This is funnier than when I first saw 'The best of silverchair' at my record store a while ago.
-
I got their Strategies Against Architecture anthology and found it to be merely OK for the 2 disc length, though I still think making music out of sheet metal and drills is really nothing to be criticised. I appear to be listening to sparks, and thus all is right with the world.
-
I must get some Foetus, and Lydia Lunch. The only Foetus thing I've really heard is the song he did with the melvins, but I love his voice.

Oddly, I didn't realise that was meant to be a secret, cos I'm not here all the time. I didn't say anything. -
errr.....Surprise!

We gave him surgery and renamed him 'Peter Andre' in memory of a similar artist who died tragically years ago.

This shit's for real? WWE is lucky the world media doesn't treat them as a serious organistaion.

Without having heard said cover, I must agree.

The one album you own that most others don't.

I do keep meaning to get Fun House. On the Alt. Country theme, Frank Black's solo work in this area is always underrated and at times fantastic, especially on Dog In The Sand and on most of Black Letter Days. And his live shows were always awesome, whether his backing band happened to be the pixies or not. Not that I'm complaining they currently are. -
RVDMARK's viewpoint of music being there to be enjoyed was only posted as an argument towards those disparaging Jet and/or The Vines.
-
Of course it's meant to be enjoyed, but that doesn't mean that if you, by some bizarrely coincidental evolutionary cataclysm, form your own opinion on it, you're not allowed to hate Jet.
-
RVDMARK's viewpoint is that music is there to be enjoyed. Note the full stop. This is awful for reasons that have been posted. How is that complicated?
-
OK, but when did he say that? He merely took to task the tripe RVDMARK vomited forth.
-
The Delgados and Mercury Rev both have a talent for producing soothing music whilst having loads of different shit going on at the same time. It should be chaos by rights, but it's very immediate.
-
If music is meant to be enjoyed, and you don't enjoy it, are you doing something wrong? Should you enjoy every song ever written?
-
I had pictured multiple pimps, but that works too. SaturnDayNightLive Ah, A Dingy Liver Stunt It's like my life up to this point in four words.

The 'Weddoes' - Blonde

Today I picked up Brian Eno's Another Green World and The Delgados' The Great Eastern for a total of £8. Which was nice.

They are sporadically talented, and rank up with my favourtie bad bands of all time, KISS and ten benson.

There was a period last year where I awoke to find piss either in my wastebin, in a drawer full of t shirts (And quite a high one, I have no idea how I positioned myself) or all over my bass rig. It's weird, cos the nights it happened I recall leaving the club, going to bed etc and so attribute it to alcohol assisted sleepwalking. I'm especially proud of giving a pin badge that said 'FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCK' to Snooker legend John Virgo at about 4am in a hotel bar as well. Course, he was a lot more wasted than we were. He read the badge, absolutely pissed himself laughing, I gave it him, he muttered something about knowing the guy from Jethro Tull and we went to get a taxi. Kickass.
