If you get your ass kicked the week before your next scheducled PPV match, you will most likely be the winner.

Well, it took forever, but it finally happened: The Outsiders Vs. The New Age Outlaws That was terrible! Who actually thought that item was a good idea? Hogan or McMahon?
-
Sad to hear Tazz go, but JBL / JR would make a great commentating team. I hope it happens.

It looks like the rumors were true.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread
Beto Chavez replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
The problem with Wrestlemania this year is I don't give a shit about the matches aside from Michaels / Undertaker and Hardy / Hardy. I'd be fine with Orton / HHH and Edge / Cena if they hadn't wrestled each other 1,000 times already. Also, the fact that neither Hogan or Austin couldn't be on the card is definitely disappointing. I do believe HHH / RKO is main eventing unless Orton is winning and they pussy out of it being the last match and have Cena win the Triple Threat match in the end to send the crowd home happy. -
Yeah. The original plan for Edge when he came back in 2004 was to eventually go head-to-head with Triple H in a feud that, I presume, HHH would have come out on top in. I say that mainly because I never heard of any plans for Edge to actually beat HHH, just feud with him. Sting never once came close to going to the WWF while WCW was still around. But he admitted that he was very, very close to going a few times after WCW died. I'm assuming following Vengeance, Edge was to defeat Batista and Flair in matches before finally Triple H for the title. IIRC they actually had plans of Triple H Vs. Edge at Bad Blood 2004. One of the reasons Edge was drafted to RAW was because HHH wanted to work with / (bury him. Yeah, I remember seeing an interview where Sting said he had everyone around him telling him to join WWE (after WCW died) and he had a couple of meetings with Vince but the dealbreaker was watching guys like Booker and DDP getting buried at that time. He said he knew that Vince was lying to him and would have done him the same way. I agree with him. There's certainly no way they would have let him go over Undertaker at Mania. IIRC, Sting was THIS close to working WM 18, but The Rock calling Booker T a nobody on TV killed Sting's interest.

Shiek confirmed it on the Ultimate Hulk Hogan Anthology.

It didn't help that Warrior was an asshole to his co-workers backstage either.

I'm assuming if Warrior didn't leave in 1991 it would've been Team Warrior Vs. Team Roberts at Survivor Series?

What ended the Late 90's Pro Wrestling Boom?
Beto Chavez replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in General Wrestling
I'd definitely say Austin's heel turn. I remember so many people were upset at the time. -
What's the name of the song (and band) that plays on the main menu of the 3rd disc on the Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin DVD set?

Unfair to Flair: Celebrating The Worst of The Nature Boy
Beto Chavez replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
There was that time on Nitro in 2000 I believe when Flair got his head shaved. -
There was also that match on RAW where if The Rock didn't beat Mark Henry, he'd be fired.

Does HGH have the same health hazards (balding, small balls, short life expectancy, etc.) as steroids?
-
True, but to be fair, Michaels (or WWE marketing) using religion to sell his T-shirts is pretty lame.

Verne Gagne suspected in death investigation
Beto Chavez replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
The moral of the story: Don't fuck with Verne Gagne! -
Love or hate the guy, Test was one of the most underutilized talents the WWE had. He was part of some of the biggest angles in WWE history (The HHH/Steph drugged marriage angle, the "can't be fired" angle during the InVasion, The UnAmericans, The Test-ticles... the list goes on) It's sad that his steroid use did him in, as I was for sure he was gonna win the ECW title when he came back briefly in 2007 (He was the last guy to leave ECW before Heyman himself left his own creation behind for Vince to bastardize it) It's sad how his career never recovered after his firing in the WWE. TNA was gonna use him as "The Punisher", but his drug abuse ruined his career there. He then retired last year only for it to last about 6 months. I have to say that it was sad how a man who could have been a World Champ class superstar never got his just due simply because of drug problems, but then again, he did get to bang both Stacy Kiebler and Kelly Kelly, so he did have a Hell of a life. R.I.P. Andrew "Test" Martin, thanks for the great memories during the Attitude Era. I did like his theme song, it sounded badass.

This could very well be THE GREATEST ACTION MOVIE OF ALL-TIME! Too bad Jean Claude had to be an ass about turning down a part for the movie, this could've been his silver screen resurrection even if it was just for one time.

The Upcoming Shows/Rumored Fights Thread
Beto Chavez replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Damn it, I was looking forward to Rampage ending Sugar's streak. -
Koko B. Ware > Pete Rose.

I'm still baffled why they gave Rick Rude his original theme, and not the (better) one that came after it.

Botches that actually improved matches
Beto Chavez replied to Just call me Dan's topic in General Wrestling
Angle / Lesnar - WM XIX. Although it would've been awesome for Brock to have landed on Kurt, the sick looking botch made the match memorable (aka another Wrestlemania Moment!) and it added story to their feud later on in 2003.
