Since I rarely venture into the wrestling folders anymore, I only know the basics of what went down in there. I really don't need - or care - to know more than what I've learned already. And since Rudo's not here anymore (unless he's lurking), I'll just blame him. It's easier that way.

You pretty much covered both sides of the argument for me there. There's a place for it in pop culture for certain, and there's no denying that it has many moments, but as naiwf said, it doesn't age well because of how things are different now than they were back then.

I blame Rudo as well...

It's already off of mine. Once again, ABC's done what seems to be impossible and made three hit shows unwatchable. I can't wait to see how they fuck up Dancing with the Stars. Well, not really, since I don't watch the show, but you get the idea...

Spoilers!! First it was Doctor Who, then it was Sulu. The next pop culture guest star on Heroes is linked to here.

Doctor Invisible Limey is great. With respect to the Haitian, his power blocking would affect Peter up until the point where Peter realizes that he's got power blocking abilities. And that could be forever, since it's a subtle ability.

3 hours, which isn't entirely bad. I figured that they might go to Sea World in San Antonio, which is 5.

He also had a sweet mullet back in the day...

Whedon pulls out of Wonder Woman project

Not a serious movie... ya think? -
Why the hell would he reach out for her and yell her name if he was only interested in saving himself? You could see in his face that he was distressed and had no idea what had just happened. Hey, when I got into an accident a few years back I was distressed and had no idea what the hell had just happened too. It's called shock. Now I don't know if his powers activated right then or not, but I think the thing is this - Nathan is a guy who would definitely look out for himself first, and everyone else second. Anyways, we learned a few other things: - Peter's powers are more like Mimic than Synch. - Claire has a crush on her uncle. - Ando gets no love. - Niki/Jessica is still fucking annoying. - I didn't miss Parkman or Mohinder at all. And one question - Where the fuck did Claire and Zach allegedly go see the manatee?

Whedon pulls out of Wonder Woman project

That's true, because it generally means one of two things - the writer's vision didn't jibe with the directors or the script sucked. Which I suppose says more about his ability to play ball with others than about his writing skills. Yeah, but most Hollywood films are usually made by committees of writers and producers who completely change scripts for reasons that are more commerical than artistic. Definitely true. I should've added producers. -
Through empircal study, I'd say that there's a lot of Eastern European women in the strip clubs up here, so they could have traveled down for "work". As for the guys... well I know that Toronto has a thriving Croatian community... So what was dumber - Scott Smith's crane pose or Sean Salmon actually TRYING a crane/pump kick?

Given that it's a mock "reality" show, then yes, everything is "supposed to happen". But since it's in reality scripted (although occasionally improvised), I suppose that they did, indeed, mean to write that. But that doesn't mean that the episode was necessarily good. Sure, it had it's moments, but so did The Single Guy. I agree with the Michael/Jan sentiment - it was a really exagerrated overreaction, even by Michael Scott standards. Todd Packer showed up, and all they did was have him mock Jim? It just wasn't worth the buildup the episode got.

Ross/Rachel, Act II, as it were.

Here's a story about Wettig's deal between Prison Break and Brothers & Sisters: http://www.tvguide.com/News-Views/Intervie...E-7FAD93DA8E81} That link is broke, but..I remember the original deal being she could do voice acting and appear in 1 episode..so has that changed? Do a search on her name, and you can find it. What I get from that is that if you're already a recurring/main character on a Fox show, don't expect to do the Fox show AND some other show on another network. But if you're still working on another show on another network, AND you come aboard a Fox show (Peter McNichol), that's OK.

I think the implication is they just had a lot of sex. I don't think that there was sex. If a woman wants to talk to you, there's a good chance that they won't bring it up until you're in bed at night - because you can't get away at that point. My wife's pulled that on me a couple of times. So if Jim says that they talked for three straight nights, I'll believe it.

records are from the UFC website Undercard: Welterweights: Ross "The Gladiator" Pointon (4-8) vs Rich "No Love" Clementi (22-6) Lightweights: Clay "The Carpenter" Guida (21-3) vs Din "DinYero" Thomas (21-7) Middleweights: Ed "Short Fuse" Herman (13-4) vs Chris "The Exorcist" Price (8-1) Welterweights: Chad "The Grinder" Reiner (13-1) vs "The People's Warrior" Josh Burkman (18-3) Middleweights: Dean "The Boogeyman" Lister vs. (9-4) vs Nate "The Great" Marquardt (27-6-1) Live Fights: Lightweights: Hermes Franca (17-5) vs Spencer "King" Fisher (20-2) Heavyweights: "Irish" Jake O'Brien (9-0) vs "The Texas Crazy Horse" Heath Herring (26-11-1) Light-Heavyweights: Rashad Evans (14-0) vs Sean Salmon (9-1) Call me crazy, but is it really a good thing to call yourself a "grinder"? I associate that with two things - sandwiches and a guy who plays low-level cash games (poker, blackjack etc) to earn a living. And all this to help promote season 2 of "Pros vs Joes" (featuring Randy Couture)? Well, at least I'm not missing a new ep of The Office for this...

Hey, there's part of an Anniversary gift for me. Thank you, JK Rowling and Scholastic.

For me, it was a combination of things - Homework (I'm 33 and still trying to improve my skill set. WTF was I thinking?), Job Hunting and the discovery of Settlers of Catan online.

But Eden blew her brains out so he couldn't figure out how to use her powers, no?

So I guess I shouldn't be surprised when his issues of Runaways are late, eh?

So what's Nick's excuse gonna be this time?

...and it'll get prempted in about two weeks when Idol does it's "semifinal" knockout rounds. Did they think people wouldn't notice the difference between a sarcastic Brit music producer and a sarcastic American doctor (played by a... say, is Laurie a Brit or an Aussie?)? Anyways, I may have to take a break from studying (since I apparently have to work during work hours) to watch this week...
