    Would you be able to pass a drug test right now?

    That's sig worthy. I mean, I've never seen IDRM make a post like that before. It's like zacalex took over his account...

    Brock to compete in New Japan

    The companies have done business before though, so things can't be too hostile with the front offices. If Simon Inoki is smart, he'll help spread the Brock love all over Japan.

    Brock to compete in New Japan

    Brock Lesnar vs. Kenta Kobashi = 65,000 + Tokyo Dome sell-out. Let Satoshi Kojima be the guy who hands Brock his first pinfall loss in Japan though. Sure, it might not draw a sell-out Tokyo Dome but Japan, in general, needs a hero of some sort of native "Monster Gaijin" killer like Inoki and Kojima's young enough to wrestle for another 10 + years for this to see a return, barring bad Kojima booking. Matches against Sasaki, Misawa, Tenzan, Kaz Fujita, Kawada, Tenryu, Muto, and even Nagata could be a nice run of opponents for Brock to run over. If Takayama is healthy again, throw him into the pile of dead bodies as well. If I'm not mistaken, Goldberg's also a freelance wrestler... New Japan could put on the mother of all rematches if they can get Goldberg to agree to job to Brock. The company could also make a boatload of cash too. Promote, promote, promote though. Lesnar vs. anyone in Japan needs to be booked and promoted strongly. Fuck, get Hogan to even lay down for Brock one more time in some tag team legends match in Japan. Hogan/Chono vs. Lesnar/Morgan might suck major donkey balls but it could put some extra butts in seats. I'm just trying to think about every way Japan could milk the shit out Brock while giving new life to the stale heavy's scene too.

    The OAO Raw Thread for 09.19.05

    Flair doesn't use his moveset anymore and isn't a good enough brawler to cover up his lack of moveset. Where's the interest in Flair aside from the "whooo!" and the taunts? Letting Flair wrestle against guys at this age, when he looks totally uncredible as a true title threat, is just a bad idea. No one wins if Flair wins (or loses).

    Would you be able to pass a drug test right now?

    I clicked "No" but when I saw the results, I was shocked at how many others clicked the same thing. Of course, the biggest shocker to me here is seeing AoO come out and admit he's drug free. That's, like, not supposed to happen. Congrats on the gf acquisition too AoO.

    Does anyone else

    I like watching the football pros play as opposed to underpaid amateurs. That's it. This is also the reason why I don't care about college b-ball either. I want to see if the boys can hang with the men and become men themselves. I don't care about drama because that can be found in *anything* you enjoy watching. Anyone who complains about the speed of any sport, as a reason for not liking it, is not a real sport's fan. I like baseball and golf and could care less about how long it takes for the event to be over. I'm just thankful they're playing.

    This Week In Baseball

    Barry is going to win the NL West and just to be a dick to white America, he passes Babe Ruth in HR's and then retires next season or joins the White Sox. I hear they could use another burly black DH down in tha Southside... I just don't see Bonds coming back this late into the season and losing the NL West along with missing out on passing Babe Ruth in HR's. The Padres blow and the Dodgers are lame ducks. Winning the NL West could be a cake walk for Bonds and the Giants...if they weren't missing Alou Jr. and Schmidt.

    Where would you guys all rank Andrei in the current MMA heavyweight 5-ranking totem pole? 5 guys, but where does Arvlovski go?

    MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

    The UFC should spend extra cash for Cro Cop vs. Arvlovski to headline one of their next shows. The UFC does not need to be exchanging 205 and below weight talent. The UFC needs heavyweight they can feed to Andrei if they have any hope for a credible (see: interesting) heavyweight division. Don Frye, Mark Coleman, Tank Abbot, Dan Severn, Oleg Taktarov and Randy Couture wasn't a bad stable of heavyweight's for the UFC back in the mid 90's. Now, the heavyweight division is all slim pickings with no real intrigue or competition for Arvlovski to face.

    X-Men 3 Spoilers

    Lame. X-Men vs. the Hellfire Club would have been a nice change of pace from the X-Men vs. the Brotherhood. Now, the movie plans on adding Sentinels, Omega Red and Juggernaut into the movie? Fuck that clusterfuck noise.

    NFL Week Two

    I like Sterling since he isn't another neutered black sports analyst. Tirico and Sharpe need to be made the announce team STAT. Raiders biggest problem, which will hold them back from success: Kerry Collins. I watched the game with family and friends, both Raiders fans and haters alike, where we all came to this conclusion: Collins is fried mentally. He looks lost when he's on the field, he holds onto the ball too long, he over/under throws the ball too often, his accuracy looks shot at times and just, generally, brings the team down. Collins brings the Raiders down ala Kordell Stewart and the Steelers in the late 90's. The Raiders got robbed of a Moss TD and a LaMont Jordan breakaway TD, which was negated because Jake Grove, the center, looked like he was holding a Chief player. As a Raiders fan, this game was tough to watch for several reasons, which I just mentioned above. Next week: Raiders vs. Eagles. Bring'em on...

    NWA Championship News

    Ron Killings over Raven and then Monty Brown over Killings on the first SpikeTV show, with Brown being pushed to the moon, is a way I could have seen TNA making a dent in the wrestling world. Give minority wrestlers a chance since they could step up out from Vince's Samba Simba world. Pray that Shocker becomes a better wrestler over time and then let him bulk up to face Brown in a title match somewhere down the line. Killings, Konnan, Homicide, and Apollo could all feud with Brown at various points while also letting Brown thwomp JJ, Nash, Hall, Raven, Rhino, Abyss, and any other believable heavyweight threats to him. This guy could be the next Goldberg if he stops acting like a goober when in interviews and just kills guys dead in the ring. The matches with Brown shouldn't last too long. The big fish to lure in for a title shot would be Goldberg vs. Brown, especially if Monty gets hot. Nice going though, TNA.

    DVDVR board hacked

    It looks like DEAN~! and the DVDVR crew got hacked into and now everything's gone over there. This post by webmaster Mike Sweester pretty much explains the board's status. The hackers were also apparently Dutch...go figure. My condolences go out to everyone who busted there ass over there to make the board worth reading. Losing all of the posts in the LUCHA~! sub forum is definitely a major bummer.

    Raw rating

    The WWE should have aired the Byte This interview on the air after Matt attacked Edge. That could have set up the feud better...except Matt still gets to talk and help ruin the one great push he'll ever have.

    Marvel = WWE

    The movie was mainly about Banner and his ongoing problems with life. The Hulk is that freak out moment everyone has where they want to destroy everyone in their path. That's what happened to Banner in the movie: when bad things happen, the Hulk pops up. If the Hulk had gone on city wide rampages, destroying cities and even possibly killing people, then why should the audience show any sympathy or interest in the character? He's now a villain and no longer the monster people feel sorry for since he has the maturity of an infant. That's too difficult to overcome and is one of the reasons why I hate and like John Byrne: he had the Hulk destroy an entire airplane in mid air where everyone died *only* for it to later be revealed that the Hulk in question was actually a mutated lackey of Tyrannus, who was mind controlling his Hulk like minions. Marvel put the kibosh on that idea of his though and the Tyrannus lackey was later used as the cop-out. Too bad. Honestly though...how many people do you suppose have died in the wake of the Hulk's rampages? Hulk: Banner is one of the darkest stories I've ever read on this theory about the Hulk wiping out people along with towns and it changed my entire outlook on the character and helped me appreciate Ang Lee's movie that much more since he didn't have the Hulk go around tearing up cities. Banner's dad was also a good foil for the Hulk since his dad had become corrupted by the gamma power he had inside him while his son fought to control the savage rage the Hulk exhibited. The first Hulk movie was all mental but the fight scenes against the Gamma dogs, the military in the underground gamma base and the final encounter with Mr.Banner were all heavily symbolic since power managed to corrupt all those characters while Banner still held onto his humanity at the end. The Hulk sequel can be non-stop fight scenes vs. like the Abomination, the Rhino, the Wendigo, the Absorbing Man and even Modok or the Leader. Just don't let Banner forget about finding a cure. At least he's trying to solve his problem while the aforementioned villains above embrace their wickedness.

    NFL General Hospital

    Both teams are losers here. Favre needs all the help at WR he can get and the Panthers defense is now (potential) easy pickings for teams to run the ball down their throats. Both teams could have another long year ahead of them.

    DVDVR board hacked

    The board got hacked into first and then Mike tried/had to update it. Unfortunately, he couldn't keep all of the old threads alive when he made the changes. Sorry for the mix-up. There were a couple threads (RIP) in the Feedback folder about the hacking situation. It sounded like the hacker(s) had an axe to grind with the board. The admins were all deleted and there was some message at the top of the board (when it was hacked) that said "You got PWNED~!!!!" or something else retarded. I read that there was also an audio loop the hacker(s) inserted onto the board with some cheesey techno music or some such atrocity.

    Marvel = WWE

    1. Incredible Hulk - the best balance of action and stroyline for a Marvel movie. 2. The Punisher - Thomas Jane *is* the Punisher and smokes every other Marvel actor's character. The movie also has a wonderful balance of action and meaningful storyline in it. 3. Blade - this movie still holds up well after 7 years and Snipes's protrayal of Blade is almost as good as Jane's Punisher. 4. Daredevil: Director's Cut - Affleck should have not been DD but this version of the movie should have been released in theatres instead of what did end up getting foisted upon the public. 5. X-Men or X-Men 2 - Marvel actually didn't Justice League this movie like NBC did in 1998 with the aforementioned TV movie. These movies actually give everyone on the team something to do and by the end of the flicks, fans, casual and long-time, know what everyone's powers are and what their motivations are for their actions. If anything, the films lack of heavy concentration on the discrimination of mutants hurts the flicks since that *is* why the X-Men comics have been so popular for so long. Everyone's been held down or discriminated against for something they had no control over and is why the X-Men are still a relevent force in today's comic book scene. Good movies overall. Those are the best movies Marvel has put out with their characters. The Spider-Man movies are too retarded at times (the ending to the 1st film and the train scene in the 2nd after Spidey's fight with Dr.Octopus) and those schisms in the film escapism are just dumb or stupid to ignore and enjoy. It's like winning the SB but being paralyzed on the last play of the game. They're just bittersweet to watch and that's not something fans should have to walk away feeling like. It's mother fucking Spider-Man, not Forrest Gump. Tobey McGuire blows as Peter Parker since Parker was never a sociopath-in-training like McGuire acts in the movies. Parker was and always will be a wise cracking smartass who got turned down by the girls but would move on go about his life. He only acted sullen or really sad when his Aunt May was in trouble but other than that he was a free spirit who could carry conversations but, in the process, he'd make everyone around him feel dumb and then resent him for his idiot-savat genius. Forrest Gump indeed. Peter Parker isn't a social retard, he's just a giant geek with some too-smart-for-his-own good personality, not a social retard. The X-Men movies really don't have a fun or interesting balance between stroyline and action scenes at times. The storyline is heavy in the 1st film but the action sequences are really lacking except for the big fight at the end. The 2nd film is heavy on action sequences but the fact that the army can give the X-Men a tough time doesn't make them all that impressive in my eyes. If they had fought a 30 foot Sentinel instead or even face off against Nimrod then maybe the 2nd film would have come off more powerful and explosive compared to the 1st one. The X-Men movies are better than the Spider-Man movies but the action sequences for Spidey smokes the X-Men movies. The only difference though is that the X-Men movies don't have the massive brain farts (unmasked Spidey?) like the Spider-Man movies do. That offsets anything else good about the movies. The Hulk, the Punisher, and the Blade movies all did a great job of fleshing out the main character, his supporting characters, villains with big plans and diabolical ways of achieving them and throwing out some great action scenes along with some touching ones as well. The supporting cast characters for the Punisher are more interesting than the supporting cast characters in Spider-Man, which, really, is wrong on several levels but the director and writer of the Punisher did *everything* right and it's a shame this film did not get noticed more when it was in theatres.

    Another Tough Enough Winner Released

    Agreed. Puder and Angle were fighting half-assed but then the young buck showed the old man he knows a thing or two about MMA and *almost* managed to upstage the instigator. All he did was catch Angle off guard in a worked match/angle, which would have never happened in an actual MMA fight between the two.

    "YOU KNOW!" Trigg's from my neck of the woods (SoCal) so I've got a love/hate thing going on with him. He talked waaaaaayyy too much crap to Hughes and couldn't back it up when it mattered. I see him getting another run with the UFC in the future if he picks up some impressive W's on good calibre fighters. Angle vs. Trigg could be hilarious though.

    Angle's broken neck says otherwise. One Rear Naked Choke and Angle could be breathing through a ventilator.
