  1. I guess books can be dangerous in the spread of IDEAS. Depends on what you are threatend by. The comment about the bible is a good one considering it history but the real danger there has always been its readership.
  2. QUOTE I don't see what is so wrong with people wanting to be on the side of right. If the US fucks up and does things that are wrong the US SHOULD be called on their shit. It's a war FOR the United States of America. If we are right then we are right. No we can't be that way ALL the time. But I am not convinced that my country IS on the right side at all times. People can call me all the names they like on a message board, but I will keep my conscience clear. I'm not quite sure what you are saying here. Are you saying it's bad or good for people to say that they believe in their country, or something else completely? huh.gif Justice, What I am saying is I want to be right about this war on terror. Yet all I can think about is how we got here. (for example)The CIAs involvment in Afganistan during the war with the Russians maybe have demoted them from being a superpower for sure. But now we have this instead? THIS is what I voted for? Anytime a news story like Gitmo, or AG Prison, or flushing Korans down the toilet I cringe ay what a huge PR fuck up it is. What happened to winning their hearts and minds? You can't JUST put the blame on the media and cry bias! These people believed it because they don't trust us and these (the above) are among the multiple reasons why. This has been a poorly run operation from the beginning. You can pick all the truths, half truths, and lies wherever you want to find them and twist them to mean whatever you want. But one thing remains undeniable... We will NOT win this war with force. It will NOT help us to torture detainees, criminals, POWs or whatever you want to call them. Sure Saddam is out of power, but Americans are STILL in danger and will remain that way until a compromise is met. Which of course means that ALOT people each side considers to be the real criminals are going to get away scott free. Sad to say, but it is probably the price of peaceful SOLUTION to this problem. To have no more worrys about our borders, or another 9-11 to make the first one looking small. I have no problem understanding why someone would (or want to) believe in their country because I WANT to. It's just going to take a real big shift in policy to get me to stand with them. I hope that clears it up.
  3. http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0205/jesushair.html Oh yeah. Why Did Jesus Have Long Hair Like a Homo? Dear Paster, Last weak at homeskool, me and my bruther was lookin at some pitchures of Jezus, and we sawed he had reel long hairs on his haid. He looks like my sister, Suzanna Beth. I askded my teachur (momma) if that means Jezus were a gay old BUTT-sniffin' homo like my momma's cousin, "Gay Bobby," cause neither of theys never got marryed. But my momma did'nt no the anser. Can you pleaze tell us? Yours in Criyst Jezus, - Billy-Joe Dear Billy-Joe, God bless you, young man, and thank you for bringing up this important question. I understand it can be difficult when you see all those photographs of Jesus in your Children's Bible and wonder whether you're gazing upon our Beloved Savior, or just some scruffy hustler swishing along in the Wigstock Parade. Add to that Jesus’ effeminate yearnings for such staples of the homosexual agenda as so-called “peace,” “love,” and “compassion,” and it’s perfectly understandable how an good, decent, conservative youngster like yourself would start to out-and-out DESPISE the Lord. Fortunately, there are perfectly rational reasons for why the earliest known photographs of Jesus show him with girlishly elongated hairs. First, what you must understand is that after Jesus accepted himself as Lord and Savior, and became the first Christian - what do you think was the first thing he did? I'll give you a hint - It is a tradition that we here at Landover Baptist carry on to this very day! It is the first thing the Holy Ghost whispers into your ear, the minute you get saved. That's right, Billy-Joe. Jesus got a haircut. The reason you see so many pictures of Jesus with long hair is because those pictures were drawn by unsaved people. Most of them were drawn by hell-bound, pasta-slurping, Mary-worshipping, hell-bound Catholics. Jesus had short hair, Billy-Joe. And He was always clean-shaven for the last three years of His life here on Earth. Can you imagine how painful it must have been for Him to pluck His nose hairs with a wooden tweezers? He did it for you, Billy. He did it because He loves you, not the way a homosexual loves another man, but the way a Father loves his son. And you must follow His example. If the false images of Jesus with long hair are a stumbling block for you, then just tear them out of your Bible. For a more accurate example of what Jesus would look like if He were walking amongst us today, just gaze on the portrait of our Godly President, George W. Bush, hanging in the main sanctuary. If you'd like to have the pictures of Jesus in your Bible replaced with photographs of President Bush, then ask your mother to contact Youth Pastor Geoffrey Weaver. We have printed out several thousand copies of a new children's Bible with the pictures already replaced. God Bless You, - Pastor God bless us all. At least They finally answered my question!
  4. Oh man does Cobra make me laugh though. The killer guy (yanno NOT AHnold) and all his (pig) cheesy (pig) satanic "subtext" has line after line of awesome dialoge. Stallone has his fair share too ("Hey dirtbag, you're a lousey shot. I hate lousey shots"). Oh the laughs. That shit will never be unfunny. You know it wasn't all that long ago that we were all still afraid of heavy metal and the devil. Classic 80's.

  6. As opposed to what, a Stone movie of someone else's? He did write Scarface. Which I saw the other night and was reminded as to how crappy it was. DePalma directed.
  7. Its a very uninteresting story. A short one but still very uninteresting. Actually, I don't know. I thought it was a made up word.
  8. I have no clue what you are talking about. Please continue.
  9. So the question I think is: Are we willing to give up a moral high ground as a means to an end? I for one wouldn't WANT to be on that team. Maybe, if we consistantly kept that moral high ground then "the Arabs" would be more willing to join that team. Of course its waaaay too late for any of that. The piss poor politics of this Bush Admin. will leave us an enemy of every Arab, Muslim, and religious set. Shouldn't we be convincing them that we actually ARE there to help? Iraq is so fucked when we leave.
  10. Source? I thought they were SUSPECTS--meaning we don't know if they're actually guilty or not. If they're terrorists, then what acts of terrorism have they committed? If they are terrorists supporters, what have they actually done to support terrorism? Thats a great question RJ. Hopefully its understood my post before was done with eyes rolling the whole way.
  11. and nothing WILL ever be done about it. alot folks won't even care. Apparently something like this will cause people to donate MONEY to Amnesty International. Which invalidates everything they have ever done or will do. Pfft. Liberals! All they want is ALL the money.
  12. Ugh, typical. The anti-war crowd will eat this with a spoon. But we outta just get used to it. Its a propaganda nation now. Pravda Uber Alles.
  13. Well HHH had his big "return" this monday and to a sad ratings drop. So I guess that'll be SOMEBODY elses fault. Even IF he was the big surprise of the night so to speak. Even IF his return was suppose to be the water cooler buzz for the rest of the week. Blah. HHH is a pretty good wrestler overall. But nobody can stay at that level forever. Its not like the guy doesn't have options. As in wrestling mostly at house shows for a year or so and THEN making a top run again with a good opponent. Benoit was the guy that should have put Batista over at Mania. Think of how different things could be now with the heat that Batista has AND with good matches under his belt as champ. Sigh.
  14. I think Kurt does just fine as a serious heel. His work during his first title reign was great. Him yelling at the Rock about how "I'm gonna FUCKING BREAK YOUR ANKLE" was gold IMO. In the past his feuds with Benoit, Eddy, and HBK were all gold. Tell me you couldn't take him seriously, C'mon! These are his trademarks. Angle was as goofy as he has ever been in the Mania commercial with Christy, but doing that didn't hurt his match with HBK or make it any more difficult to get "into it". What it did do was add to the opportunities for Angle to do different things while he remains active as a wrestler. So kudos.
  15. Kevin Nash. Guy had shit for talent, but thanks to working with some decent people managed to get himself a title run in the WWF.
  16. Someone calls there mom and they go to bed without dessert. My recruiter was a cool guy. Told me jumping out of an airplane was better than sex. His wife must not have been that hot. Even if it is true.
  17. I... am... stunned... somebody hit me with the tazer again.
  18. Hogan wasn't anything in the WWF before he was champion. They made a boatload of money too. Like it or hate it, success it was.
  19. that's a laugh No, not really it isn't.
  20. 30 last september. Now none of you can trust me. Die Wonderful scum, get a job!
  21. Cerebus is right on track with this. Of course TV, Newspapers, etc. are ALLOWED to sell ads. It's that they are GEARED entirely towards serving the advertisers rather than serving the public interest. So when they choose stories to put on the front page or at the beginning of a news broadcast they will always choose the story that will serve the interest of the people and companies who buy the advertising. For example: The Lewinsky Scandal being reported really didn't serve any public interest that wasn't purient. But OH BOY did it catch ratings! Like Clinton or hate him people were INTO that story. So we all got ourselves a nice blowjob story to talk about at the dinner table with the kids. Isn't that nice? You can bet thought that the ad rates during that portion of the news broadcast was alot higher than say... later around the time of the weather report. This is of course how TV works. But it isn't always how the NEWS has worked. It's changed alot over the years and not always for the better. Corporations Uber Alles.
  22. I'm a big fan of No Mercy as well, but as of now for playability Day of Reckoning is tops. Haven't tried the new X-Box game though.
  23. I can understand why some folks might feel the guy needed to go. He WAS an asshole to alot of people but the important part was just how he really didn't need to be that way. But hey! The guy was alot of fun to fuck with. I always thought his posts were entertaining as hell. The more he frothed at the mouth the harder I would laugh. This is coming from a guy who has had plenty of his posts derailed by the guy. All you had to say was some vaguely contrary thing and off he would go! I will miss him.
