when they debut on Spike.

"I think we have more athletic guys as a whole," Don suggested as they continued the discussion of comparison between TNA and the WWE. Cash made the point that very rarely do you find any complaints from someone who just watched a TNA pay per view. "Our last four I think have just been unbelievable," West responded, "we've put on some good shows...I'm not kidding you, for the three hours that we've been putting on..it's as good as any wrestling that's been put on pay per view lately. There's no doubt in my mind." West also pointed out that in every pay per view they have, there's at least one spot or match that makes you say, "I've got to see that again," and he puts over Sacrifice as the best pay per view he thinks they've had.

They went on to discuss Don's start in the business, how he was approached by Jarrett, and what he thinks about being involved in professional wrestling. Plus, Dick Gomez calls out Don on a Beanie Baby scandal you have to hear to believe - it's hilarious. They put over the October 1st debut of Impact! and thank Don for being apart of the show. Check out TNAWrestling.com for more information on TNA and also check out the links above to listen to and discuss the archive of the show. Then, don't forget to tune in to VOW live tomorrow night from 7-9 EST with special guests, Trinity and Nidia.

Indy news

Main Show

1. Jay Lethal d. Sal Rinauro in about 12 minutes with the Dragon Suplex

2. Colt Cabana d. Rickey Reyes with a Lariat in about 5 minutes. Lacey was taking notes during this match.

3. Roderick Strong d. Jerelle Clark in about 11 minutes with the Half Nelson Backbreaker followed by the Modified Boston Crab

4. Austin Aries d. Jimmy Rave by DQ after Rave hit Aries in the back with a chair. Rave continued to work over Aries' back until Roderick Strong made the save

5. Samoa Joe d. Milano Collection AT with a Muscle Buster in 15 minutes. The crowd gave Milano a standing ovation after the match, sounds like he won them over!

6. Christopher Daniels d. James Gibson in 26 minutes with the Last Rites. Afterwards Daniels cut a promo putting over Gibson, and Gibson cut one, putting over Daniels, the ROH locker room, and ROH in general.

Intermission

7. Devito & Shane Haggadorn d. Derek Dempsey and Kelly Primo, basically a comedy match, and Devito beat up Primo some more after the match.

8. Nigel McGuinness d. BJ Whitmer to retain the ROH Pure Title after a Low Blow, he then rolled Whitmer up and grabbed the ropes. Whitmer was out of rope breaks. Lacey was also scouting this match.

9. Roderick Strong eliminated Samoa Joe. Daniels hit the BME on Joe, and then Strong hit the Half-Nelson Backbreaker on Daniels so he could pin Joe!

10. Austin Aries eliminated Christopher Daniels. Daniels was going for the Angel's Wings on Strong, and Aries hit a Sunset Flip to pin Daniels.

11. Roderick Strong eliminated Jay Lethal. Aries had just hit Lethal with the Brainbuster and Strong pinned Lethal.

12. Roderick Strong eliminated Colt Cabana with a Piledriver.

After this elimination Aries cut a promo telling the crowd not to boo them for double teaming everyone. He then put over Strong, and said that they'd always be Generation Next, they'd always be friends, but for now, they are opponents, and are going to find out who's the better man.

13. Roderick Strong eliminated Austin Aries to win the 2005 Survival of the Fittest! He hit Aries with 2 Half-Nelson Backbreakers, followed up by the Modified Crab for the tap out victory. Total time of the main event match was roughly 54 minutes. After the match, Strong announced that he would be challenging Bryan Danielson for the ROH World Title on 10/29 in CT!

Marek Brave def. Trik Davis when he hit a spear and held on and flipped over into a northern lights position for the pin.

Kevin Steen def. Brad Bradley in a second round match when he ducked the lariat and hopped up onto Brad's shoulders and executed a crucifix bomb for the pin. Good hard hitting matchup.

Mike Quackenbush def. Skayde in a second round match with a crazy rollup but people were standing in front of me so I didn't see it completely. Very good lucha match.

Chris Sabin def. Josh Abercrombie in a second round match with the Future Shock. Good action throughout as both men had several near falls.

Matt Sydal def. Tyler Black in a second round match. Tyler and Matt were fighting on the floor and Tyler ran at the No Limits music man and used Regal's midsection as trampoline and flipped backwards onto Sydal. Sydal gets the pin with the Standing shooting star press after all kinds of crazy high flying maneuvers including Sydal jumping from the apron and hitting an enziguiri (Sp?) on Tyler who was on the top rope.

Arik Cannon def. Delirious in 20+ minutes with the glimmering warlock. Comedy at first. Delirious did the spit assisted escape from the go behind but Cannon just reapplied it and Delirious did it again and Cannon turned it into a bearhug. Delirious then licked Cannon's face to get out of the hold. Delirious got Cannon into the corner and hit him with 49 clotheslines and Cannon reversed him into the corner and then hit 18 chops in a row. Cannon then did the delayed suplex but the crowd didn't count so I don't know if it beat Claudio's 43 second suplex last night. After the match, Delirious had a bloody nose and a huge gash on his hand and Cannon gave him a hug and a handshake and then gave him some ice for his nose.

Chris Hero def. American Dragon in the second round. The finish came as Hero did the airplane spin to Dragon but it had no effect. Dragon took down Hero and went for the cattle mutilation but Hero blocked it. Dragon went into a crossface chickenwing but Hero made it to the ropes. Dragon yelled for an airplane spin of his own but Hero countered into a rollup for the pin. A key point in the match came as Hero had worked over Dragon's knee including a figure four with a backbridge to add extra pressure. Hero went to give Dragon an irish whip but Dragon just fell to the ground. Hero, not usually aggressive, immediately applied a spinning toe hold on the injured Dragon. During the Highland losing streak, Hero probably would have checked on Dragon and then went away from the knee.

Jimmy Jacobs def. Mickie Knuckles to retain the IWA heavyweight title. Jimmy dominated Mickie for the majority of the match and repeatedly would get up from his pinfall covers and act like Mickie had kicked out. He did a Hogan routine and a Stone Cold routine and pulled her up both times. Mickie finally started fighting back and Jimmy went to get a chair. The ref took it away and while he was removing the chair from the ring, Jimmy tried to hit Mickie with the belt. Mickie ducked and Jimmy ended up hitting the ref with the belt. Bryce came out to contiue reffing. Jimmy again goes for the chair but Bryce grabs it and won't let him use it. Jimmy shoves Bryce with the chair out of the ring. Mickie hits the kick of doom and Ian in a ref shirt runs from the gimmick table to the ring but can only get a two count. Iron Saints come out to attack Ian but Rainman and Tank cut them off. Ian follows them to the back and Jimmy hits Mickie with powder to the face, the belt to the face and a centon and gets the pinfall to retain the title. Ian returns to the ring and tells Jimmy that his title reign will end in Morris as it will be Jimmy Jacobs vs. Colt Cabana in a lumberjack strap match so there will be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide for the champ.

Kevin Steen def. Mike Quackenbush in a semifinal match. Steen attacks Quack when Quack was coming to the ring. He injures Quack's arm and works it over the entire match. Steen gets the pinfall with his package piledriver.

Matt Sydal def. Chris Sabin in a semifinal match when he counters the Future Shock into a rollup for the pinfall. Sydal jumped from the apron and executed a rana on Sabin who was sitting on the top rope. Great high flying action from Sydal and great power wrestling from Sabin throughout.

Arik Cannon finally defeats Chris Hero in a semifinal matchup that was the match of the night. The first five minutes was a respectful display of wrestling and counterwrestling. Cannon then slapped Hero and the fight was on. It was a contest of who could chop who harder. Who could headbutt who harder. Then an awesome display of suplex after suplex on each other. Cannon got the victory with a backslide out of nowhere and you could tell that Hero was pissed but Hero was offering to shake Cannon's hand and everyone thought we might finally get the show of respect between these two after the series of matches in Midlothian. Cannon knocked Hero's hand away and put his hand out so that he was the one to offer the handshake. Hero shook Cannon's hand and they hugged each other. Hero then raised Cannon's arm but then delivered a clothesline and just totally snapped. Mickie and Trik and Bryce finally get Hero off of Cannon and are yelling at him. Hero is apologizing to everyone and asking what he has done and keeps trying to walk over to Cannon and check on him. Hero then throws Bryce through some chairs and drills Trik and Mickie and then tears into Cannon again. The crowd was going crazy and 200 people were standing in front of me so I couldn't see everything.

Iron Saints def. Tank/Rainman to retain IWA tag titles. Saints use double teams to control early but then Tank's size takes over. He picks up Sal for a Samoan Drop and then Rainman presses Vito up and throws him on top of Sal and Tank is then holding both Thomasellis across his shoulders. Double Samoan Drop and the crowd loves it. Later in the match Saints take back over and hit Driveby and then go back up top but Tank cuts off Vito and Vito knocks Tank to the floor. Vito then goes to jump onto Tank but Tank catches him and throws him through the chairs. Sal runs and dives at Tank but gets caught and thrown through the chairs. Saints regain control and go for the pendulum on Tank but Rainman breaks it up but Saints then work over Rainman and get the pin.

8 Man Tag Elimination I didn't get to see a lot of. Nate, Puma, Generico and Brandon all wear masks to the ring and get an 8 year old kid into the ring to dance with them to Nate's music. Kid goes dance move for dance move with them and then even breaks out a breakdance after Puma did one. Joey Ryan, Claudio, Alex Shelley all come out dressed as Super Dragon along with Super Dragon. They hailed from Dragon Quest, Dragon Ball Z etc. Lots of curbstomps and crazy action. Super Dragon eliminates El Generico to win the match as the sole survivor on either team. Claudio blocked a tornado DDT and threw Puma up into the air and drilled him with an impressive European Uppercut.

Ian announces that Cannon can't compete in the final due to injuries from the attack by Hero. Steen vs. Sydal one on one for the tournament final. Steen is in control and beating up Sydal. Cannon comes out with his shoulder wrapped and gets into the ring. Ian tried to stop him but threw his arms up in disgust and walked away when Cannon jumped into the ring. Steen immediately drills him in the shoulder and then does the package piledriver to eliminate Cannon. He then goes to the gimmick table and takes a Sydal tshirt and comes back to the ring and chokes Matt with one of his own shirts. Sydal hits a twisting flipping dive off the top to the floor and then the match gets real competitive. Steen goes for the package piledriver but Sydal counters with a rana. Steen hits a beautiful 450 but Sydal kicks out. They go to the top rope and exchange punches for control and Sydal gets the advantage and knocks Steen to the ground. Sydal hits the shooting star press for the victory to win TPI 2005.

Cannon comes out to shake Sydal's hand. Ian calls Daizee and Delirious into the ring and he puts over all four of them and tells TNA that they need to sign Delirious and Sydal. Cannon asks Ian for a title shot. Ian tells him anytime he is fully healthy he can have one. Ian then tells Cannon that he has something for Hero after what Chris did to Cannon...On Thursday night, October 13th in Morris, Illinois it will be the long awaited rematch...Chris Hero vs. Samoa Joe.

Remember the news item from two days ago about Kenta Kobashi having a meeting with Johnny Ace in America? Tokyo Sports has a teaser listed as "Kobashi's WWE participation." If he shows up on RAW on 10/3... If he works a dark match, I'd consider that lucky.
