Alright. I think the Big XII tourney may be the most exciting one b/c it's wide open. Yeah Kansas, OSU, or OU could all make a run and claim victory BUT ISU and A&M can also make a run and win the tourney.

Also something was brought to my attention. If Kansas loses to Mizzou and OU and OSU win then there will be a 3-way split for the Big XII regular season title and OU would be the #1 seed in the Big XII tourney according to tie breaker.

Then all I have to say is go Mizzou.

Winthrop has won the Big South, defeating Charleston Southern 68-46.

The Eagles finished first in the regular season, going 15-1 in conference play, and wound up the season at 25-5 vs. Division I teams. Four of their five losses came on the road to major conference schools (Arkansas, South Carolina, Providence and Oregon). They are 110th in the RPI, playing the 15th easiest schedule in the country.

Big East Tourney is gonna be a bitch to win, as I'm guessing out of B.C, Pitts. and Syracuse, we'll have to beat two of them. And then theres always Notre Dame, and Villonova that always get me worried. Damn the big east and its deep conference.

The Central Florida Golden Knights are the champions of the Atlantic Sun Conference and make their fourth trip to the NCAA tournament, defeating regular-season champion Gardner Webb 63-54.

The Knights' greatest success came at the start of the season, when they defeated Utah State and New Mexico State to win the Top of the World Classic tournament in Fairbanks, Alaska. They went 24-8 in the regular season, with a 13-7 conference record to finish in second place. They are 130th in the RPI with a strength of schedule of 288.

Eastern Kentucky defeated Austin Peay 52-46 to win the Ohio Valley Conference tournament.

The Colonels compiled a 22-8 record, including a win over Dayton in the season opener. They finished with an 11-5 record in the OVC, good for second place. They are 157th in the RPI, playing the 16th-easiest schedule in the country.

No offense to those who just might be attending the school, but Charleston-Southern played like preschoolers today. Uggh, after re-checking with the box scores, it's because they had 0 bench points, and two guys combined for 31 of their 46 points (at one point, they had 29 of the 36 points).

Chattanooga defeated UNC-Greensboro 65-62 to win the Southern Conference.

The Moccasins finished first in the SoCon North division with a 10-6 record. They finished 19-10 overall, with their biggest win coming against in-state rival and SEC bottom-feeder Tennessee. A 156 RPI and 266th rated strength of schedule will likely guarantee Chattanooga a 16 seed.

To be fair, they were a 7th seed. They somehow pulled off an upset of the 2nd seeded Liberty Flames before beating the 6th seeded High Point Panthers to get to their finals. It was kind of expected that they would be mauled by a team like Winthrop.

As an aside, I do hope High Point gets to the NCAA tournament one of these years. I could only imagine the puns should they pull off an upset.

Is Davidson screwed out of a spot in this tournament due to their loss in the conference tournament, or does their excellent conference record negate that?

Last year OSU was hitting all of the shots to win them games. This year those shots just aren't falling. They aren't as good as they were last year apparently. Tony Allen was a huge blow to the team.

Now though we won't have a 3-way split for the title if Kansas loses. Just a two-way.

It's the Southern Conference, One of the Lowest of the Low when it comes to DI Baskbetball Conferneces. (Right there with the NEC, and MEAC) There is almost no chance that the SoCON EVER gets 2 Teams in due to weak schedules, and BAD RPI Ratings. And even though this seems like the year that a Mid Major will get a Pity Bid from the Selection Committee, it does not look like Davidson is that Team.

Depending on the outcome of the conference tourney. Vermont and Old Dominion could make it has at large teams. St. Mary's from the WCC is projected in most brackets has a 10 seed. So, even if they lose to conf. championship game to Gonzaga, they'd probably still make it.

Their non-conference record was 4-7. They have as good of a chance of getting an at-large bid as Illinois does of rejecting their NCAA bid to go to the NIT.

How come when only 3 teams in the ACC finish over .500 everyone says "Well they're the best. It's expected!"

but when only 4 teams in the Big XII finish above .500 nobody really says much except "the conference is alright...."

You can't go by stats with that tho. Ill take Wake Duke and the Heels over any three teams in any other confrence. Plus GT is a very dangerous low seed if they get and 7 or 8.

I think the Big East is actually #2, then the Big 12. Big 10 blows.

Well, Illinois doesn't need to worry about whether a loss before the tournament would help them. Ohio State just beat them 65-64.

Illinois just illustrated what could be their undoing in the tournament -- they shot just 38% from the field today.

And Mizzou has a 9 point lead on Kansas at halftime! This is fucking amazing!

Everyone is going down! Watch Duke beat UNC tonight! Good god.

OU could win a share of this Big XII crown!

MIZZOU BEAT KANSAS! MIZZOU BEAT KANSAS! OU WINS A SHARE OF THE BIG XII! YES! YES! YES!

After last seasons disappointing non-tournament season I never dreamed that this would happen!

OU should win the Big XII tournament if they play like they're capable. Getting the 1 seed means Kansas and Oklahoma State would have to play each other in the semis. There's a 2 seed waiting for them if they can step up and grab it.

You really think they could get a 2 seed in the NCAA tourney over Kansas and OSU?

What was there seed the years they went to the Final Four and Elite 8?
