Spike's bro plays World of Warcraft?

Oh yeah, that's real. I don't know why anyone would think it's fake, unless they mean unintentional. They prolly just dubbed the voices over the video after they were done. -Z

    SWF Lockdown Card 5-4-05

Tch. Such blase and obvious replies, and clearly wrong, too. Accusing Tom of indulging latent homosexual tendancies with the Sears catalogue, despite the fact he clearly said "ladies" in the post above Johnny's. You guys are terrible. He was clearly looking at the children's section. -Z

    PROMO: Celebrations

No offense to Toxxic or anything, but I absolutely would've preferred if even half of those guys had stuck around instead of suddenly quitting like they did. I will also admit that I had intended to test Toxxic against a couple of main eventers (Grap, Williams, Flesher and Duran were the ones I figured) before everyone started quitting like they did. He was on such an insane hot streak and I definitely wanted to figure out how good he really was. -Z

    PROMO: Celebrations

Oh, and just to touch on Toxxic's point, I had often thought about jobbing people based on whether or not their victory would be better for the fed as a whole. By that I mean, if someone is holding a title and in the midst of a storyline, they tend to be a person that people rally around; people deeply involved in angles tend to energize the fed. However, doing that severely compromises the competitveness of the SWF. When you get right down to it, if you're going to mark based on the value of storylines over the quality of matches, we might as well just be an RP fed. It renders the effort people put into 6000 word main events and 10,000 word PPV main events almost totally irrelevant. Admittedly, when I was in charge I wouldn't have minded at all a shift where increased importance was put on angles and matches on the whole got smaller and easier to handle, but too much of that dillutes what the fed has always been about. Besides, some markers have a hard enough time making decisions and justifying their responses to writers, and I can't imagine them, or the people they're marking, responding well to being told things like, "Yeah, your match was probably better, but you having a title reign right now isn't in the SWF's best interest right now." -Z

    PROMO: Celebrations

That had a lot more to do with it, yeah. It ALSO didn't help that 6 straight world champions decided they would retire after losing the belt instead of staying in the main event, which drove everything into complete chaos. I mean, if you lose a match you lose a match, it's not a big deal and no matter WHAT, you can always find a way to make an angle work in spite of that. (trust me, I worked with Kibagami extensively; no matter how crucial a win is to a storyline, you can still make it work even if you lose.) If you QUIT, though, that means everyone depending on your involvement and often the entire fucking TITLE SCENE is boned. Not that I'm still bitter over this or anything. -Z

    Battleground Comments

The announcer's table is usually regarded as being at ringside. As always, it's one of those things that CC has never thought about delegating, like set designs, regular show themes, etc. Continuity with that kind of thing doesn't strike me as an especially big deal. -Z

    SWF Government Jobs

Goddamn it. I demand a position of considerable power so that my differing ideoligies can threaten to rip apart the Flesher administration. Wait, I've got it. UN Ambassador! -Z
  9. Don't ask me why, but I decided I'd be a pal and dig up Ejiro vs Janus. So, let's take a trip back to SJL Crimson, December 12th, 2002! Ejiro vs Janus, 2/3 Falls Match for the European Title -Z
  10. I forget, was that one of the things I legitimately suggested you try doing (since you had to job the belt and felt very bland about it or something), or did you get it from someone else? Regardless, it's still a great match. Hey, also on that same PPV, probably the only good SWF mtach I ever wrote. It was notable for the fact I wrote 97% of it in one day... one evening... after doing Christmas shopping... hours before the PPV was due. It's 9300 words long and I think I broke 115wpm at least twice while typing. Alex Zenon vs Tod deKindes vs Nathaniel Kibagami -Z

    Updated Title Histories

Well, for one, Fallout defended it just about every show. Every show, I'm not even kidding. For two, Fallout is one of the single most uderrated writers in fed history. Muzz is one of the few who remembers this. For three, it's the last 'old school' record that's still standing, unless you count ELM's world title reigns. -Z

    SWF Invasion!

About two hours later, I got into a big flamewar with one of #DMFA's regulars on Janus' Livejournal. Truly, a complete victory. All in all, I'm pretty happy with how we can completely ruin Janus' reputation inside of a couple hours. Who has the strength to stand against the power of the SWF? -Z

Yeah Nigel! I guess it's just as well I didn't see the trade deadline post, considering how things turned out. But shit, for a while it didn't look like Columbus was even going to make the playoffs. A shame he didn't more than two decisions, but hey, TWO RINGS! IN YOUR FACE, ZENON! -Z

    THE SWF.COM V.2.0

Well, I have been proven wrong. Hooray Johnny! Let's just hope I'm not proven wrong a second time with the site, as I rather loudly made the point that if it ever became operational, it would all but save the fed. EDIT: Topic pinned on my authority. This should be in everyone's face as much as possible. -Z

  21. I would also like to note that Janus naming his wrestler "Janus" also springs from the fact that every single motherfucking character he's ever created, ever, has also been named Janus. Ever. -Z
  22. I'm bored. Why did you choose that name for your character? Huhn, good question. I don't even remember where I got Z from, originally. It was probably one of those things that just sounded vaguely cool and seemed to fit the character. Alex Zenon was simply the first 'real' name that came to mind. Why do they look the way they do? Z was vaguely modled after myself and just sort of this dorky, happy image in my mind, which included a strange and unreasonable inclusion of camoflage jackets and smiley faced t-shirts. The blue hair just seemed to fit. Zenon's look, on the other hand, was little more than a shameless rip-off of Kyo Kusanagi. I mean, if Thoth can get away with Iori Yagami, why can't I? Why is their character the way it is, and is this different from how you originally envisaged them? In Z's case, his character was pretty much exactly what it was supposed to be in the beginning. He was a rather blatant Mikey Whipwreck ripoff, except that it was still fresh, interesting and entertaining to everyone because there's never BEEN any Mikey Whipwreck ripoffs before. That was pretty much exactly why I went for it right from the concept stages. Of course, by my second motherfucking match I was already trying to show a 'serious' side to the character, so I think that shows exactly how well I understood what I really wanted to do. Zenon's evolution was, ironically, something I always wanted to avoid. I never wanted to write a character that was all dark and moody and angsty, just like everybody else. But, unfortunately, I was very stupid when I was active. However, everything about Zenon's turn and character evolution worked out just as I had planned -- in many respects, it was even better, because people bought my return promos hook, line and sinker -- with the exception of the one thing that I had planned to cement his fall from grace. It was a rather unspeakably brilliant and diabolical twist in the Kibagami/Zenon storyline that I'm still proud of coming up with, even if I never had the opportunity to pull it off. If there was one thing you would want your character remembered for, what would it be? Honestly, I'm so disappointed and upset with myself and my general incompetence and lack of foresight while active that I'm glad memories of me as a writer have faded away. The only thing I'll be remember for in the fed is the only thing I'd ever want to be remembered for in the fed: My time as a booker. -Z

    The SWF's future

Manson got it. Topsites. We do a banner exchange with as many topsites as we can find. This will almost certainly secure a new a new influx of talent -- for the most part, it's probably going to be pretty crappy talent, but there's bound to be some diamonds in the rough somewhere. The site basically just opens up more legitimate advertising possibilities. -Z

    The SWF's future

Although not directly related to the idea that Maddix proposed, I'm still confident that about 90% of our problems regarding the roster and the apathy from TSM would be solved if we could actually get a fucking website established, and mean it. It's unfortunate that none of the people who have designed or updated websites in the past share this belief. -Z
