I love Sunn O))) and all the other sort of Drone Doom bands out there. Part of me is tempted to say just get White 2, but then it's the last one I've listen to for a while. Sadly uni's meant I've missed seeing them live, but some of my mates have seen them...was a gut testing experience by all accounts. Dunno how you feel about other sorts of Drone bands, but there are a few that offer up a fair chunk of stuff for free on the net.

It should be a good show and at skipping distance from Brum and fairly cheap (£40 for both days) I' can't really pass it up. Unless Uni ties my hands.

Saw High on Fire last night. Winnebago Deal are one of the most god awful piece of shit bands I've ever had the misfortune to see live. But the other supprt, Callisto ruled, very Cult of Luna style stuff. High on Fire themselves where great, rocking it out from start to finish.

After listening to the October Tide side project, I can say Katatonian (or at least the members) NEVER should have stopped doing Doom.
