That was Reichen and Chip's season, right? I don't remember a sibling team from then. The only sibling teams I remember going far were the Teeth from season 2 and the Wonder Twins and O Brothers from season 3. I thought the Wonder Twins were season 4 for some reason. Whatever, you got my point.

Well, you can't be a Dallas Cowgirl by being ugly, right? Team Spartan looks like they could do pretty well, but has there been a really successful sibling team since season 4 (bearing in mind that Family Edition never happened)? Curious to see how well Team Mamma's Boy does. Dallas will no doubt hold up his end of the deal, but Toni could conceivably gas out pretty quick. Also of interest - whether Ken/Tina will deteriorate before Terrence/Sarah. Also, we need to set an over/under for the number of times Ken says "I cheated on Tina". And is it just me, but could the Geeks pass as Coy and Vance versions of Jamie and Adam from Mythbusters? I think it's just me.

To the casting agent that decided to sign up more chicks with boobs, I thank you.

Here's the problem though - they didn't kill him off, meaning that he's needed for something down the line. Yet he's given so little screen time that it's hard for people to care about exactly what that is, since we never see him. Speaking of never seeing him, is anyone missing Micah and Monica? They've got some cool powers, but I can't say that I'm all that upset that they only showed up in the "Previously" segment. And then we'll get pissed off because all of a sudden she'll be able to do martial arts moves, like in Power Rangers.

I don't see them being a bad thing at all. Just not necessarily good. Bad is the 2 minutes of screen time Parkman gets each week. I mean, at least with Maya they're dressing her in tight clothing to compensate for her lack of personality, but that ain't gonna help Parkman.

Same thing happened with Lost, and it took until season 4 for people to jump back on. The thing is, I think it probably costs less to keep the show and let it right itself rather than cancel it and have a new show created from scratch - especially given NBC's new policy on ordering shows without screening a pilot first - but if this season starts meandering as Lost did in Season 3 I'd expect Heroes to get the axe. But based on the first two episodes I think things should be fine now.

Hey, at least it's Parkman this time, so we know that it will lead to nothing until they need his mind reading as some sort of deus ex. Don't forget they used the time-honoured comic cliche of "hey, I'll inject myself with this untested stuff. What's the worst that could happen?"

Kahran had the misfortune of facing me on a week where I actually picked quite well. I don't think I'll be hitting these highs again this year.

6 in a row. I think this category was created just so Bruckheimer could collect Emmys.

Ultimate Fight Night 15: Diaz vs Neer

OK, who should be more ashamed of their ground game - Houston Alexander or Hard Hitting Drew McFedries? -
Back and forth matchup, but I think I squeaked by thanks to the Steelers grinding out the win. Pity I couldn't have done that last year in the playoffs against Hawk.

It was the first week of the season. Crazy shit happens, so scoring 18 points? Entirely possible.

(3.5) Detroit at Atlanta (1.5) Cincinnati at Baltimore (1.5) Seattle at Buffalo (3.5) N.Y. Philly pick for Thursday: Washington at N.Y. Giants (3.5) No faith that the Giants will make the playoffs this year, but beating Washington? Yeah, I'll give the points.

The thing is, that's what people remember. And to be honest, the first few episodes of the original were about as bad as these two episodes of 90210. Overall, I'd say this was (quality-wise) squarely in between the excellence of Degrassi TNG and the putrid Saved by the Bell: TNC. There was a shitload of exposition in the pilot, and the second episode was very by-the-numbers, but as mentioned before, Jessica Walter was brilliant, the use of existing continuity was perfectly acceptable, and it's probably good enough to attract the kids who usually lap this stuff up and good enough for a CW show.

Randy Couture signs new 3 fight contract with UFC
starvenger replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
In essence it's a tourney of sorts. Winner of Mir-Nog and Randy-Brock face off for the "undisputed" title. And then I suppose that's when we find out that Fedor fights the winner or something. -
Yeah, but Sam Adams is like Sleemans in that way - you still think of them as being a "little guy" compared to the really big breweries. Actually, since Sleemans is owned by Sapporo, I guess I should say Moosehead. Although I think that Molson is still technically Canadian-owned. I don't remember exactly how that merger worked.

While I can't disagree with your choice here (Chimay is damn fine), I can't say I've ever had it as a draft beer - apparently this just arrived in the US last year(!). As for the microbrews, I don't think we have any hard and fast rules here, but let's think of this as more of a recommendation thread for brands available in more places than, say, one pub. So I say, if you want to pimp a local/regional favourite, go for it - but make sure we know where we can get it.

It's true, Blue and Canadian taste better on tap, but that's not really saying much, is it? I developed a taste for this one when I was living in Houston:

I hope that doesn't affect their original restaurants. The wife and I ate at the Pizzeria Uno when we went to Chicago, and it was really as good (and filling) as advertised.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Considering that there's no Welterweights for Jake to fight in EliteXC, this is probably what he's gonna have to do to stay active... -

I'm sure he can drown his sorrows at the Million Dollar or something. As for Tito, he's buddy-buddy with Donald Trump, the king of overestimating self-importance. I'm sure he learned a thing or two about stretching the truth. -
Who in MMA do you hate, and why?

See, I generally don't have an issue with contracting your name to create a nickname but the fact is that KenFlo just sounds really, really dumb. -

Mike, he subbed two guys in fairly short order before losing to Emerson. Who I actively dislike for no other reason that he's Rob Emerson. I hate Tim Sylvia, but I think that most of us here do. Even Matt Hughes doesn't like the guy. Another guy I don't like is Hard Hitting Drew McFedries. Hard Hitting Drew McFedries has no ground game and for some reason everyone insists on telling Hard Hitting Drew McFedries is hard hitting. I'm sure Hard Hitting Drew McFedries is a dream fighter for the Liddell fans, but my favourite Hard Hitting Drew McFedries moment was when Hard Hitting Drew McFedries was put to sleep by Martin Kampmann. I would guess you hate him because his nickname is KenFlo.
