Really? Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly. http://russells.freeshell.org/ddollars/tea...=mets&name=Mets

Saw Roy comment on this earlier... Yes, Minaya should go out and get Furcal. Cairo's on the way out, Matsui shouldn't play more than ten games a year, and anyone else currently on the team would only ideally be a temporary solution. There's a bunch of money freed up now that the Mets aren't paying Piazza, Mientkiewicz or Looper and paying Trachsel about four and half million less. I wouldn't be opposed to throwing $6 million or so Furcal's way (I believe he made $5.6 million last year with Atlanta). And as I look over the Mets' payroll, I can't believe they're still paying Mo Vaughn. Sigh.

Better not be pulling our leg with the returnee, Rayn man. You're getting my hopes up over here.

Winner.

Confused the rednecks. My apologies. Edit: And now it's Raynor's birthday! Hooray!
-
I'm stealing that gimmick, Scott.

I won't lie, I miss the guy.

It's G.O.A.T./Andrea/Martin Hunt/Jimmy the Doom/whoever else's birthday! WHOATs all around!

I'm probably about a year late getting on this bandwagon, but Astro Boy: Omega Factor is one of the best handheld games I've ever played.

Admittedly, seven million is too much for Trachsel, but if it leads to a rotation of Martinez/Glavine/Benson/Trachsel/Seo, then I think it's not too outrageous a price tag. Plus, since they hung onto Trachsel, they now have the option of either using Zambrano (or Seo, I guess) as trade bait or to make him a middle reliever and perhaps let Heilman become the new closer. Edit: Actually, Trachsel's only gonna cost $2.5 million this year. Check it out. http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/new...t=.jsp&c_id=nym "Trachsel, who underwent back surgery in March, will earn $2.5 million for 2006. He earned $6,782,500 for 2005 when he pitched merely 37 innings and qualified for none of the incentive clauses that would have dramatically increased his 2006 salary."

"You Tapped Out" chants. Angle's fans seem to be outnumbering either of these guys'.

I guess Mickie's gimmick is going to be that of Trish's stalker.
-
Huh.
-
Well, that was worthwhile.

I'm really glad I tuned in tonight, if only to watch that mind-bendingly ridiculous segment. I don't think the E even knows what's going on at this point.
-
Pure, unabashed insanity. ... MAN, Vader's fat.
-
Austin wouldn't job to Coach, so they yanked the angle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure, but this whole segment seems like something they slapped together in fifteen minutes while on an acid trip.
-
What the fuck is going on here?
-
Wow...this is surreal to say the least.

Has anybody else noticed that Conway's music sounds like it was composed by Randy Newman?

Mets decline the option on Meintkiewicz and Looper but pick up Trachsel's. I'm happy with all of those moves. Of course, now they just gotta hope they can pick up a closer, since there aren't many people in the Mets bullpen right now that can fill that void. There's only a couple good closers out on the market this year and I don't think the Mets are the only team looking for one. Also, I hope they don't go out and throw a bunch of money at a 1B (i.e., Konerko), because I believe that Jacobs is more than capable of playing the position.

Wrong thread, disregard.

Nothing wrong with Phone Booth. Everything else, yeah, meh to garbage. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Would have been better if Sutherland killed his ass. I liked SWAT, it was nice pointless action although using the funny guy from Sports Night as the secondary villian seemed like a big damn mistake. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's all that guy seems to be good for these days. He basically played the same role in Four Brothers. That movie blew too.
