The eyes look angry.

Send them to Maryland then. I heard that some cool people live there.

Make him wear a shirt with your address on it and directions to your house. That might help him.

Find the cover of Farhenheit 9/11 for your avatar and your custom title can read "People's Choice at Cannes!" and then find a picture of Michael Moore doing a double thumb's up for your sig.

I forgot how this even got started now.

I always thought Shibata was a better worker than Nakamura but couldn't hold together a match if it went past 10 minutes. Tanahashi is the superior worker amongst the three. Shibata can get big paydays doing freelancing work for U-Style, NOAH or Akira Maeda's new company that is interested in getting him to work some shows. He'll probably do good for himself post-New Japan.

Kojima is the most marketable guy outside of Kobashi to do something like this with. Kawada is broken down and old and is probably counting down the years before one of his knees explodes. Tenzan has been one of the poorest booked "big time" champs since Kurt Angle's late '00 title reign. The only chance for this to work is to give Kojima his big win over Kawada and to pick them up from Muto, Kea, and Tenryu as well. Then he can work over the NJ guys like Tenzan in their big double titles match and then move onto Nagata, Chono, Sasaski, Tanahashi, Nakamura and possibly Choshu. He needs wins. Big wins. Lots of them. Then, the promoters can get greedy and stupid and try to con NOAH into joining their circus act. Kojima vs. Kobashi in the mother of all title unification matches could be bankable...if booked well.

Yutaka Yoshie has his priorities straight
Sass replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Yoshie is the ECW version of the Blue Meanie at this point. His character and gimmick revolves around his *girth* instead of his wrestling ability. If that's not a deal that screams "FAT USELESS FUCK" then I don't know what does. At least he doesn't try and act like Karl Gotch trained him or something for a gimmick... -
It was after Austin came back from surgery in late '00 and seeing the HHH/Angle/Steph triangle turn into a mess. That was when I officially stopped watching on a regular basis. I just couldn't believe how badly things had managed to get booked after Wrestlemania 16. The shitty triangle was the last straw. King of the Ring '01 was the PPV where I finally lost all confidence in the WWF to book things well. From there out, they did nothing else that I could change my mind over. After Austin managed to beat both Benoit and Jericho in a triangle match was when I knew things were bad. Real bad. The Undisputed title tournament ruined a long child hood dream of seeing the WWF champ facing the WCW champ on PPV. Jericho winning the shitty tournament was completely bittersweet. His feud with the Rock was one of the last well booked feuds in the WWF that I've seen. Too bad his entire title reign had no cushion except to deliver the title to HHH after being made to look like Steph's dog catcher. Chris Jericho vs. RAW consortium owner Ric Flair could have gave the WWE one of it's best feuds (at least from a speaking standpoint). Basically, the "what coulda been..." game got too old for me and I grew tired of getting burned.

As long as Batista is booked well, he'll have staying power. Once he admits to taking steroids, turns against the WWE and joins Vince, or goes off to make movies is when his staying power will diminish. Good booking = results people will pay for.

Only if it's for the belt. Otherwise, this will be like the Chono and Koshinaka feud that didn't wind up improving either guy's rep in the ring. Chono is going to go down as one of the most short sighted and selfish bookers of the last 20 years after his reign ends. Tenzan has been booked so badly that it should be considered criminal. The title match should have had Tenzen vs. Chono. Time is running out for Chono in the ring and he should have just done the job on the *biggest* show New Japan runs during the year. Giving Tenzen his big win on their next 5/04 show or something is stretching things out too far.

Vince pulls the mother of all sucker deals and gets USA to air SD! thinking that it's the old WCW show that beat them for 83 weeks straight in the ratings. Greatest. Carny. Ever. But yep, they're fucked with SD! now. I guess Spike! can interrupt one of their CSI marathons on Thursday to free up space for the show.
-
All HAIL ECDUB~!ECDUB~!!ECDUB! Heyman must've done a backflip. After Vince shot him with a fireball though. SD! should've been the "rebel" brand to show commercials for the ECW DVD while the RAW guys didn't approve since Vince wouldn't agree to showing them after Heyman showed up on SD! with them. Security on SD! could've beat his ass or something and you better believe Heyman would have gigged himself up big for this. It would have been like his big '01 speech where he reamed Vince for like 10 minutes about how he fucked up wrestling with Vince just totally no-selling him hilariously. Damn, this thing could have probably doubled in sales had it been marketed better. These are good numbers so far.

For the most part, New Japan's booking has been crap in some way this year. The Heavyweight title is on the same level as the WWE title was in '99 with it's title changes. Disastarous. However, Tanahashi and Nakamura getting the top spot did manage to provide some major pub coverage for their match and the way they performed in the ring. I haven't seen the match yet but it's my understanding that it was either the best or 2nd best match on the show. Both guys are decent workers and are also two of the better Young Lions to have graduated from the New Japan dojo in recent time. Yeah, it sounds like just another weak 1/4 show though.

King John was really small.

To save FS from getting banned for good and pissing people off, I suspended him from the board myself. He'll be allowed to come back Feb 6th.
-
Teke is the one who suspended you and he's the one that is going to unsuspend you after 2 weeks. That *was* your punishment, right? Oh wait, you were also supposed to write up an apology note for your post but didn't have to because I told Pete you'd serve the 2 weeks without crapping on that deal Looks like I was wrong. Stop posting until the end of next week FS or I'll ban you myself. You agreed with me on 2 weeks suspension from the board without the asinine apology and now you're making *me* look bad. You're not doing yourself any favors here man.

Ahhh, fuck it, I'll pick tha RAIDERS~!

Cena is a below average worker who is not very creative with his spots or innovative with his moveset. In fact, he really doesn't have much of a moveset to speak of except for some crowd spot moves (fist drop shuffle) or a hackneyed version of some other move (DVD) that he uses as his finisher. His lack of in-ring ability shows and it makes for an awkward viewing atmosphere when he is forced to wrestle for more then 5 minutes. The problem(s) really do show up in his matches.

I can dream, can't I?
