You know, things would've been much better for Masters back when we were all marks and he could do a shitload of jobber squashes. Nowadays the wrestlers are expected to come right in and make a main event-type impact, and they're just not ready to be That Guy. That being said, Masters IS improving, but I don't think that he'll ever be doing enough to become an IWC favourite. We're a stubborn bunch.

Yep. Which I think could actually hurt the show, if they have to stretch it out more.

I thought it was Tom. Anyways, that fight was a cure for insomnia, but at least we get something good out of it - Hughes getting pissed off. Then again, when does he NOT get pissed off?

Without knowing for certain, it could be

If you liked it, then you liked it, and that's cool. But it's still hard to correlate the words "awsome fucking movie" with "Nicolas Cage"...

Apparently there was a bit of a bidding war to acquire his (?) services. Nice to see him finding work though.

The Greatest Cancelled TV Shows of this decade
starvenger replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Television & Film
Same here. In fact, the only Whedon stuff I've liked is his Astonishing X-Men run. That being said, a lot of people seemed to get into Firefly, so all power to 'em. My only laments (so far): Titus Dark Angel Karen Sisco Keen Eddie Playmakers -
I did mention that before earlier in the thread. I'd agree in that it'd seem to work better as a mini, but I'm not one of the power-that-be, so what do I know? Anyways, Carla Gugino is hot (but was better as Karen Sisco), the cast is good, we're waiting for things to devolve into full Braga mode, oh and the show seems to be a cross between X-Files and The 4400. I don't have high hopes for this one.

It's gonna be a helluva inductee class - and Francis might not even make the cut (I think there's a max of 4 per year). Messier, Stevens, MacInnis, Francis, possibly Larionov... insane.

I think that the thing that we overlook with TAR3 is Zack's outstanding effort. We don't give the guy enough credit for dragging Nicknameforthattimeofthemonth around the world - and winning. We just remember that his partner was such a whiny bitch that she makes just about anyone else tolerable. As for the adult teams on TAR: Jumping the Shark... I'm thinking that there's no excuse for the Alpha Male team and the brothers/sister team to finish outside of the Top 3. What kind of ridicule would you get if you were Philiminated before a 9-year old?

Definitely off the charts. And I always found it funny that Lori would always complain about her implants for some reason...

Yeah, we'll have to put up a thread for "The Amazing Race: How to ruin an Emmy winning show" at some point, I guess. On the plus side, predicting who wins may be a bit easier. I mean, do you really expect a team with two preteens to go far?

well, here, anyway, it's on Fox Kids or WB Kids, can't remember which, on Sunday mornings...as far as the comics, Marvel does not make them anymore, I think their last issue was back in like 93...however, Dreamwave, though not in business anymore, had some come out about two years ago that were pretty decent and you should be able to find at any comic store... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dreamwave did a Transformers vs G.I. Joe comic by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, but Devil's Due actually holds the license to publish G.I. Joe. It hasn't been particularly good, and I think they've "rebooted" their G.I. Joe universe a couple of times already. However, there is an "old school" mini from Marvel Joe writer Larry Hama - G.I. Joe Frontline (#1-4). I haven't read it though - after seeing the hack jobs Josh Blaylock and co have been doing with Joe, Voltron, and even Joe vs TF, I've avoided anything with a Devil's Due logo.

I thought it was just as a CyberGirl. Not that it particularly matters.

I understand that Roadblack being renamed Heavy Duty was due to some toy licensing issues. Lushus, did you ever read the Marvel Comics version of GIJoe?

It was elbows on Scott Morris, and rolling guillotines aside, calling a Ninjutsu stylist a "grappler" makes me cry. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My bad. I thought it was a judo guy. It's been a while since I've seen the early UFCs...

I figure it'll be the same as always - the Leafs beat Ottawa and then are too banged up to make it any further. Mind you, the Leafs could die from old age too, but hey, they got Tie Domi back, so fellow Leaf fans, rejoice!! [/sarcasm]

Bonnar line of the week: Joe, wear those leopard skin undies you wore at weigh-ins. It’s a smart move to use the Lodune Sincaid strategy to gain fans in the gay community. Griffen line of the week: The green team then took a chance and put their best striker up against the blue team’s best grappler. Wait, did any of them not see the first five UFC's? Tough call with Forrest this week, actually. Although to be fair, I think Patrick Smith kneed the eyeball out of a grappler in UFC 2 or 3...

You'd think so, but I'm not exactly looking for thorough logic from this show...

Hey, did anyone notice that Kenny and Eli have been removed from the credits?

I'm sure people bit on the swerve, but for once I didn't believe it. Even more amazing, I remembered stuff from chemistry... Anyways, that was an... interesting way of getting rid of Haywire, who I'm sure will turn up in another episode. I was looking forward to Michael shanking someone, but apparently he believes he's Batman or something, and won't kill...

I thought Trigg was supposed to be the heel in the WW division. Nice work by Jorge to hedge his bets with Joe and Marcus. Speaking of Marcus, was his attitude typical of strikers with no ground game? Well, I suppose Jason will join Team Ace next week...

In his latest column, Scott Tipton begins chronicling the life and times of Supergirl, and once again, Superman's a bit of a dick about it. And because you know you want to surf to it again, here's the (apparently new and improved) Superdickery.com. I'm really not sure what's worse, forcingJimmy to live in a slum or continually telling your only living relative "no, your existence must be kept secret, so keep on living in that orphanage".

I'd agree with that, but if he can squeeze out some sort of "friends with benefits" arrangement, well, I'd go for it.
