Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
notJames replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Is it too far-fetched to believe that Nancy was the one that did the killing? I mean, that's as bizarre as I can think. My wife actually posed the question when we talked about it last night. I'm not sure how I feel about anything right now. Part of me just doesn't want to know what happened. -
Did anyone notice during the battle royale, JBL mentioned that Cor Von won a Super Bowl (or something to that effect). I thought that was kinda cool, considering the fact that WW_ won't acknowledge who Cor Von really is. For all his faults as a wrestler, JBL sure has blossomed as an announcer, especially for all the diehard wrestling fans out there.

Only someone like Vince McMahon would book his own on-air death just so he can see his tribute play out on TV. Ugh. How entertaining can the impending "Whodunnit?" possibly be when, in kayfabeland, nobody liked Mr. McMahon? Who really wants to know who's behind it? I sure don't. Good think I have a lot of new DVDs coming so I have something else to watch when the McMahon nonsense airs over the summer.

Having not read all 34 previous pages, I assume I'm not the only one who wasn't surprised by the limo blowing up. I hate to sound like the guy who says "I knew it" after it happens, but I could just tell that the excruciatingly long walk to the limo was a set-up for something as ridiculous as what happened. The only real surprise for me was that they actually went through with it. Ugh. I guess SmackDown! isn't the only thing that died last night. If they only brought over Khali so he can squash the "cruiserweights" every week, that's one less show for me to watch. Not sure how I feel about Benoit on ECW, but as he's one of my all-time faves, I'll watch him wherever he goes (except for TNA). And now with Black Lesnar on RAW, who's the frontrunner for ECW champ? Burke? Benoit? Montcus CorBrown? CM Punk? Can't wait to see what they do next.

I have to wonder what was the first thing that went through Dana's mind when he saw footage of the house brawl: - "Fuck, those idiots are going to make us all look like goons!" or - "Fuck, that's going to look great on TV!" I mean, if it was option A, would he have fought the producers about showing the footage, knowing the general perception of professional fighters as bloodthirsty malcontents? I guess the subsequent dressing down of the morons would make up for it. And I love how he called that one guy "Lobster", not even giving him the courtesy of knowing his real name. What a show.

I don't get it... if Wang was kicked off Team Penn, and was acting like a whiny cunt about being on Team Not-A-Bitch, why didn't Dana just kick his ass to the curb? He had no problem letting lazy ass Gabe go. If Wang was going to be a dick (pun intended), why let him stay and train? They had six other alternates to choose from if someone got hurt. Cut the unmotivated retard. And really, his whole "honourable warrior" routine was wearing really thin. "Even though BJ cut me, I thought I still owed him some loyalty." "I'm a ronin, a teacher-less warrior." Blah blah blah. I hated his whole spiel before his fight, I hated his relentless inablility to follow directions during his fight, and I hated his self-delusion after he lost his fight. And now after he disrespected Jens, I hate him even more. Let that stupid Asian crybaby go already. And how in the world did Weems get all those wins? Wasn't he like 13-6 before his fight? (I can't remember the exact numbers, but he had a lot of wins) The guy had no game whatsoever. As much as I don't like Team Penn, I'm glad Weems got schooled the way he did. No business being in there.

Comparing Hawks statement to Bob's is ridiculous. At least what Hawk said is logical, and a very true statement. This makes you stupider than anything Enigma says. Eddie did not win the title post-mortem... This might have been a dig at Rey Rey's title reign. That's the way I read it.

Wow, I was going to say the same thing about Shane. There's something to be said about the Boss's son being able to come out whenever the winds change, "play wrestler", show up the actual talent, take the big paydays (Main Event at WM, Main Event at RAW), and then slither back to his day job with the New Media Dept. Sure, he grew up with the business and probably has a lot of respect for the wrestlers, but even he has to realize that it isn't helping the guys that actually bust their butts night in and night out only to have the Silver Spoon reap the rewards. If I never see Shane (or any McMahon) wrestle again, it'll be too soon. I'm probably in the minority, though.

Damn. Just saw this last night. Creepy to say the least. This is why I steered away from organized religion. Spirituality is too easily manipulated and abused by those in power, especially when it comes to kids. It was horrifying how demonstrative and near-belligerent they got these kids to act in the name of religious fervor. The speaking in tongues bit was just ridiculous, too. If I ran into one of those Evangelical kids, I wouldn't know whether to cry for them or shake them until their eyes popped out.

I wasn't a fan of making the 4-way ladder rematch in the first place because it smacked of desperation booking. I'm not a fan of Deuce & Domino, so I'm not all that looking forward to the PPV tag title match. I'm also not a fan of the way they went about making the match, having it be a WW_.com "exclusive" news item. I know they had to get the news out quickly since the PPV is coming up quickly, but I'd rather see the angle play out on TV with all the players involved. These bookers need to be more on the ball. Yeah I know, tall order for this group of monkeys with typewriters.

Yay, verily. Of course, like it's been said before, it probably doesn't resonate with people unless they saw it when it came out. It's kinda like Caddyshack for me. All my friends loved this movie because they saw it in its proper time. I was never interested in it, and when I finally did see it, it didn't do it for me. As for Emilio not liking Ally until her makeover, I think not. You could see he was interested in her way before that. Right after the "do you always carry this much shit in your bag" scene, he was seriously trying to connect with her. Being able to see her face was just an added bonus.
-
Eh. It was okay, I guess. Nothing I'd go out of my way to see again. Your mileage may vary.

What he said. I thought The Cooler was great. And "Falling Down" on acid is exactly what I thought when I saw Edmond. Highly intense and thought-provoking. Mamet at his finest. Macy definitely excelled in this role. Nice cameos from Mena Suvari and Julia Stiles among others.

Something was bugging me throughout the entire broadcast. Joey and Taz kept mentioning how RVD put the 25 stitches in Holly's back. Wasn't it Holly that suplex'd RVD into the table on the outside, which caused the injury? So really, Holly screwed Holly. Just kinda annoying to me.

Did my first order already . Stupid me, I didn't take a screenshot of the shopping cart before I completed the purchase. But I think this is what I bought: Arrested Development Season 3 Strangers With Candy Complete Series Donnie Darko Director's Cut The Station Agent V For Vendetta SE Everything Is Illuminated Elizabethtown (Xmas gift) Gone With The Wind (Xmas gift) Awaiting release on Tuesday the 14th: Oldboy Colelctors Edition Strangers With Candy movie Unfortunately, they didn't have the Simpsons Season 8 Maggie Head or Boondock Saints Special Edition. I really wanted those. And if they could have pushed the sale back two weeks, I could have also gotten Clerks 2 and An Evening With Kevin Smith 2, both of which release on the 28th. Check out the DDDVD thread on DVDTalk for a list of all the useable codes, plus see what other people have already purchased (if you need any ideas on what to get). Merry Xmas! -
Can they wrestle? That's all I care about. If their talent justfies getting TV time, whatever. But I'm not going to make any judgments from a single vignette. But I will come right out the chute and say I don't usually dig comedy wrestlers. Not my cup o' tea.
-
ban plz thx

What he said. Almost as much as bringing more of wrestling's dinosaurs back to take away airtime from the real talent. The dead should stay dead.
-
That totally sucks. I hope they at least keep the US Title match and the Pitbulls/Hooliganz match. With my luck, I'll just get stuck with that stupid Guerrero angle and the Miz. Ugh.

That No Mercy poster looks so fake.

I forgot this was on, so I was only able to catch Bret v. Goldust, and I'm severely pissed that I missed Owen v. Pillman. Man, I miss the days before JR got Bell's Palsy. His commentary was crisp and fluid. I will be catching this every week from now on, although having wrestling on six days a week (seven with PPVs) will probably burn me out more than it already has. At least the MSG shows will have better matches on average than the current shows.
-
Man, I hope not. There's only so much nostalgia that I can have force fed to me before I pull a Mr. Creosote.

Vince happened. You should know by now that his favourites get the lion's share of TV exposure above all else, even the champion. That's why we've been getting nothing but DX, Spirit Squad and Vince's naked ass all over RAW. I wonder how Edge feels being a two-time, second-tier "transitional" champion. Because that's what he looks like.
