Also, I didn't realize I was still allowed to mark things. >_> Not that I'm complaining, it'll be a hell of match(es) to read and mark.

Goddamn, what a card. And like I even have to say how glorious that second image is.

Oh noes! You're going to force that ultra-white family to leave! Aren't you ashamed? Very nice work. =)

Why? He had a great start. The loss isn't his fault in the slightest.

Shining Force II. There's a particular city in which you have to use a Wooden Panel at a tree to open an underground passage. Thing is, I figured that I had to do something with the panel with the tree, but you had to use the panel at a very particular place or it wouldn't work. So I figured I was wrong and tried everything else possible to progress in the game, but nothing would work. I was stuck at that point for months and my characters got ridiculously, unnecessarily powerful. Eventually, I ordered a strategy guide. Keep in mind that this was over ten years ago. I had to order it from Sega's website and it was nothing more than a stack of printer paper stapled together. When I read that I had to use the panel at the tree, I went back to the town and tried it from every possible position. Took me half an hour of trying, but I finally found the one damn spot where it works. Despite all that, it's one of my favorite games ever.

Once again, a Mets starter does everything short of sucking dick (to quote the always eloquent Randy Johnson) to get a win, only to find nearly no offensive support backing them up. Real, real bad loss. Six out of the last seven. Drops 'em below .500. I'm disappointed, is what I'm saying.

Usually, store bought. Unless I can find a Carvel, then it's chocolate and vanilla swirl every time. Carvel's one of the things I miss most about living in New York.

If you're in the right state. ...er, not that I have a deep interest in sodomy laws from state to state or anything. No sir. Happy birthday, CIA and Maddox. =)

Tried it before, very good stuff. We've actually got a KC's Bar and Grill around here that serves alligator poppers, similar to the popcorn chicken things they've got at KFC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Alligator is wonderful. I had some in New Orleans and it was one of the highlights of my trip. If you're not adverse to seafood, a grilled steak of Marlin can be delicious.

I didn't. Or else I wouldn't have said it. =)

Match of the Night goes to Pretzler, I think. I love that bit of psychology near the middle of the match with the Snowflake; it reminds me a lot of HHH's chairshot in the HHH-Rock Ironman match. And it goes without saying how fantastic that ending is.

Agreed. I only picked up a Linksys because it was the cheapest available, but it's worked like a charm since I've had it.

The OAO RAW Thread for June 13th, 2005

DOOOOOOO YOUUUUUUU THIIIIIIINK THAT YOUUUUUUUUU COULD BREAK MY...COBRA...CLUTCH?! Ugh. That was painful. -
Yes...delicious frozen Sno-balls. They're even better when you're dead. The kid wrecks the car, then comes home and kills his dad. I bet his mom's pissed.

I love the opening as well. Pretzler - Benedict rematch at Ground Zero! Congrats to Zyon on a big win. The spots were fantastic and the match as a whole was a very fun read. A little more concentration on description and grammar and you'll be set. Great, entertaining match from Cortez and Maddix. I love the botched Spaceman Plancha spot, if only because it adds that extra bit of tension and makes you wonder about their ability to work as a team. The ending is very well written, too, though it kinda comes out of nowhere. =) Fantastic contest from Hawke, who did a great job building up to the submission throughout the match. At first, I thought the stip was going to be more of a hinderance than anything, but it turned out to not detract from the match at all. I would have loved to see these two go at it in a straight-up submission match, though. Dig that Dangerous promo. I'm greatly looking forward to that match. Absolutely terrific Last Man Standing match from Jenkins. I love how the history between Jenkins and Toxxic was recognized throughout the match; both men countered the other's moves, and each had to resort to doing something new and unexpected to try and get a ten count. And the ending is wonderful, of course. Even if that last paragraph isn't leading anywhere, I love seeing Spike just having a twinge of regret at cutting down his former leader. Beautiful match from Williams. His descriptions are always clear and detailed and they served him well in this match. The story of the match is remarkable; Francis has victory in his clutches, but ironically loses the pinfall because of his constant cheating. And even after that, Williams has to literally beat Francis senseless to gain the victory, such is the determination both men have to win. Great, great match. I'm running out of adjectives. >_> Ejiro's escapes are my favorite part of his match. They're clever, well-written, and imaginative. The whole match was very fun to read, as it seemed like both Fasaki and Buck just went at each other the whole time without taking a single breather. The back work leads up to a great, if expected, finish. And I too wonder what Buck's motivation was for taking out Sexton; I'm glad that was mentioned at the end of the match and wasn't forgotten about. Can't wait for the Wildchild - Pretzler match. Though I'm not sure if Scott's at 100% after taking on His Holiness.

I got this in my PM box just now, from niCKi... I don't know what the policy is with spamming members with PMs, but there it is...

Mets win in an absolutely amazing game. Floyd belts a three-run home run in bottom of the 10th to put the Mets up 5-3 and keep them somewhat in the NL East race. Pedro tomorrow.
-
Holy shit. The second coming of Benny Agbayani (also known as Marlon Anderson) just hit an inside-the-park home run to tie up the Angels-Mets game at two in bottom of the ninth. Mets need this win to say the least. Losing three in a row at home is awful, especially when two of those losses are to the Astros.

That's "We Love Katamari" to you, you filthy round-eye. It gets my vote too. After all, it's the best video game released in the past 10 years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahem. The literal translation is "Everybody Loves Katamari Damacy". The American name does not do the Japanese name justice.

The Legend of Zelda:The Wind Waker. Yeah, exploring the Great Sea did get tedious at times, but the rest of the game made up one of the best Zelda titles ever. The game looks and plays amazing, as the cel-shaded graphics and revamped combat make for a completely new Zelda experience. Not to mention that Ganon looks more badass than in any other game up to that point. Runner-Up: Katamari Damacy. Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy cannot come soon enough; it's the first non-Bemani game I ever imported, but it's been unbearable even waiting for the Japanese release date.

That's great news. I've been looking for an excuse to get one as well, 'cause Kirby: Canvas Curse comes out next week and I need to play that. I simply have to.

Happy birthday, Edwin! Whip up a batch of strawberry daquiris to celebrate.
