Yes, he will be. Then we vote like the voyures we are.

Short, nothing sweet about, but damn clear. And it looks like the whole fed is going to be gunning for Toxxic soon enough. I wait to see more on this.
-
Happy Birthday Mark. How goes the anti-party?
-
^ Read it people. It does sort of sum it up.
-
Well man, SOME of us want to read it because we know it'll be good. You're here, you're writing, you're entertaining. And doing a damn fine job of it man. Don't let them get you down.

The whole struggle for control of the fed angle. Danny's World Title win. Me and Va'aiga beating Justic and Rule for the Tag Tiles (still one of my personal proudest moment) Aecas winning the JL title. Getting Janus to return. Too many things to remember.

If someone feels we need to go back to that style, then they'll try. Or people like you will come back and try. But right now I'd hope people are doing what they want to do because they like it. I for one has no problem reading thousands of words. I relly should be talking more about it though, that's a big problem. As for the drawing point being the characters...definatly not true to everyone.

See to me, that just highlights the WWE style. I don't want to spend ages replying to random promos against me. I have a hard enough time finding witty things to say in real life, let alone trying to write them about a character I made with zero promo skill for that reason. I guess it's how you want to treat the kayfabe world, as to how much does go on backstage between people. As fun is that system might be to some, it's not to others and vice versa with the planning. To me, promos are for hyping a fued, hyping a big match/ppv. Calling someone out for whatever after action in in match. Or talking about injuires or nasty shit that have already happen in the ring. I came here because I wanted to write wrestling matches. I came to a compeative match writing e fed because that's what I want. Not to write some throw shit at the wall and hope it works and no one noticed the bad stuf soap opera. I think both stubbon and over protective sides have completely driven this into the ground. I can safely say I'm now just arguing to protect my point. Like all hobbies and fun paste times we're all here some something a little different. You do what works for you with a people of similar attitude. Apart from that, this place works great.

I'm not saying we can't do both Mark. But Thugg, to me it seems, has been making a big push for those WWE style angles. If he wants to work on fair enough. If other people do, good for them. But I and others don't. I see this fed as I place to make great things happen that I can't see on the WWE ever and hardly see on other wrestling fed anymore either. For your example, it's not completely fair as you've talking about the huge name in the fed, and that tips the scales. Had it been someone less famous and more recent, it might have been different. As for protecting your characters, you more real you can make them, the more you can work with them and make people understand them, the better they will be. Look at the work done with Va'aiga. And how awesome all that story was and how he was built up. It's fair enough to do what you want with people that agree with you, but we clearly all dont agree on one style. We may very well be in a very different age of the fed, where people's general style leans more towards planning and working with people on characters and angles. We're paintballing anyway. Throwing out big, messy ideas and we'll take up the small, good ones that stick and will work.

I'll be talking about this lot more man we I see more promos and have stuff to judge against...this is going to be very interesting.
-
Well, a Back Body Drop caught into a Powerbomb in a commonish Crusier Spot. It'd have to be a Diving Powerbomb, as the way you'd catch them and the right.
-
Thugg, as for this being a Smarks fed, I was on about the writers, not the name or style. Most of us are deeply versed in it and care to write something far better in four weeks than the WWE pisses out in a year. Largely because we can produce better storylines and matches than the WWE ever has. But not if we try to act like WWE or the the marking team looks for WWE style matches (but I don't even know if that's an issue at all, so that's neither here or there) And if stuff is planned, we never have to do any of that stupid ignoring it ever happened stuff ala WWE either unless something cocks up in real life and things need to be on the back burner.

Yes, as soon as I drop 50 pounds and magiclly turn into a Junior Heavyweight.

Thanks Maddix. And yer, the fed isn't that bad. We just need to really get on the new talent case. Like looking at other message boards to farm from. As for the spots WC...when I start Space Station Dropkicks (Missile Dropkick on an opp as they're in mid air from a top rope move) from you, I'll be impressed. Can't just have the same shock spots over and over either. Just like storylines. They don't have to get bigger and bigger, just new. EDIT: This is just my personal view, but this does show we have clear different sides to this fed. Probably a good thing as well.
-
You know the problem with shock angles? Why should you ever trust anyone with more twists and turns that an old extension lead? I mean, someone that stabs people in the back (be they heel of face) every five mintues for almost no reason other than a storyline pop and shock....are you gonna trust them? But if the change is slow, built, and has reason, it's another matter. Not saying fast turns can't work, but really. Plots Not Spots. This is a Smarks e fed after all.
-
Thugg, not everyone likes short, "boring" soap opera WWE angles. That's the problem with that. The really BIG problem.

As I said, I might have guessed with Grand Slam quitting booking, he might have been Tom's partner. Definatly up there with my guess of pant wetting levels of King/Edwin being back. The Toxxic/Aecas stuff is really sweet. I'm loving the vibe they're making to make and the whole Aecas doing uber creepy magic tricks just adds to it. Keep going with this. Till I kill Toxxic on the next show that is. My match was an unmotivated squash...bahhh. Coy just gets funnier and funnier. He's definatly building up to the levels we've seen with Ejiro before hand. So don't worry Coyjiro, you've still got it and we're digging your character. And CPP? That's bloody classic! And look, just because Dace isn't married to Kayin...damn you boy... Nice to see someone bringing the communist jokes back in as well. I don't know what acid trip you where on, but you had a damn good one it seems. I await Tag Team goodness to talk about. Duran is still playing uber heel evilness..good stuff. And the main event... pops, returns, crowd heat, the fans go home happy. Hard to complain.
-
Nope, I just spent a lot of time bobbing in the uppermid card during my SJL run before really breaking into the main event. I'm doing the same thing now. In theory, means greatness isn't far away.
-
Curtain Jerking to Main Event, back to back. Man it's like being back in the JL. But I'm digging that, shows me I still have to push to get right to the top and it leaves to room to work around with lots of stuff. As for this match with Toxxic...mwahahaha, even if I'm kicking my own arse for motivation, I should enjoy this. Get ready to die...you SLAG! </Westend accent>

I personally really like the middle ground idea. If you have an angle and storyline, give the CC heads up and they book the needed stuff for you, or at least have the angle in mind while booking you. But if you have nothing, just throw your name into the hat and you get paired off and given a bare bones idea for an angle to work with someone. That would really help with motivation I think. As not all the fed in regularly on Chat/Instant Messengers, so you can't chat to them as much, and you don't suddenly thing..."Mmmm, so and so is a decent guy, I like their character, could be fun to work with them.." General booking wise, I don't have anything major to say that hasn't been said. Both sides need just a little more to keep on the situation. Yer I've been booked in stuff I dont like sometimes, but you can't really request a match everyshow and the CC needs to mix it up, it's nothing to bad. In other terms of motivation, I'm just generally not feeling it from my end right now. I just need a kick up my arse to get me going again. It's not from the lack of the fed, more the lack of myself. Because at the end of the day, this is still a fun place, and when you get going it's damn fun to do. Maybe with the booking thing, the CC should talk to the board staff, get an account set up for them, and just share it between them, so all booking stuff can go to one place? Maybe. EDIT: A booking thread wouldn't spoil everything. You can keep things quiet. If you know what you're doing, dont post, just tell the CC. And if you see an opening with someone, PM them and leave it out of the thread. Should work that way.

The most obvious person of all really. Damn I should have known...damn you Tom. -
Ouch. The joys of University education. My years of a physics student are going to be fun.

He used a lifting version of in during the Invasion. I know he used a Super Russian Leg Sweep a few times as well in Heat/Velocity/Dark matches.

Almost the same as me. Maths, Physics and Computing. I'm on Edexcel for Computing and the coursework I have to do is fucking insane. 400 pages by easter.......eeepp!
