    TUF 3: The Thread

Ed is going to dye his hair before the fight? Well, it's already red...

    Last Comic Standing?

Which is funny, because Nikki Payne is the last person I want to see there. I'd take Dat Phan in the house again over her.

So... Which side are you on?

Saw this one the other day...

A look back at the disaster known as....Deathmate!

Must be why they're still around today. Actually, I think that expelling Rob and Jim Lee selling Wildstorm to DC was the best thing to happen to Image, as it forced the remaining four founders to rethink their overall business model.

    Last Comic Standing?

The host is Anthony Clark, from "Yes Dear" and "Boston Common". Like season two, most of the comics are professionals who are looking for their "big break". Of course, the problem is that since there is a "reality" portion to the competition, producers seem to be taking that into account when choosing the final ten. So far we've got: - the one note comic: Props to Josh Blue for overcoming Cerebral Palsy, but he's gonna have to come up with some new material when it comes to the "live" voting, should he make it that far. - the loud one: Roz is actually pretty funny, but I think she'd benefit from turning down the volume. On the plus side, this probably means Nikki Payne won't make it. - the hot-from-the-neck-down chick: April wasn't all that funny, plus her eyes don't look quite right. - the "normal" ones who will stir up shit: Joey Gay and Chris Porter.

    UFC 61: Bitter Rivals

That moustache was rather gay porn, wasn't it? Personally, I think Tito should juice up and beat the snot out of Shamrock, pissing Shamrock off even further so that we can get one more Shammy ass-whupping down the line.

    UFC 61: Bitter Rivals

Don't forget that article on him being "the World's Most Dangerous Man". Oddly enough, the UFC Unleashed repeat yesterday night showed Royce Gracie choking Ken out in under a minute.

    WW PHILADELPHIA - MARVEL'S X-MEN PANEL

True, but to their credit, Yost and Kyle have done a decent job integrating X-23 into New X-Men. Even if it is by offing most of the kids...

    Insert Brokeback Mountain joke here.

What UFC fighters have the most potential???

I think I've said this before, and I don't actually mean this in a bad way, but Swick should be their curtain-jerking guy whenever they fight. His style is the perfect way to get the crowd and viewing audience into the show. But if he wins the whole thing, will he quit his dream of going to Beijing in 2008? Koscheck has crazy amounts of potential, and his progress so far has been impressive. I think he'll absorb some more losses here and there as part of the growing process, but he'll be wearing some sort of belt in three years like you said.

Diego is going to get fucked

I think Karo will win this, but he could get in trouble (i.e. lose) if he tries to bang with Diego. Diego doesn't have strong KO power, but like Karo he's a free swinger, so a lucky punch could stagger Karo and turn the tide.

    TUF 3: The Thread

Not gonna disagree with you there, but of course he's not a TUF alumnus. He probably would've torn through the heavyweights if he was.

    TUF 3: The Thread

It's pretty much like in a team sport when players tune out their coach. At that point it doesn't matter what he says, they won't listen to him.

    TUF 3: The Thread

It should also be noted that Melvin Guillard from TUF2 cuts a better promo than most of the wrestlers in the 'E'

Worst fight this season though. Hmm, yes, 8 fights, only 2 go the distance. Knockouts, tapouts, and ref stoppages apparently have different meanings in your world.

    Worst X-Men Character?

He's still around (but depowered) in New X-Men. Although at the rate they're offing the kids in that book, perhaps not for long...

Pretty much. Just do a search on eBay for CGC and you'll probably find 52 #3 going for $75 slabbed...

    Worst X-Men Character?

I thought they meant new characters? Cecilia Reyes was black. Maggott could've been, but I don't think it matters much. M is... Moroccan? Penance would be, too, I guess. I do appreciate that Generation X tried to go with ethnic diversity. Speaking of which, Mondo was black in the horrid Generation X telefilm.

    Worst X-Men Character?

He went the Hawk/Sisko route somewhere around X-treme X-Men.

    Worst X-Men Character?

But did you like it when he was rocking the mullet?

    Worst X-Men Character?

Maybe. I remember something about it during his first appearances, although he still shot whatever it was from his hands.

A look back at the disaster known as....Deathmate!

It's pretty much what you'd expect it to be. The Valiant stuff was well done, and the fact that they were all 8-12 page stories meant that things were kept fairly tight and exciting. Deathmate Black was ok, and given that Brendan Choi and Eric Silvestri were mediocre at best writers, that was about all you could hope for. The art, of course, was great. Deathmate Red was yet another example of why people don't like Rob. The story was bad, the art was bad and overall it was a waste of money. Still, you combine a couple of hot companies, foil-stamped covers and tons of Wizard/Hero (I think it was Hero at the time. Could've been Fan) pimpage, and the books shipped in pretty huge numbers. Unfortunately, the retailers ended up eating much of the stock, and you can hold this out as another example of that the speculator boom did to the comic industry.

    Worst X-Men Character?

Bishop has energy absorption/expulsion powers which started out as using the same power that he got hit with, but latter got changed to the more generic "energy battery" power that he has now. He was probably most interesting during the District X series. No, that's Franklin Richards. Although Cable is definitely Omega level though. The whole idea was that his powers are the only thing keeping the techno-organic virus in his body from taking him over, although I think that's no longer true. My guess? It's more satisfying to shoot Deadpool than it is to telekinetically slap him around. Besides which, Cable already knows that breaking his jaw won't stop Deadpool from talking.

    Great joke characters

Best. Comic. Persona. Ever. I still have that comic in my collection. Makes me wanna have a bachelor party of my own... Been there, done that, got really, really pissed. Yet somehow won $150 at blackjack...
