My God. LOL. WACKY WAILING HAPPY CRAZY INFLATABLE TUBE MAN!

Okay, the Penguins are never going to win.
-
I'm starting to feel like the Penguins are going to overtime EVERY GAME. They seemed like they were getting their asses kicked, being completely outclassed for a period and a half against the Flyers. I'm talking about getting pushed around and looking absolutely slow as hell (which is amazing, considering their players) and overmatched. But, after falling behind 5-1, they come back with four goals (including a bizarre, fluky one from Talbot to tie it) and then a little help from the save of the year thusfar from Sebastian Caron to force OT. We'll see what happens now, but this is insane. Hopefully they can win their first. Crosby has 1+1, too.

What does any of this have to do with Harriet Miers? -

That passage from the Constitution is pretty irrelevant. -
Roethlesberger's MRI's were negative, might be available for this week. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2187451 I'm shocked and convinced he is an alien.

NFL Live just reported that the Steelers are saying it appears to be a bone bruise and a hyperextended MCL, with an MRI forthcoming tomrrow morning. They also said the ligaments appear to be intact. Steelers fans go to bed tonight praying for their QB, because if that test comes back bad, we're fucked.

I hope to God it's just a sprain, but I don't think it's gonna happen. That was a nasty hit, and his knee buckled.
-
Maddox will be back next week, probably. He's not hurt that bad.
-
It's either him or Antwaan Randle El....
-
Roethlisberger just tore his MCL/ACL.

That was another bad one that I forgot about, but it turned out not mattering. San Diego's secondary is horrible, in other news.

I've seen about five or six atrocious calls. The personal foul on Pola was terrible. They missed an obvious intentional grounding call on Brees, they gave them a gift in a 15 yard interference call when it should've been illegal contact at best (the ball was uncatchable), and the fair catch interference was just utterly gross.

The refs are SCREWING Pittsburgh right now. WOW.

Reason Fleury was AHL'd this year is because they wanted him playing every night as opposed to just starting one in ten. Of course, he was the best goalie in the preseason (by far) in GAA and save %, but getting Thibault, you're not gonna pay that much for a backup goalie unless MAFleury is Hasek 2.0.
-
'Canes won in the shootout. I dunno, I don't get why people don't like the shootout; it doesn't really hurt anything. Either way, the Pens and Canes get a point; might as well make sure someone gets the W... Crosby, Lemieux, and Palffy all were an inch or so away from scoring (although, I suppose that's how it always is), and Stillman owned Caron for the winner. The rookie goalie for the 'Canes, Ward, looked real good, too.
-
Crosby had a MARVELOUS assist to send the 'Canes-Pens game into OT.

I'm not so sure it will drop health care costs, though. The industry sets the prices, and I doubt they'll drop them just because malpractice cases have ceased. They're find another excuse, like the ever-rising prices of pharmecuteicals (sp? wow, bad spelling day) to keep prices high as ever. And insurance premiums will still be high, etc. It's not gonna make enough of a difference to make it worth it in the long run, I think. It may be good in principle, but it won't make much, if any, difference in costs. Probably. This is, of course, mental exercise since we're predicting the future.
-
Tort reform, to my knowledge (and I admit that it is somewhat limited), would have very little effect on the price of medicine. Thus, medical costs would still be astronomical and health care providers will still have an excuse to hike up the rates. You're removing one of their reasons (malpractice), but they've still got a full deck of them.

Yeah, everyone knows that the Asians would come in and take all the money anyways.

Congratulate me.

Yeah, he's a retired Major in the Army and is a hearty conservative. She might make Mike the honorary groom. -
Pens getting whipped by the Devils, 4-0. Check that, 4-1. Crosby with the assist.
