1st question: Yes, you probably would 2nd question: I think that it's all about what sport you train for. I would think that training for MMA is more akin to the regimen of a decathlete than, say, a football player. You're building the smaller muscles in addition to the large ones, while a football player would me more apt to concentrate on thighs, chest, shoulders and upper arm - the areas used most in the sport. That being said, I wouldn't call that a hard and fast rule, since most fighters that have a wrestling background are generally huge for their size.

Bump Thoughts on last nights show? I think Roz deserved the immunity for heckling, as she really got into it. Maybe a bit too profane, but hey, that's what would happen in real life. I thought Gabriel was pretty decent as well as the guy who laughs at anything. As for the heckled, I'm not sure why Chris won - maybe it was because the aoudience felt bad for they guy heckled by a guy with cerebral palsy. Or it could've been the "I'm being heckled by Screech" line. I thought Kristen (the one who looks like an anorexic Ellen DeGeneres) did a much better job, but I suppose it didn't matter in the end. The Showdown. Stella was a dead duck, no question about it. April was funny, but I think that her weird facial expressions may have turned the audience off. Of course, that didn't matter since Michele took 83% of the audience vote, but I can't deny that she did the best job out there.

According to his bio he comes from a line of Counts in Poland, hence his nickname "The Count". Aside from that, based on his accent, he wouldn't have been a hooligan in England. Ross, he'd be a hooligan for certain, youknowwotimean?

She is? Speculation on my part. She's supposedly the "best" of the red team, and if they even teams out at four then she'd be the one to go.

By the way: Celebrity Jeopardy episodes

I'm still trying to figure out why Heather was pissed off. The ladies came in, and they rub their reward challenge win in the men's faces, so Garrett talks trash. Heather seems to take his comments as a personal attack on women in general and takes him to task over it. And when Garrett tells her that he will fire back at people (regardless of gender) if they take shots at him or his team she gets even MORE pissed off. With this in mind, Heather's getting moved over to the blue team.

Not real real funny, but "Turd Ferguson" was one of my favourites, simply because we keep using the name in our football pool - either as a team or for Packer Robert Ferguson. But as for Connery quotes: "Ursula Andress and Charo - twice".
-
Yes it did but the "host" for the challenges was Randy Couture as opposed to Liddell's gf. You may want to skip the HW fights, as for the most part they're about as exciting as watching HW boxing...

Well, he's from Maui - maybe he lived in Hana. Fucking pain in the ass to get anywhere else on the island from there. Still, should Kendall not make it into the UFC, he'll make a pretty good living doing MMA shows in Hawaii. But from the pictures we've seen, it looks like Team DAGGER is now a subunit of Team Punishment.

Milligan and Allred's "X-Force" would fit the bill. Not that they were bad, but I could never buy into them being a "real" X-team.

Did this movie actually NEED a remake? Nevertheless, I'd like to be the first in the subforum to say that Goldberg IS Half Past Dead

I guess nobody else saw this but here Jonathan Baker aka Jon the Douche almost finds out that Rogan is, indeed, a fuckbeast: YouTube link

I think that was the "hook" for the series. Take a bunch of characters the TV show is never going to use again, like Shelby, and give them their own stories.
-
Guess that's Kalib's way of saying "I still don't know why the fuck we needed a nutritionist when, you know, a jiu-jistu guy would've been good, but he did what he was there to do, so good on him."

I just got StarChoice, and as a surprise there's a free preview of The Fight Network until June (showcasing their "Intense" package featuring Fight Network, SexTV, Spike and... MuchMusic?). They showed this fight. I don't know what Henderson ate for breakfast that day, but it probably involved a lot of painkillers. Insane.

To be honest, I've only read a couple of the Trek novels, due to their "not in continuity" nature. PAD's New Frontier series was decent though, and I liked the concepts in Diane Duane's "Dark Mirror". ...and that's about it.

After rewatching Hell's Kitchen on Food Network Canada, I realize that the show is much better if they don't bleep Ramsey. That aside, I like how Ramsey is all "so you think that this is a fucking game? Well, tough shit, I'm getting rid of a guy you didn't pick for elimination". I feel sorry for the fishmonger though. It's always shitty to be eliminated for medical reasons.

Please. It's obvious that Margaret Cho is doing a KOREAN mom, while Dat Phan is doing a VIETNAMESE mom. [/sarcasm]

No, he had two things. "I'm Asian" and "I can talk like an Asian". Thank goodness for poker giving us some higher-profile Asians:

Does this mean that the UFC really has no heavyweights, or has Mir fallen that far?
-
Because relatively unknown comedians gave is Dat Phan.

Great Interview With Paul Heyman About ECW
starvenger replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
As long as we're talking about Heyman interviews, a buddy of mine in Dayton did interviews with Cena and Heyman. You can find the interviews here. Hopefully it'll still be up there but it's a ClearChannel station so who knows. BTW, the guy who asks about Kurrgan (yes, that Kurrgan)? Also a friend of mine. And apparently the only fan left of the Acadian. -
Well, let's face it, only George Lucas can make Zod uncool...

Very black or white. How appropriate. I actually like "stereotype" comedy, but it's weird, because the two guys from LCS1 that did that style, Ralphie and Dat, I didn't find funny at all. Guys like Alonzo and Russell Stevens, they make it funny.
-
No, Ralphie had some good stuff. The whole I wish I was black schtick worked and he did it well, but it wasn't all he had. Maybe it worked for him, but it still doesn't make it funny.
