Ron Simmons and Butch Reed fused to be a pretty good tag team as Doom and they had some really good matches with the Steiners and the Four Horsemen. Simmons is actually a very good tag partner as far as the "power guy who cleans house" goes.

You forget that Owen played the Blue Blazer in his first stint in the WWF in the late eighties, to hide how young he was at the time. I remember the Blazer repelling from the rafter and doing backflips into the ring and all kinds of stuff like that during his first run, it was part of the character.

It's widely pervieved that Flair carried Giant Gonzalez to at least *** and I've always maintained that Bossman vs. Barbarian from RR '91 was at least *** too.

The South Park/Chapelle Show Thread
WrestlingDeacon replied to BorneAgain's topic in Television & Film
You know, when I was writing about how this won't be funny five years from now because no one will know or care about Wayne Brady I was thinking to myself, "well if anyone disputes that I'll just tell them to take a look at where Tommy Davidson is now." Freaky. -

What I'm saying is nobody will know who Wayne Brady is or give a shit about him five years from now and that's why it won't be funny. The skit about Rick James involved events that happened twenty years ago and it's still funny so that means it will still be funny twenty years from now. Rick James is a larger than life pop culture icon. Even people who don't know who he is know the name. -

That won't be funny five years from now, but at this moment that's like one of the top ten skits they've ever done easy. -

Your quotes of the week: "Good evening bitches." "Is Wayne Brady going to have to choke a bitch?" -

I'm interested in seeing where this going. I like them bringing back stuff from previous episodes, like the Nick Cannon thing and the fact that white people love Wayne Brady. -
I don't come into this folder much, but I have a question for the hardcore WWE fans. Now don't bash me, I don't like Bradshaw and thinks he sucks in the ring, but I love the gimmick. The way he's dressed, is presented, his motivations, his theme music is totally different from anyone else they have and it's a breath of fresh air. In the past couple of years every worker seems to be the exact same guy with the same style, pushed the same way with the same generic rock theme. There's something very old school about an evil stockbroker cowboy, he's almost like JR Ewing. And I've noticed a few other guys have been given more specific gimmick, like Eugene Dinsmore and Rene Dupree. It's almost like they're taking a step back from the characters that worked in the attitude era and going back to the type of characters you would see in the '80's, maybe just a bit more believable and fleshed out. So my question is, do you guys like this idea and think that this direction, more gimmick oriented, is a good way to go for the WWE at this time?

What can I say? They're hitting me with obscure flicks with very little detail. Any infor for either movie would be a great help. "I’m trying to remember a film I saw when I was younger but I’ve no idea what it's called. it was about a couple of boys who live in Arizona or some American desert region who are convinced that recent disappearances are caused by vampires and that the stranger who's dating their sister is one of them. It turns out to be punks as one boy gets snatched into their van while walking along the road wrapped in the stars and stripes for some reason. Any idea what movie?" "When I was a kid (80's) I remember watching a horror movie about some teens on campout in like the moutains/mining area so they could all go motocrossing/atving and shit. Anyway, stereotypical psycho, dumb, silent guy starts to kill them off. I remember a scene where someone opens a door and an African American girl falls out with a pick ax in her head. The lead guy looked like the main dude in Gremlins (from what I remember). " The dude is from Gremlins is Zach Galligan, but nothing of his I know or read in his filmography sounds right. Thanks again.

Way for Nick Dinsmore to evolve his character
WrestlingDeacon replied to Dandy's topic in The WWE Folder
They'll just do what they've done in the past. Regal and Dinsmore will bond, then Bisch will give Eugene some pussy and the pussy will cause him to turn on Regal. Pussy is greater than friendship. Or I say have Eugene sitting on the floor staring at a snow globe with a wrestling ring inside while his Grandpa Vince wonders what he sees in that damn thing. -
A guy named "Your Mama." So we get the commentators saying things like "Chris Benoit just suplexed Your Mama" or "Triple H is going to town on Your Mama." Probably be an Asian guy. His finisher can be an ancient Japanese move called "Your Father." So we can have "Triple H just jobbed to Your Father."

Yeah, see, I thought about Near Dark for that one too. And again the description didn't quite match. I appreciate all the help, it's that these peopole write in with the sketchiest of misremembered details and expect me to pull the title out of my ass. Although, admittedly, I did figure out another movie for this coming week with nothing to go on but "fat guy on a train wearing purple pants."
