Syesha's been Dead Money since around when Rameile got the boot, so I'd say that finishing third is good on her. Although her and Cook in the F2 would be my preference...

Maybe not complete eps, but you can watch performances and critiques on Youtube...

The Wikipedia entry has a link to NBC Universal's Media site, and I haven't seen anything concerning Mayhem, Fury or Stealth. There's also an EW article where they mention Tilt (Tug O War) as an event.

So new season is around the corner, and there's three "new" events: - Rocketball (looks like kind of a reverse Swingshot) - Skytrack (preview looks like it's in the original Infinity Loop config - Vertigo (which I think was a UK Gladiators event) Also read somewhere that Monica's Gladiator name is Jet and Evan's is Rocket...

"Songs that Inspired Rock and Roll" is basically 50's R&B. Or, the music style Elvis stole (for lack of a better word) to become popular.

I'm sure Alan Freed is rolling over in his grave...

So that would basically be Chuck Berry, Little Richard etc. Good God, Archie's gonna go all Pat Boone on a song...

What, butchering Dream On wasn't enough for you?
-
Yeah, I wonder what happened to that guy? I mean, he's not doing Broadway like Clay Aiken or several other former contestants. Give the guy the "send me home" song, or something...

Corrected for accuracy. I've never heard of Wain, but those leg kicks of Hardonk's will probably chop him down. 1) a hit is a kick 2) he's finished with punches. Dude hits hard Fair enough, but his two UFC wins have basically come by kicks, and some nasty ones at that. Based my comments on those wins.

The thing about Archie - the kid can sing. His tone and timbre are really good. However he has no idea how to perform or even - as we saw yesterday - sing something outside of a ballad. As I said before, John Stevens with a better voice. That will probably not help the perception that they want Archie to win, will it? OK, Brooke was probably the worst singer tonight although Castro and Archie were pretty bad too. Cook and Syesha were the only ones to come through with a decent performance. Archie's probably safe thanks to his second song being a KLC special (Has "America" or "God" in the title? Check. A "known" song? Check. Singable? Check), and because he's Archie. Castro may hit bottom two but apparently stoners have figured out how to use DialIdol. So yeah, Brooke or Syesha, and why the lack of love to Syesha I dunno, but she probably gets eliminated and gets snapped up to a recording contract by someone.

You are correct, this isn't a bad choice, this is a HORRIBLE choice!!!! Hey, at least it's not Late Night with Horatio Sanz...
-
At the same time he's not exactly hiding behind his "I got next" status, like Karo was, so in Dana's twisted mind that may make him more of a contender.
-
So what does this mean for Alves' #2 contender status should he lose to Super Dick? And I wonder if they're still trying for Bisping/Fratboy now?

Speaking of the Hoff-er, Nick Fury, this week's Mighty Avengers is all about Nick. And the last page seems to have clues as to who may be a Skrull...

Brooke just needs to eat one good meal. I'm pretty sure she's lost weight since this thing started (which I believe is the exact opposite of what usually happens to the Idols). But whatever. Make a Sara Bareillis-type album for her and she'll be fine. I still think Blake was better than Jordin, Lush. At least with him we wouldn't get an ultra-generic Idol winner album. And Archie IMO is still the best singer in the competition. His problem is that he's clearly the worst PERFORMER left - he hasn't done anything outside of his comfort area, and it's always the same eyes closed, Backstreet Boy motions type crap. He's John Stevens with a better voice and a better genre fit (Lite Rock) for Idol. But to his credit, he hasn't pointed to the sky and thanked Jesus every time he was announced as safe. BTW Leona Lewis... still not impressed.
-
My thinking is that either a) Paula said that "you should never restart a performance", so everyone figured that Brooke did the right thing, or b) it worked in Flashdance.
-
OK, so: Syesha - does her thing, looked great. Castro - I could barely hear the guy Brooke - I would agree with Simon about the restarting, but I think she just wants to go home at this point Archie - It took me this long to realize that he's doing the Clay Aiken/Marty Casey thing where he basically sings the same style every week. FIG - Probably got the best constructive criticism ever when Sir Andrew all but said "you know what, don't sing that, sing 'Jesus Christ Superstar'" Cook - I think Simon WANTS Cook to win, but has accepted that Archie WILL win. So I say B2 is Brooke/Jason, with Brooke going home.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

True, if it's the main event. However Irvin has that "One Punch! One Punch!" power that can be promoted fairly well. Assuming, of course, you ignore that the guy has nothing outside of that. -

The nearest equivalent I can come up with is an NFL contract - one year (or sometimes more) is guaranteed, the rest is not. -
There's a rumour about Whedon doing something with her in his ASM finale...

Just a thought, but could Mutant Zero (in The Initiative) by Kitty Pryde? I don't know how they reconcile all of the post-Decimation stuff, but she wasn't in Messiah Complex, Colossus has "lost the woman he loves", and she would fit Slott's description of a mutant who's "been cover worthy several times".

Don't know if this was GSP's idea, but a) he didn't come out with the interim belt, and b) there was no announcement of fighting for the "undisputed title"... BTW, do you think Fitch is shitting his pants right about now? -
The Batman/Gardner fight was still one of the funniest things ever in a Justice League book...
