    Heroes

No, you didn't, but since you insist that Heroes is ripping off Watchmen, you've implied that that's what's going to happen. Um, no. I said they stole the same storyline. The bomb might not even go off in the end but that doesn't mean they didn't steal. Yeah, it probably means that they stole from a Bond movie or something, since Bond always stops the victim. Bond predates Watchmen, btw. Alan Moore must've stolen the "villain blows stuff up and takes over the world" from Ian Fleming. Those justifications are just terrible and since it's not the first time you've posted stuff like that, I'm going to just accept that I can't change your opinion so you can continue responding to my posts with such weak arguments but I won't try to reply to you anymore. The weak arguments are because I've been sarcastic. I figured the OMG THEY'VE RIPPED OFF JIM LEE just might have tipped you off, but you've been so narrow minded in your look at how everything and anything Heroes has become a ripoff of Watchmen that you can't see that. You're on tilt. Take a break from this thread.

    American Idol

I've sat through Tim Sylvia and Lyoto Machada fights, and I'm still not sure I can sit through it. So I'm not gonna. Good luck to you, my friend.

    American Idol

Agreed. Also, is voting supposed to make you feel better because you're making someone else to give money to charity? Like Lush, I just watched this. I really got nothing out of Phil's performance, and LaKisha's was just there. Blake will still be around because his fans are probably scared of a repeat from last week. Ouch, that was harsh Leena. I didn't like the song choice either, and I was back to not feeling it with her performance, even though the emotion was there and all that. Still, bad Jordin is better than good Phil and/or Chris and/or Kish. So, anyone sitting through all 2 hours of Idol Fellates Itself tonight?

    Heroes

Or so we're meant to believe. It's like how Stormwatch #25 was published after #8 (or something), they went back to issue 9 and built towards #25. Or how DC jumped a year and has been filling the blanks with 52. OMG HEROES RIPPED OFF JIM LEE!! Ahem. The point is that we've seen only a glimpse of the future, but we don't know how we get there. Unless Dragon is correct, and Nathan and/or Linderman blames the whole thing on aliens. Please. AoA obviously ripped off the Mirror Universe.

    NBA Roundtable Discussion

Pretty much. Mitchell was named in a players poll as Worst Coach in the NBA last year. Now he's the best coach? The thing about Mitchell is that he knows that all (well, most) of the credit for winning the award goes to his players, and he made that clear in his interview and in the post-presentation photo by having the whole team in the picture. Classy move on his part.

    TUF VI: Welterweights

Serra also seems like a genuinely nice guy. Which is more than I can say about Hughes, really. But as far as coaching goes, it can all depend on who you pick and what you have to work with. On TUF2 Hughes seemed to pick guys who were a bit more ready, whereas Ace mostly picked guys who seemed more raw (Jorge and Jardine were exceptions). That worked well for Hughes on the welterweight end, not so much with the heavyweights. How much of that was due to the HWs being chunky LHWs, I don't know. I figure Hughes will go with the same strategy and pick the more polished guys. There probably won't be a project like Corey Hill or Matt Hammill on his team. On TUF4, Team Mojo came about by chance, but with Serra as the de facto coach they won 7 of 8 prelim matches. I think that it's hard to gauge how Serra did in the training since these guys were all supposed veterans, but his influence as cornerman was obvious during the fights - you might as well mark "hammahfist" down as a Team Serra strategy for TUF6. Definitely, it will be interesting to see how things turn out here.

I don't think that he is, but speaking of which... "5 Years Later" certainly was at least inspired by "Days of Future Past", dontcha think?

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Don't know if they showed this, but Mitchell made his Coach of the Year photo a team photo with the trophy. Nice touch. Was at the game live. Ugly first half from both teams. Momentum swings were killing us up in the nosebleeds. Especially whenever Nachbar had the ball.

Why would you reimagine "We Are The Champions"? And who was the brilliant person that thought Joss Stone singing "Under Pressure" was a good idea?

It's far too late for that my friend.

    TUF VI: Welterweights

Well, I hope he learned from getting fucked up against GSP. Maybe against Serra he'll try to out jiu-jitsu him.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

You forgot to mention the part where he ADMITTED he was half-assing it. That cemented his heel turn in Toronto. If that happened in New York or L.A., he'd probably be blackballed from the league. Rob Babcock was a guy that was in over his head as GM. He made some decent moves (Alston for James, drafting Villanueva) but the Carter trade more than negated that. He pushed the panic button and traded Carter when he probably could've taken Isiah Thomas for more than market value. Hell, I'm still trying to figure out what a no-talent dunce like Fergie did (or didn't) do to become a member of the group. Probably shorter to list what she didn't do...

    TUF VI: Welterweights

Yeah, but I believe we also gave Serra no chance against GSP. He's got a lot of time to train against Matt the Dick.

    Heroes

Well some people think National Treasure > Da Vinci Code Rudo's right - the movie version of Da Vinci Code wasn't all that great. I think we discussed Watchmen and noted that you can't do the book justice in 2-3 hours, so... well, I hope Snyder knows what he's gotten himself into.

    Heroes

I didn't even think of that until you mentioned it. And now that you have... I hope that whoever's got the rights to Watchmen is... er, watching Heroes. 5 Years Later... and Hiro vs Future Hiro. Sweet. Nope. You're supposed to think that everyone is related like all the Summers' are in the X-Books.

    The Amazing Race: All-Star Edition

Can't disagree with you, although the cleaver to the thick long stick of dough was somewhat disturbing. "We can't all be perfect like you." When even your cousin and supposed friend is starting to hate on you, you've got a problem. Eric wearing the Cha Chas on his ass was pretty funny. And also kinda gay. And I'm shocked that there wasn't a baccarat-related task in Macau.

You'd think so, but Cro Cop walked out under his own power with no apparent problems. I assume that he had a killer headache though.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Don't know how it came across on TV, but just about EVERYONE was wearing red yesterday. There were a lot of "VC Sucks!" chants that were fucking loud up in nosebleed country. The major difference in this game was Jefferson. Everyone else on either side seemed a bit "off" so we'll see what happens in game 2.

    NBA Playoffs 2007: Round 1

Lucky me, then, that my cousin is a season ticket holder and not only am I not paying face value, I'm paying less than that. Unlucky me, they're green level seats. Overall, I'd feel a lot better if Garbo didn't break his leg. He's the best Raptor that you've never heard of if you don't follow them. West Dallas in 5 Phoenix in 5 San Antonio in 5 Houston in 7 (L)East Detroit in 4 Cleveland in 4 Toronto in 7 Miami in 6

    TUF V: The Thread

There's also need to be an episode where Nick, Nate and Manny beat up Kit Cope and the Wild World of Spike people, just because. (Edit: Crap, I'm talking like Manny now. I need to stop watching the USC)
