Hey, uh...any chance we could push back the draft an hour or so? I'm not gonna be getting home from work until 5:20 or so that day. If not, someone please show me how to make Yahoo! pick non-incompetent players for the first twenty minutes.

Yea, let's not do this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pretty sure I'm allowed to use whatever emoticon I wish (within reason) without being condescended to, thanks. Mets win 1-0 in San Fransisco after a fantastic return start from Steve Trachsel (8 IP, 2 H, 0 ER). Phillies are whomping the D'Backs (there's a surprise), so they won't gain any ground there, but are now within four of the NL East.

Seriously. That's like three for the Mets alone this year. >_>

Third Strike is part of the Anniversary Collection for PS2 that also includes every version of SF II. And SFA III was released for the PS.

I really wish people would stop bolstering this terrible game franchise. That said, I'll be astounded if this movie isn't awful.

Mets pull out a 3-1 victory tonight and sweep the Diamondbacks in Arizona. I'm incredibly happy about this. They're within 1 1/2 games of the Phillies thanks to this four-game road sweep, which hopefully signifies a change in the Mets' lousy road play before this series. I didn't even expect them to win this series, much less sweep it.

lol Can't imagine this is anything more than a joke.

Not to mention her strange lopsided breasts.

Here's the gist of it; the second baseman got it in his head to tag Matsui and then throw to first, and when he Matsui initially avoided the tag, he threw to first to get Beltran and then Matsui got caught in the extended rundown. You guys should still watch the highlights, 'cause it was funny as hell.

Close, the ball was hit to second. The funniest part of the whole thing was that the Diamondbacks 3rd baseman was shouting and pointing at Reyes while he was rounding third, but the right side of the infield just kept trying to get the runner out and didn't do so until Reyes had easily scored.

Oh my God. With bases loaded and one out, the Mets scored two runs on a double play. Damndest thing I've seen in a long time.

Mike Jacobs (who was in AA Binghamton not a week ago) just hit his third home run in five games. 3-0 Mets in the top of the second. I know it's way too early to get an accurate read on this guy, but he looks incredibly promising thus far.

Salutations and congratulations to the former leader of the Carnival.

Most of the time, yeah. One guy will write the first half of a match and pass it along to the other guy, who will write the second half and finish it off. The level of communication between the two varies from team to team.

Awesome. I wasn't able to play Shenmue 2 thanks to not having (or wanting) an XBox, so this is great news.
-
Goddamn, Mets are just destroying the Diamondbacks 14-1. With everyone in the NL East and Wild Card Races besides the Phillies having lost or losing, this could be a very big night.

Picked up Gradius III & IV for the PS2 today on a whim (helped that it was thirteen bucks). I expected it to be hard, yeah, but this shit is pull out your hair, stare in the screen in disbelief hard. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but unquestionably frustrating. Thank God for unlimited continues.

Apparently Steve Trachsel will make his return start this Friday, and Zambrano will be shunted to the bullpen. Oh yeah, and Danny Graves was designated for assignment.

So...Garth Brooks signed a deal that would significantly damage his CD sales? Even if Wal-Mart is the largest seller of CDs, there's absolutely no way sales will even approach his previous levels with every other retailer in the world unable to sell it. Pretty sure this trend will end when Brooks' newest album tanks.

I think the Fallen died at some point. I might be wrong about that, though. Anyway, I like that idea as well.

Well, kind of a disappointing end to the homestand, but not a bad one overall for the Mets. They go 4-2 and gain a game on the Wild Card, which they're now three out of. The upcoming road trip would be a pretty good time to snap out of their habit of playing horribly when away from Shea. Neither the Diamondbacks or the Giants are terribly challenging teams.
-
Still doesn't excuse what happened. Graves better be chased out of town before the Mets are done with the season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. Incompetent as he is, however, Koo, Heilman and Looper all share part of the blame.
-
=) Woodward wins the game in the bottom of the tenth with an RBI Single. Mets are two games out of the Wild Card.

Jesus FUCKING Christ. Mets' bullpen loses an eight-run lead. Game's tied 8-8 in the top of the ninth.
