Granted, but why bring him in with all this hype and treat him as if he's gonna be THEE big time player for TNA if your plan is to use him sparingly (assuming this rumor is true). That's just gonna leave a lot of people disappointed.

95 is underrated. They had some really good stuff from SummerSlam on.

Jay and Cam were warring back before Roc signed him, weren't they? I remember hearing something about Jay being upset with Dame for signing him without letting him know.

I could probably list the whole period from about Survivor Series 95 to Wrestlemania XV as my favorite era, but if I had to narrow it down it'd be a toss up between the Spring/Summer of 97 (with Austin and USA/Canada going on) and the Summer/Fall of 98 (Highway to Hell, DX/Nation, SABLE AND JACKIE (seriously), and the whole build towards Rock's first title win). As people have said, this was just a fun time to be a fan.

Taker/Bret/Diesel would've made sense in early 96. Also, Warrior/Savage/Flair for the World Title and Shawn/Bulldog/Bret over the I-C in 92.

WCW, but it's really not a fair comparison since they had so much more to work with than TNA currently does. This'll be a more interesting question if/when TNA really get themselves established, but right now they're not even in WCW's league.

Without looking at the pics, I'm assuming it's So Cal Val. They had a bunch of pics with those two together in other galleries. Just caught Joe and Daniels...I agree with Downhome about having AJ throw in the towel, but other than that the match was great. Joe was just brutal at the end. I loved it.

You should all be banned for getting this far into this thread with no mention of Whiskers. That said, 7 Word Bandit is pretty creative.

Didn't Carl Winslow get killed a while back, or am I mistaken? Anyway, great show. I'm feeling lazy so I won't go into detail, but this was a good read all around. I especially enjoyed all the promos tonight, as just about everybody seemed to bring some heat this time around.

Personally, I thought HHH/HBK from Summerslam 02 told a nice little story, even if it did require you to suspend some disbelief.

Cool. I always thought this board could use a potty. On topic...I'm a Michaels fan, but it's close. I mean, Shawn's good and all, but Mark's got the technical ability, a real grasp on psychology and a hunger that just can't be matched. If I had to choose I think I'd give Mark the edge.

As much as I hated 02 overall, I loved that year's Summerslam. In fact, I think that was probably my all-time favorite Summerslam. Other than that, Mania XIX was pretty good and ONS had me marking like a madman so that gets a mention. I'd list X7, but the fact that I didn't see it live took away a lot of the show's luster for me.

Rey's not the guy I'd build a promotion around, but I think he should get a run (even if it's a short one a la Foley in 99) since it's one of the few legit feel-good moments they have left. If I was booking it I wouldn't do it at Mania (too predictable and it would take away from the moment, IMO) but I think they'd be stupid not to pull the trigger on Rey sometime this year.

I think last night's Impact may have been my favorite thus far. Good in ring action with the six man tag (good to see Sonjay again) and a good albeit predictable main event. The running storyline with AJ and Shannon Moore seemed a little silly at first but it actually got a laugh outta me, particulalry when Shannon shows up during the Jackie segment...and I dug the way they wove it into Joe's match. And I think they did a pretty good job of selling the PPV too with the video packages and everything, since this is the first time they've actually managed to get me interested in the undercard matches not involving Joe, Daniels or AJ.

Agreed. That's the best she's ever looked to me.
