Except, in the latest New Avengers the Skrull Jarvis clearly knows he's a Skrull. Don't know how that works...

Eh, if the song tanks (and seeing as how I never heard Jordin's single once after she won, it probably will outside of the Idol diehards) it tanks. The main concern would be if they do a Bo Bice-style neutering on the album...

To be honest, hanging around with Taylor Swift I really wouldn't be shocked to see a stripper video. Taylor seems so wild and crazy, I wouldn't be shocked to see MORE pop up about the two of them someday. Plus Katie Webber could be a stripper tomorrow and I'm not sure I'd care. In all fairness, Katie Webber was the first obscure Idol name that popped into my head. Had I actually thought about it, I'd have probably said that Antonella chick. But Taylor Swift and Pickler in a night vision video together? I'd download it. I was thinking the exact opposite. Those chicken legs actually make me kinda depressed... well that and her ass seems to have vanished.

We know, but we've been talking the Kellie Pickler-porn/stripping thing since, well, season 5 - why stop now? It's not like we can talk about Katie Webber's stripping potential or something... Well, we CAN, but it's just not the same, you know?

Well, yes, they've commissioned the songs, but they've thus far had a 33% bona fide hit rate with the songs, so they're gonna keep going with it for a couple more years, I think.
-
Probably not. I think that you can put the Idol debut songs on the list of those you'll probably never hear at a strip club. At least until Pickler starts dancing, anyway...

OK, I had to watch via Youtubery, and if you discount the Hit Single abortion, then I think Cook should easily be the winner. Unfortunately, you still have the Hit Single, and it of course favours the Archuletas of the world, and based off of that, we're probably getting Archie as the winner and I will honour my vow of not watching American Idol again.

This is pretty much what I wanted to know about Johnson, since I only knew about his hoops and football credentials. Having the boxing pedigree will help tremendously...

New Warriors isn't bad. The twist is that the New Warriors are all former mutants. The old New Warriors (Justice, Slapstick, Rage, Debrii, Scarlet Spider... kinda) have formed Counter Force, which is more or less an unsanctioned team. Except that they're registered superhumans. And they're not black ops. My hunch about Mutant Zero btw, is that she's Kitty Pryde. Not saying I'm right or even close to it, but that's my gut feeling.

So, Young X-Men sucks, no?

Since this is still a wrestling board at heart, I can see that, but I think it helps show that House can stand on it's own without the rub from the Idol Machine. And fuck yeah this ep was awesome.

I was picking up my brother in law at the airport, so I haven't seen the results show, yet I'll say that I'm probably not surprised.

Forgot to mention - "Cougars for Cook" may be the funniest/most frightening sign I've seen since the show started...

Locke has always been my favourite "big" girl on the show. Tons more talent than Jordin, IMO, but unfortunately caught behind the Ruben/Clay duo in S2
-
Definitely, but it was up against Dancing and House (which was really, really good), so I can't say I'm surprised. I think the true test as a summer series comes in two weeks once the other shows are done for the year.

What did you expect? He had to do all the arrangements without his dad to "help" him out. Also, I'd like to know how that Dan Fogelberg song "challenged" Archie, and how people don't see that he practically sang the same song three times - it's obvious when you watch the recap. And Lush, I think it should be the "Kimberley Locke" award. Also, the producers couldn't be more obvious that they want the Davids in the finals. "Hit Me Up"? Really? Honestly, if they wanted Syesha around, they'd have given her a Dianne Warren song to sing as well.

It's never been my favourite event, so while I welcome it's return, I'm not really jazzed about it, y'know? Snapback is listed as an event this season btw. Someone like Ben Silverman must've really loved that event, because I don't recall that as being a particularly popular one.
-
Why can't you believe it? Fox will broadcast just about anything...

Damn, TBD is everywhere...

Did anyone else go "they're screwed" when you saw the Joust and Crush was there? The Hang Tough and Assault courses are thankfully bigger. Season One's courses were skewed to the Gladiators to the point where it wasn't funny. Rocketball - pretty cool concept, but I see this more as a crunch time event than an early event. Crush and Venom are pretty ruthless on Pyramid. Crush had a rear naked choke on the Russian woman at one point, and it looked like Venom hit a tornado DDT on the Philipino woman. Rope swing on the Eliminator was pretty lame. Seemed like they were swinging through mud. I did like the return of the Commando Ropes and the spinning log though.

Mighty Avengers was a pretty fun read. The Ultimate Nick Fury disguise was played off well, and the Layla Miller cameo was nice.

Roger Clemens?

C'mon BJ, tell us what you REALLY think...

There's a confrontation I'd like to watch - Judge Judy giving Archuleta a verbal bitchslap.

I don't care for Hogan on the show, period. Having both he and Ali on the show is a waste of money that could probably go towards having an extra event per match.
