I mean, I can kind of understand trying to keep the team in Nashville, even though it looks pretty bad there now, it could end up being a good market (I wouldn't bet on it, though). I just don't understand looking at the situation, at the 2 propesctive cities and deciding that Kansas City is a better idea. The only reason it's even being considered is because of the new arena, which is a great reason. Isn't that pretty much why Tampa Bay has a baseball team?

I guess I should never be surprised by the stupidity of the NHL, but I have no clue why they'd rather move the Predators to Kansas City instead of Hamilton. I don't think Hamilton is the perfect place for the team to go (I'd put them in Winnipeg), but going to KC can't be anything more than a lateral move.

I just got a call a few hours ago, I can go back next week until the end of August if I want. It would cut into my laying on my ass time, though.

Yeah, Cogeco sucks. It's kinda funny, though, Thomas' 500th was going to be a big PR thing for them this year and it happens in a game that they don't even have their own TV guys doing.

They really stopped playing Aubin after he kind of showed up McCabe after he let in a goal. He threw his stick up in the air, and, whatever you want to think about McCabe, he's more valuable to the team than the back-up goalie. And I thought the Bowman thing was for a front-office job.

It was the last game of the season, too. I've heard that most of the players had left already, or were at least in their street clothes, so it would have been a weird celebration on the mound if he had gotten it. The cool thing about it was that Higginson's homer went into the Jays bullpen and was caught by Dave Steib.

2nd, they swept Baltimore in May. They also swept Boston, but that was only a 2 game series.

While I think the Mets have worse luck, not having any no-hitters yet, the Jays have had something like 9 no-hit bids broken up in the 9th. Seems pretty high for a 30 year history.

I find it funny that according to the talking heads, if Chereponov is good then it's bad news for the Leafs. Nevermind the 18 or whatever teams that picked ahead of the Rangers, if he's as advertised, it's a disaster for the Leafs because they traded their pick.

I'm not usually a big fan of trading draft picks (especially now, with the salary cap), but I do like this trade. I wish they had made it last year, though.
