So after my debacle of trying to be different by rehashing an old idea (posting clique) .... I come around tonight and try to be different...

 

Basically combining an RP style and a posting style into one...

 

and I get shit on for it...

 

Sure it was by only one person....but it seems that a sheep mentality will prevail, as even I have been a part of it before...and know it works...

 

Originality is dead here...plain and simple. Unless you are imitating someone else, by HHHating, Board Pimping, being ESTABLISHED~!, or something just as similiar....you are looked at as a moron who should just stop and "join in the mold"

It seems that if someone isn't a part of the "upper echolon" of posters that they should attach themselves to one of them and try to mootch off of thier heat and get into that echolon...and nobody can get up there on thier own....

 

I was a post whore...sure...whatever...then I left...and I came back and I made some seriously good posts and actually used INTELLECT to get my point across....

 

You all say the Establishment is dead....but it is more alive than ever...

 

if one of you gets in a scuffle with someone...then the rest of the guys come out of the woodwork to back up their friend...

Sure...I went out and flamed the poor guy...but I didn't do it for CWM...I did it because that guy was acting like an idiot...but most of the other posters in the thread were more about defending themselves and making themselves look better....

but the day one of your friends tries to be different or act in a wierd way you turn on him (I would know since I've turned on a friend or two) but I always apoligize and get back to keeping them as friends or what not...

It's not the establishment, but there are certain people who command a certain ammount of respect. I don't care that much, because I'm one of them. And so is Rando really. There's nothing wrong with that. The reason we post here a lot is because we get along with the other posters here. The problem is all these little motherfuckers running around trying to wear our shoes. They see how we are, and they're like, "I wanna be like that." They keep the good folks away cause they try to act like us, but they ain't us. We're not a clique. We're the people that post here the most, so obviously we get along with each other better, and respect what we say. That's just life. We're not trying to keep others out. We just don't get a chance to get to know them cause of the sheep driving them away. If people just acted like themselves, it'd be cool. There's just too many dick riders on this forum. That's all I'm saying.

This goes back to what I was saying about thicker skin. I was all but ignored for about a couple of months after I started posting here, but I never felt the urge to start a thread complaining that only three people replied to some thread I started, and two of them were to tell me that I'm an idiot.

 

This board is disposable. I post here to unwind. I like a lot of the people I've "met" here, but if Dames decided he wasn't going to pay for this place out of his own pocket, my life would go on. I can't be bothered to care about a few petty insults thrown in my direction.

Well, from what I gathered, one person voiced a dislike for Rando's new posting style. He should deal with that person (or ignore him altogether, if it's just one) and not suddenly rant on the board as a whole.

Well, Rando has tried several new things and had them all shot down, and I thought a lot of them were good ideas. It's not like this was just out of the blue. I mean, I was talking to him on aim, and I can see his point. So yeah, I'm sticking up for him cause he's a friend of mine, but I can see your guys' point too.
