Yeah, beside the fact that the guy always has good fight and is an excellent fighter. The thing is that most guys who have had consecutive losses like Diaz has probably wouldn't be invited back for a while. But because he's got the heel persona going, he's now a good undercard draw.

Not really flawed. More like they're hedging their bets...

Yep, an early uberleg. After a 7200 mile plane ride. Damn, that's cold.

Don't know, but I'm keeping track regardless. Nice boob shot of Monica. She was only leaning over, but you take what you can get on US network tv

I'm shocked, SHOCKED that the 7am-6pm operating hours didn't bottleneck everybody...

Should Ace be jealous? Bottom three SHOULD be: Covais, Ace and Melissa Bottom three WILL be: Covais, Bucky and Melissa. Ms Juggy 2006 will be going home.

11 Down, and best to worst so far... Taylor Paris Bucky (Yeah, I know. Doing a song that SRV covererd probably helped) Katherine Elliott Mandisa Lisa Kellie Kevin Melissa Ace

I personally think that Bucky made it on the strength of the Kellie contingent going "hey, he's from North Carolina - let's vote for him too!". And seriously, why isn't Bucky the focal point of votefortheworst.com? Anyways, 1. Chris (not the best of the bunch, but the guy I think the judges will choose to push as the one who should win) 2. Katherine (best tits+ass combination in a singing competition since Jamie Foss on Superstar USA) 3. Elliott (going further than he really should) 4. Paris (the act will have worn thin a long time ago, but the judges will protect her for a while) 5. Mandisa (which would be pretty good, seeing as only big guys get over on these types of shows) 6. Taylor (victim of the "yeah, he's safe so I"m not voting for him" non-vote) 7. Kevin (who sadly doesn't have a "point to the sky, thanks <Father, Son or Holy Ghost>" moment to make me hate him more. 8. Ace (gets farther than he should) 9. Kellie (first person to get truly buried by the judges) 10. Lisa (first "shocker") 11. Melissa (winning the Jessica Sierra Award for best boobs gone way too soon) 12. Bucky

I guess the UFC knows heel heat when they hear it, because otherwise, they'd have dropped Diaz like a bad habit. The most intruiging thing to me about Horn vs Tanner is what weight class they'd be fighting in. Other than that... I'm pretty indifferent to them. Oh, and nice to see Karo back.

McMahon has NOTHIN on Sleazy D
starvenger replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I'm assuming it's not much more than "good wrestler with rocks for brains", but yeah, I second that... -
Savage was let go last week. You're thinking of Chicken Little... That's not just a car crash waiting to happen, that's a 20 car pileup... Will was Wonder Years era Fred Savage, Kevin is his little brother when Corey finally trimmed the brillo pad down from an afro on Boy Meet's World. Calling him Chicken Little is insulting to Chicken Little. I read FRED Savage for some reason. No idea why, exactly. We should call him Weasel Wyzell...l

So very true. And Stevie's gonna be performing on Wednesday as well, which will just underline the suckfest that will ensue. ...Who needs Idol haters, when we can do that ourselves? Pretty sure SOMEONE will sing the song. I wonder what the odds that someone will actually venture off the tried-and-true path will be. Rex Goudie sang (well, shouted) "Pasttime Paradise" on Canadian Idol, I could see Chris doing it. Paris is probably singing "Sir Duke" or "Higher Ground".

Hayes is a Scientologist? Damn.

Ultimate Fight Night IV lineup so far
starvenger replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Mostly the "second tier" of UFC fighters. I see it as similar to "Tuesday Night Fights" and the likes - build up exposure against tomato cans so that you buy them as credible opponents when they face the top level guys. Obviously it's a bit more complicated (i.e. political and monetary considerations) than that, but in essence that's what they're doing. -

Agreed, but aren't the WWs a hot commodity in Japan right now? If so, then it makes sense to give GSP and Penn $50K to fight, although as champ you'd think that Ace would get a bit more than $16K guaranteed. -
Probably about right. But that's generally how it goes for small movies like Dynamite and Crash.
-
Yeah, the 5'7" guy who eventually won the day had no chance whatsoever against Bill. It was like watching MXC when the woman goes up against a sumo wrestler.

Gracie vs. Shamrock ongoing updates
starvenger replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Any (blood) relation to Frank Shamrock? -
It was like they let Owen and Vince be Owen and Vince for most of the movie, and then went "okay, we're gonna be somewhat serious now for the last part of the movie". Rachel MacAdams looks better as a brunette, btw. Movie was gold. Something for everyone. Unless you get offended easily. Which if you are, why are you watching the movie?

Trust me, Houston radio is much worse than what you got in Buffalo...
-
You're in Buffalo, Leena? I'm sorry... especially for our country springing Nicholas Picolas on you. ...in all seriousness, get sattellite radio.

I don't think Hughes has a problem with a long night if he can control the match. That would make sense because Hughes is a wrestler at heart and I'd guess that no matter how many MMA fights a wrester is in, they'd still instintively hate being on their back. I'd like to think that both Hughes and GSP have learned from the last fight, and to be honest I really don't care who wins, because it'll be a great fight no matter how you slice it.

I can think of one. And she NEEDS to play the numbers game for now...

The only reason that I think keeping Shane would be a good idea is he'd be perfect to take to the F2. EVERYONE hates him, and no one would vote to give him the money. Other than that, though, I can't think of a single reason to keep him around ... why do you think it'd be a mistake? It's still a numbers game. Get rid of Shane and it's now a 5-4 advantage, meaning that it takes only one person to jump to La Mina to turn the tables on Casaya. Wait until you've got a 6-3 advantage, then dump the nutter.
