And he was with Seattle the whole time. Pretty impressive.

Well, I guess DL is non-dramatically dead after all. Bizarre. Every time the head of the Irish criminals comes on screen, all I can think is "BUILD A HOUSE!"

Yeah, but at that point of the season, Oregon State was a decent 8-4 team. This seemed more like an aberration for Stanford than a season-tipping event. If Stanford ends up going on a tear to win 7-8 games, it's a different kind of loss. Of course, the polls still have USC retardedly high despite the loss, so who knows.
-
I would hope so. Barring a three-team scenario like with USC/OU/Auburn in 2004, an undefeated team from any BCS conference should have a place in the title game.
-
Polls are out. USC is incredibly fortunate and only drops to 7 in the Coaches'. Yes, that's right; losing at home to Stanford is a greater achievement than losing to Cal by 6 inches. UVA's #26! You're goin' down, UConn!

You hate yourself for spending 2 dollars? What happens if you buy a sandwich you don't like?

I wouldn't have them ranked either. They're 6-0 but have two wins over I-AA teams and haven't beaten anyone good. I'll rank them if they go unbeaten, because then they'll have gone unbeaten and beaten both Boise and Washington, but I can't be impressed with a team that's essentially kicking babies as they crawl out of a burning orphanage.

Amazing. I lost to replacement picks. Woo! This must be my rebuilding year.

Jacob Hester looks like an autistic Quentin Tarantino. And I like it.

The MTSU game was hilarious. We're retards on the road, but got it done. Considering I didn't think we'd have 5 wins all year after the Wyoming debacle, I'll take 5-1 anyway I can get it.

USC loses their first home game in years on the Versus network. Outdoor Living indeed!

Nothin'. 4th and about 16 for the game. And they win! Bored gets drunk tonight!
-
2:50 left, and Stanford just picked off Booty. 44 yards to go, and Bored is deeply aroused somewhere right now.

Oh boy, FSU/NC State instead of the Red River Shootout for me! Thankfully there's Tennessee/Georgia anyway.

UNC 20, Miami 0. Seeing UNC up 20 on anyone is wild, Miami in particular. Illinois looks pretty good today as well, and Maryland is doing some damage to a very confusing Georgia Tech team. Chris Turner just executed one of the best play-action fakes I've ever seen for 40 yards to Heyward-Bey.

I don't get this. It's the NFL. Chicago gets beat by Detroit. The Raiders win games. Dogs laying down with cats, etc. Every game's a threat to the record, which is one of many reasons that the "WILL SOMEONE GO UNDEFEATED" meme is one of the lamest to come up every year.

Every time I see the blue light, I'm always going to hope that the machine has somehow downloaded Mario 3 and is urging me to play it.

Ian KacKaye's "3aiting 5oom" is one of my tavorites.

There are a couple differences between the Radiohead and Prince online models. Prince released a handful of albums online-only, and they were available only to members of the ill-fated NPG Music Club, which required $100 annual subscriptions. In that sense, the pricing model is different, because customers were more paying for a subscription to Prince than for a particular piece of media. Second, those Prince albums have a reputation as being nothing more than dragging ass, and I don't think anyone but the most die-hard ever expected much out of The Chocolate Invasion, Slaughterhouse, or Xpectation (an instrumental album). You're a better man than me if you've heard of those albums before this post. They weren't significant releases in much any way. By contrast, this is Radiohead's first real album in 4 years. It still might suck, sure, but it's a much different pitch than "here's what (eye) did in the studio this weekend, and thanks 4 ur $100." I'd argue that In Rainbows is the first significant release by a significant artist (commercially speaking) to focus on a label-free online sales model.

That'd be pretty anti-climactic. "Whoops, guess who died after all? Now, more guys in hoodies pushing people off roofs!"

Every game but Stanford's been at home, and they haven't faced a really strong opponent yet (despite the OU win, I think Colorado's looking at a 6-7 win season at best). Considering that they've certainly outplayed a few teams above them (Virginia Tech first and foremost), they should probably be a little higher, but 18's not too bad. The real answer is "they weren't ranked to start the season, so there."

I like team roll better.

That's pretty good, though I haven't heard it start to finish yet. I think I've heard just about every song on it at work using Slacker. I haven't noticed the cultural saturation yet either.
