She could've put a bit more effort into the song. Or as an alternative, just not sang and wiggled her ass for 5 minutes. I didn't mind those parts.

Berube owns a lobster restaurant. I love that he got into fighting in order to promote it. Because it's such a logical progression, you know?

I think older Canadians already knew that about Alanis. If you can find videos from her "pop princess" phase (late 80s) you'd probably get the best example. You can see snippets of it in her .
-
I'd rather watch her wiggle her ass than look at her face, to be honest...
-
And Jennifer Lopez is the mentor. I can see her advice now - "don't worry, the producers will make it sound good."

Well, isn't he basically the Dana White of Quebec MMA?

So I guess we should look at the lyrics: So basically, it's talking about a girl who will take as much advantage of you as she can. Or perhaps a story of how Stacy Ferguson is milking her fame for all it's worth. By the way, isn't it odd (dare I say, ironic?) that a former member of an 80's kid's show (Alanis on YCDTOTV) is parodying a former member of another 80's kid's show (Fergie, Kids Incorporated)?

Yeah, Spiff was saying something about Verizon, but it I don't think it was recent, and we get a lot of simulcasting up here in Canada so I get maybe a third of the US cell ads you guys do. I do remember hearing it something like 5 times an hour when I went down to Houston though.

It was Michael Scott's ringtone on The Office. Might still be, actually. I don't think I've seen Alanis dance like that since she was in a video with Joey Tribbiani. Great parody/satire there.

Y'know, Hitch's comments doesn't excuse the fact that he takes fucking forever to put out pencils for one "monthly" (or bi-monthly, whichever). He really owes Millar for essentially standing by him when Marvel could've gotten someone else to do the job right and on time. Anyways, just read Avengers: The Initiative. It's not bad, and I think it's got potential to be similar to how the current New X-Men is/was structured, with a mix of new and old characters in the mix. Although I have to say, the Gauntlet character is rather absurd.

I do have to admit, Phil's my second choice, if only because I'm sick of his small, spherical head (but also because he's really bland). Chris I can live with, because I'm always curious about what else he can rip off from JT.

Well, I didn't want Matt to make Steph feel bad. I'm sure that picture doesn't get taken if Steph says "sorry you got your ass kicked by GSP"...
-
Phil looks like a cross between Bill Corgan and Tait Fletcher (from Ultimate Fighter 3). I think they were saying on idolforums that all the top 12 (except Covais but including Ayla Brown... who I think was the b-ball player) got some sort of record deal. I think Haley's gone. Which is ok, because that gives her time to fix the saggy boobs before the tour.

That would be Matt Hughes, former UFC Welterweight Champion...

The Amazing Race: All-Star Edition

The thing is, if it wasn't that, we'd probably complain about the bottlenecking at the airport. Loved how the producers/editors went to town on the sausage comments. Juvenile as hell... and I loved it. Mirna obviously has no clue how annoying she can get. At one point, I was expecting Charla to bash her with something after basically asking "What good ARE you?" -
That's basically the "Daughtry Zone", isn't it? As for Fantasia, as Lushus notes, she was never going to sell well in pop music, but was still probably the right choice for winner (Hudson was still too raw back then). That whole third season was a mulligan as far as creating a pop singer was concerned. The singers that could've been pop stars simply weren't all that good. Imagine Pen Guy as American Idol. Yikes.

And how has Matt Millen not signed him to come back? -
Standards is probably a half step out of her comfort zone. I don't know that Tony Bennett sang a Billie Holiday song, but if he did, you know she's all over it. His "Bathwater" reminded me of Cartman singing "Oh Holy Night". There was mumbling there. But I'm in agreement. It seems that there's been someone who's gone further than they were supposed to. But in the last few seasons someone has gone further, and has quite obviously blew. Savol, Ace (probably in more ways than one) and now Sanjaya (also probably in more ways than one).
-
With Alternative, she's basically stuck with Sarah McLachlan. She'd do it good, but it's probably not ideal.

How can it fail when you've got a superstar like Johnnie Morton fighting? Whatdoyoumean, he wasn't even the best WR on... wherever he played? -
Yeah, and House getting even better ratings is somehow a bad thing? House isn't going to get higher ratings. It's already a top five program. It was to keep people from turning to ABC at 9:00. Yeah, you keep saying that. We know that it was a DWTS counter-program thing. My amended question - If more people end up watching House because of the overrun, is this a bad thing?
-
I had: 1. Phil Melinda Gina 3. Chris R. 4. Lakisha Haley* 6. Blake 7. Jordin 8. Chris S.* 9. Sanjaya* Jordin was pretty shite tonight. Energetic movement without much energy, if that makes any sense. Chris or Haley get the boot. Sanjaya again channels his inner Bauer and escapes. Yeah, and House getting even better ratings is somehow a bad thing?
