Way to ruin a perfectly good bottle of Jack....
-
I kind of miss the days of the WWE World Champion getting hammered on Raw...
-
Gotta love JBL... Bringing out the big guns...
-
I'm going to agree with some other sites and say this turns out to be a drinking contest...
-
Didn't really think we'd be hearing the term "Man-meat" on Raw tonight...
-
Costas mentioned it a couple of times, but it seems like the Chinese are cheering for pretty much anyone and everyone in the major events.
-
It really is superfucked. I was watching some yesterday and was confused as shit by the scoring. What's worse is how crooked, inaccurate, silly, ridiculous, and blatantly wrong the scoring/judging was in boxing before they went to the 3 man "button-press" system.

I remember Hall was DDP's guy The Diamond Studd. I dont know how long that lasted either. Hall as The Diamond Studd actually got a decent push in WcW before he left to become Razor.
-
It was a pre-taped program. Don't you mean during his debut? Good point.
-
Does The Shockmaster count since he took a literal downfall right after his debut?
-
Yeah, the old world record got smashed by nearly 4 full seconds, which is unreal.
-
Saw the tail end of it when the announcers were just hammering the judges and their scoring. The basic premise was that the score for the Bahamian, which was a freaking 18, was far too low.

Absolutely incredible ending to that race, and seeing the shit talking French get taken down made it that much better.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
Diamonddust replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
With the next selection in the draft, I'm going to select a tag-team partner for Steve Keirn to battle The Original Midnight Express. I picture them being allies with Buddy Landell, and Keirn and this guy, along with Bill Watts, being the faces in the feud. He's the son of a legendary promoter, and he'll be used as a solid, no-thrills face. Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm proud to select... MIKE GRAHAM -
What was implied? That Stephanie was fat and needed a personal trainer. Most fitness models have personal trainers, as to most of Hollywood A-Listers for that matter. I guess it was more the Susan Powter aspect that would give the "fitness for fatty" vibe... Honestly, I think it was just vanity and ego. It was basically, "How dare it is implied that Stephanie would ever need a personal trainer." Then again, they went far enough with the angle in conception and execution to make it to television at least once before someone brought this thought to the table.

Taz started off with a bang at the 2000 Royal Rumble, and then it quickly became clear that he wasn't going to be able to be his old ECW self.

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
Diamonddust replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
Outside of being a jobber, JW Storm appeared on Halloween Havoc '90. His opponent escapes me, but I do remember Paul E. claiming he had won the Minnesota Tough Man contest a few times. -
I've said it before, but I'll say it again... It'd do Carlito wonders if they'd align him with Chavo and have them work a bad-ass Latino based tag-team.

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
Diamonddust replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
Agreed, plus we get the much talked about Roundtable show that features Flair, two house shows from the late '91/early '92 period, and outside of Flair... the Raw from MSG with the debut of Cactus Jack (Set-up wonderfully by the first interview with all 3 faces of Foley) and the Nitro featuring Goldberg's debut for historical purposes. -
It didn't take Flair long to accept bookings... He'll be in Pell City, Alabama (Just east of Birmingham) on August 23rd doing a guest appearance for Global Championship Wrestling (Benefiting the family of a fallen police officer) http://www.gcwpro.com (I bring this up because this is my "local" promotion and been following it for years. They have a history of being able to bring in some pretty big names every now and then)

Based on their performances tonight, anyone else seeing a Brock/Kongo fight coming up? I've got to admit, though, I didn't expect him to have his way with Heath tonight. That one punch was sick, and Heath's face just looked destroyed by the end of the match. I got a kick out of Brock heeling it up at the end of the fight.

You deserve a pat on the back! -
Flair closing out the '92 Rumble with the World Title win and the subsequent celebration interview was pretty wicked.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

With the next selection in the draft, I'm going to thank HTQ for originally drafting this guy but taking his other choice instead. He fits PERFECTLY with my promotion in the sense of geography and style. He is going to be my authority figure, announcer, and part time wrestler. I plan on using him in a feud with Buddy Landell, who will be a brash cocky upstart with little respect for the elders... and this individual will be more than happy to beat some sense into him. Ladies and Gentlemen, "COWBOY" BILL WATTS For another venue, I'm going back to Tennessee and taking the other major hotbed city of the state. The arena was home to quite a few PPV's in its time, and it will serve my fan-base in the eastern portion of the territory. Ladies and Gentlemen, THE NASHVILLE MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -

Very true... Although, if someone told me: "Pick one person to headline your company: Bret Hart or The Rock"... I'm taking The Rock and not thinking twice about it.
