Wait, James Rhodes fought in the UFC? Anyways, here's the Bradley link
-
The funny thing was that on Tuesday they were totally setting things up for FIG to get the boot. I mean, she does stuff out of her comfort zone and gets criticized for it, then does stuff IN her comfort zone and gets criticized for it. Granted, those criticisms were generally spot on, but it's pretty apparent that they want her gone ASAP. And of course they want Syesha gone too because a) She's the only one who has a shot of out-Archuletaing Archuleta, and b) America hates black people (sorry, channeling my inner Lushus there).

I kept thinking that the armbar for Jesse was right there if he wanted it, but this is pretty much what you get in the prelim fights. Bradley got a contract with EliteXC, so I think he'll be OK. Unless they test him for herpes. I think both these guys have no problem throwing down against buddies, so I'd imagine that any heat comes from WANTING to create some friction for TV... BTW, I know Maynard's a coach on Team Griffin, and it looks like Rampage has his usual corner guys, but who are the other coaches?

Credit where it's due - you came with Fake Irish Girl, and it works (although I'm sure she's from Ireland) - I'm just too lazy to write that. Off topic but did you know that there's a rumour that Gina's running around at 190? She's supposed to be down to 140 by end of May for her fight on CBS...

So DialIdol is predicting that the guys + KKKLC are safe, with Piper Perabo, FIG and Syesha B3. Cook's DI score is actually 2pts higher than Archuleta, btw.

UFC 83 - Serra vs. St. Pierre 2
starvenger replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
So basically, eat and drink at some cheap place near McGill and then taxi it over to Centre Bell without being totally wasted? I wish you luck, but I think you'll be eating something and/or drinking water at the arena... -

I think I read somewhere (Junkie or 5oz) that Spike passed on it. -

It could've been Sell calling him a mental midget. I mean, Pete Sell calling someone a mental midget is like Tom Cruise calling someone else crazy... -
So much easier to list who you hate, no?

UFC 83 - Serra vs. St. Pierre 2

The easy answer is "whoever's on top", although I'd imagine that Serra's ground game from the bottom is pretty darn good. Anyways, a bold prediction Hawk (although for the reasons you mentioned not THAT bold). Gotta give you props for it. -

If it's a good show though, they won't care. And I'd actually say that Serra has more than a punchers chance to beat GSP, since Georges seems to have a bit more trouble with guys who don't come from that wrestling background. Plus the whole "fighting in front of your countrymen" thing, which could work against you just as easily as it would work for you. That being said, I still think GSP will win, and win in a dominant fashion. -
Pity he's leaving the series, though. I've thoroughly enjoyed his run. I like JRjr, but I think that he's not that great with the faces. Still, brilliant artist, and very very good at storytelling. George Perez, who I think is batshit crazy at times because he likes to draw hundreds of characters at once. He's got my respect for being at a Hobbystar con where the power went out, but he still did sketches for people, and while he charged for those sketches, that money went to the CBLDF. And of course, Nextwave was fucking brilliant. Outside of the usual suspects, Dan Slott has come a long way from writing the Ren and Stimpy comic. I can't imagine that Avengers: The Intiative would've been as good in another person's hands. He's also had a good handle on the ex-New Warriors (not really surprising given that he was working with Fabian Nicieza during his NW run).

Was there really a need to make Fury look like Hasselhoff?

C Dubya, meet competitive eater Sonya Thomas:

That's pretty much the worst case scenario of dinner parties. Funny-painful to watch, I agree.

We're working on her visiting my in-laws in England, actually. BTW for those of you about to become uncles, the sunglasses + baby girl combo attracts women like a moth to a flame. -
Technically, TiVo and DialIdol got it wrong, showing us that even computers don't know nuthin about who's getting the boot.

If it's Western NY, they'd almost be required to have local boy Rashad Evans on the card, no? -
Post here if you dislike Will Ferrell...
starvenger replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Television & Film
I can't say I hate Will Ferrell, but was there a need to have him in the swimsuit pix with Heidi Klum? -
Well, have you read those issues? There wasn't much to the character until that Druid miniseries...

Hasn't Dr. Druid been mocked enough?
