Babalu has been unbeatable since I blessed him with the music of Control Machete. BABALU. BELIEVE.

The ref mearly saved Shamrock from the embarassment of getting stopped by Sakuraba's G&P follow-up, which would have likely rivaled Schembri's in hilairty & humiliation factor. -
I'm really suprised K-1 hasn't been all over Okami's jock, but he's a damn good pick up for the UFC.

I'd give you Lesnar and Angle(pre-WWE) but naming people like Henry, TBS? Each have incredible lack of cardio and would easily be beat by any decent fighter. Having a reputation as a tough guy in a worked sport means nothing, so that eliminates Benoit, Regal and Finlay right away. What about Al Snow from about 5-7 years ago? I mean he does have a good background to have maybe been decent back then. Any idea what his training background was back then, aside from some catch wrestling? Even 7 years ago MMA was starting to evolve past the point where random tough guys could simply show up and do well. I believe some background in martial arts, mat grappling, free style, and shoot-fight wrestling. The only reason I've seen him getting mentioned before is the fact that he had a hand in training Dan Severn for four Ultimate Fighting Championship tournaments, and was also in his corner for them. A lot of people think he would have been great back around the beginning of the UFC, because he's pretty good at more than 1 style. Sounds like your average, early-era Pancrase fighter: Good enough to submit know-nothings & trade wins with fellow middle of the road types, but not good enough to compete with the cream of the crop.

I'm thinking Loiseau via TKO from ground & pound, but I've underestimated Swick before, and i would'nt be suprised to see him reverse position on the mat and give David a taste of his own medicine.

Considering I lack the Yellow Fever, hate Sakuraba and dislike most anime... no. "If Liechtenstein had the most popping 143, 132, 123, 114 and womens divisions, I'd probably appear obsessed with Liechtenstein." -

Also, I love how Hioki flew in only days before the fight with Hominick, only saw a handful of Mark's fight footage (which nearly lead to cries of "TREASON!"), heard the rules for the first time the day before the fight, and still laid a beating on him. Random fact: Hatsu Hioki has never been submitted by Shane Rice. -

Hominick has three strikes against him: 1) Being Canadian 2) Being a part of Team Thompkins 3) Not being Hatsu Hioki -

Word is Hominick will likely pull out of his rematch with Hatsu Hioki. "He's all like 'Wah-wah, my dad's cancer has reached his spine! Wah!' Shut up and take you ass kicking like a man, pussy." -MSIA Also, my return to non-faggy avs celebrates Hioki's pwnage of Hominick and general awesomeness. -
Actually, I think Prudius' kickboxing experience is rather limited (I'm unsure if goes beyond some training and association with the USKBA), and when it comes to MMA, superheavyweights are presumed unable to take a punch from another big guy until proven otherwise.

Hey, I'm being honest. Jens is a Top 10 caliber featherweight, but hasn't been a relevant lightweight for years. -

If it weren't for Shamrock, Jens would take the award for "Coach Most Likely to Lose Against the Contestants." -
Actually, IIRC, the first time Shamrock went down was from a jab to his forehead as he was on his toes.

Both. Pretty much anyone who can pay their monthly fees can train at any of the top camps around, though many will start at local MMA/BJJ/TMA/whatever schools first, and some never actually leave. -

At the current rate the PRIDE & UFC shows are boring me, by year's end I'll refuse to talk about anything other than SHOOTO and K-1 MAX. -
Monson supposedly wants nothing to do with Sylvia on accunt of the height difference, so Vera is likely next in line.
-
Well, Arlovski looked like shit once he lost his explosiveness, and Tim didn't really sit down on any punches. Pretty lackluster event, but that's what you get with 4 heavyweight fights.
-
Babalu's 10-0 since he last fought Chuck (also the last time he lost), won the IFC's 8 man tournament in 2003, and has won via submission 3 times in the UFC. He's the most logical contender at this point.

Shamrock is a crusty old vagina.

Tito SHOULD kill him, but Tito's chin & injuries keeps a bet on him being "free money," like Monson/Perrosh.

Make an outlandish statement

Tito once triangled Coleman in training. Therefore, Tito > MC Hammer -
Definitely. Mir was a hot-shit prospect to many people, but many others also felt that he hadn't really been tested yet, especially by a slugger by Freeman, who though never anything special, was a step-up from Traven & Williams. Tito, on the other hand, still has the skills of a Top 10 LHW, and Ken hasn't looked good in FOREVER. Add in the completely one sided ass kicking Tito already handed him, and there's no way Ken winning wouldn't be one of the biggest upsets in recent memory. The only thing that could possibly dull the shock is if Tito comes in looking completely unprepared to fight due to his injuries, but even at 50% Tito would have to be a favorite.
