[butthead]Huh-huh, huh-huh, he said 'head cheese', huh-huh, huh-huh[/butthead] Anyways, they're heading towards overkill city. You're gonna have two ongoings, plus some miniseries, AND FKATJL - which I think is going to be a recurring mini. Claremont/Byrne's story arc should be pretty sweet artistically, but Claremont jumped the shark about when he left X-Men (you could argue that it happened earlier) and he hasn't really done anything that really wowed me since.

Well, apparently she's not gonna be in perilous situation after perilous situation and is replacing Darlene Connor as the computer whiz at CTU... ...oh, you mean the comic book. I don't know, and don't care...

That sounds about right. Remember, the NBA is not only about getting the best players, but working the salary cap as well. As an aside, I don't like how ESPN named Carter as the most overrated player today. If you're on the injury list for almost a whole season (or two) should you even be rated? Maybe they're still mad over the whole All-Star game thing... Regarding stuff like Lindros, Francis et al, logic dictates you take the best player available (exception: In the NBA, you can take a very good centre over any other GREAT player, even if they have the potential to be the greatest basketball player of all time), so even if they say that they're not gonna play for you, you make the pick, knowing that other teams are gonna make some offers for your guy. Quebec did a really good job in parlaying Lindros into the nucleus of a Stanley Cup winning team. Vancouver managed to fuck up the Francis trade like just about everything else that they did in their short NBA tenure.

Jack and Cokes are always a good one. I like Long Island Iced Teas though. I remember when I was on a tour of Europe, several people in the group went to a club outside of Venice, and they made some KILLER Long Islands. The key, though, was getting a girl to order it for you, since they made the female's drinks VERY potent (we're talking a splash of Coke in a 12oz glass here), and the guy's drinks were about normal strength. And since I'm in Texas, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention margaritas. Not the most manly drink, but some places make them pretty potent...

Me too. I was hoping that the Clowns would win. I COULD root for the Goats, since they haven't really done anything to piss off people, but they'd probably be the favourite right now, and we can't very well root for that, can we? I COULD root for Reichen and Chip, but they annoyed me at the beginning, were fine during the middle stages, and once they officially "outed" themselves to the teams (although I'm sure that they all knew already) they've gone back to annoying me again. The whole "Jon's mad because he got beat by a gay guy" line smacks of insecurity on THEIR part - it's a race, and if you get beat by ANYONE at this stage you're gonna be a bit pissed. Sadly, the Clowns were too far behind to make up the Fudgepackers' time penalty - I'd estimate that they got in about .5 - 1 hour after the time penalty. So that leaves Kelly and Jon, who are dysfunctional, but aren't on Tara/EvilWil or Zack/Shewhomustnotbenamed level. Given that Kelly is the only woman left, that makes this team the underdog, and probably the team I'll root for. btw, next week is listed as a 1-hour show, so no 2-hour finale, I guess...

You know, it's funny - just the other day I was saying that noone could do a worse song than William Shatner's rendition of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds". But I think Randy Savage is out to prove me wrong...

Um, we ARE talking about FOX, who had 30-year olds Gabrielle Carteris and Ian Ziering playing 16-year olds back in the day...
