OK, I'm gonna try to eliminate rap songs (and I'm assuming some of these are rap) from the Billboard Hot-er, 50 (since I don't have a billboard account to see the other 50). I'm also thinking that noone will be singing Sean Paul or Fall Out Boy, and that Fox will veto songs about being in love with strippers and beeps. Here's what we end up with: 32 songs left. Not a bad number. If it were just these songs, I'd like to see Kat sing "Walk Away" or "Girl Next Door". Not that "Girl Next Door" is a good song for Idol, but it'd let her bounce around. There's also a "Candlelight mix" (i.e. suitable for lite rock stations) of "Everytime We Touch", so that would probably suit her too. Paris is probably singing Mary J. Blige. The guys will be interesting. Commercial Hoser Rock suits Chris, so he might go with Nickelback, but I could see him singing Rascal Flatts or Tim McGraw as well. Elliott could probably do "Bad Day", "You're Beautiful" or "So Sick". Taylor could do James Blunt as well, but will probably choose something from the bottom 50. You know, I don't think I've even heard the RHCP song on Sirius (since that's all I listen to now). Then again, I haven't heard the Bubba Sparxxxxxxxxxx song either, so thank heaven for small mercies.

Should probably read: Fighters like Rashad Evans are going to hurt the UFC this year with their boring decision victories. There was some hope from me that Rashad would evolve from his LnP offence similar to Josh Koschek, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Then again, most of the HWs from TUF2 were pretty lackluster during the show so they probably couldn't have done any better at the time. I dunno, maybe moving up to HW hurt most of the fighters.

I wouldn't call her "hot". Monica from The Amazing Race is hot. Kat is hot. The Gherkin is... cute. Except when she uses pornstar amounts of makeup. With that being said I did enjoy the clip of her and Kat hugging. Matter of time. We'll have to wait for her fifteen minutes to expire though.

You've GOT to be kidding me. To me, the UFC MW division is probably the best one in MMA right now (which, btw, is my outlandish statement). Given the state of the WW division, that is pretty outlandish. The problem with UFC's MW is that while they've built up some decent fighters, they haven't built them up as believable contenders to Franklin's title. Quarry? No way. Loiseau? Too soon for him and done because of the USA vs Canada gimmick. Evan Tanner's always a possibility it seems and maybe David Terrell returns with a vengeance but after that? Swick and Leben are around because they're good lower mid-carders - curtain jerkers who give you a good fight. Joe Riggs? He's the UFC's version of baseball's utility player - I'd swear he'd fight at 155 if they asked. If they had a division at 140, he's probably try for it. So, yeah. Basically I'm thinking that the MW division is good, but not as good as the WWs.

Paris wasn't the best vocally - as you said, that was Elliott, hands down - but I thought she sold her performance really well. Then again, she usually does, and my main problem is that she's playing a role rather than being herself. It's kinda like Miss Piggy (the Idol contestant, not the Muppet), except that Paris is adapting to the theme and turns it off once she's finished singing. Taylor, on the other hand, looked really uncomfortable and I thought his singing was way off from where it normally is. What's more, I KNOW he's better than that, and I guess I'm judging him harshly based on it. My thing with Elliott is that I don't think he's got the fanbase - or can grab some converts - to win the whole thing. Fourth sounds about right for him - puts him in the same slot as Federov last year. The apparent unwritten rule is that singing Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston automatically gets you compared to them, and I've always found that to be bullshit. I wouldn't cry even if Paris won. Although she won't - if she makes final two I think she'll be the victim of an anti-vote. Kellie though - ugh. I figured by now that people would be tired of her but apparently Kellie's fans are on the same shit Paula's on. The Symphony Sessions was way underrated.
