Yeah, I did consider having CC come up with the names...but time was a factor. It was the last thing I thought about as far as the ballot is concerned, and since I needed to get the ballot out on Monday at the latest, I didn't have time to wait for all of CC to respond to a naming request. So, basically, I tried to pick what I thought was best for each award, with some awards not getting named. For the top categories, I tried to use the all time greats who helped found our fed...and for the title awards, I tried to use people who were the best in that particular category. However, I had to make some concessions...like, ELM probably should have had the WF World Champion of the Year Award named after him, but I couldn't do that since he is actually nominated for the award. It just wouldn't make sense. I named them in about 30 minutes based upon what I knew off the top of my head (I've been here a long time, I think I'm qualified) and using the Title History for those times I got stuck. Since it was kind of rush job that only had one very tired brain on it, that's why I forgot people. Perhaps next year, we can rename some of them...or not...I'd prefer to keep the same name for kind of historic and tradition sake....but whatever. I think the bottom line is that some people DID get left out...either because they were too new to really have an award named after them, or because they were nominated for many awards in the show already, and it would be silly to have awards named after them. If Z feels it fit to add a name or change the name of an award, he has the full right to do so. I'm not going to argue. So, go Z go...if you feel so inclined. And yes, you've had such a big part in this (especially since just about all the JL nominations exist because of your knowledge and research and a bunch of WF ones as well). In reality, Z's the one that really did all the "real" work, and I'm just the front man who posts the ballot, compiles the votes, and posts the show...thus receiving all the credit for Z's hard work. Seriously though...Z should be thanked for all his work on this...and I did do some too dammit! But he did a great deal. Actually, you all can thank the Z-man for all the beautiful links you see so that you can actually go look at nominated matches and promos. I'm pretty sure I thanked him on the ballot, but I'd like to publically thank him again, and if you happen to be appreciative of me doing all this again this year...50% of your appreciation should be headed in Z's general direction. If you were left off, I'm very sorry...but I just don't have time to keep going back and naming awards after people. So...if you think you should be named after the award, then submit your request to Z....he knows his shit....and if he thinks your worthy, he'll make the change on the ballot. Since I didn't actually talk to Z about this, you better be nice cause he'll probably be mad that he has more work to do. I'll add you at work TNT. Why? Because I know he wants to be a part of it, and he knows his shit when it comes to this stuff. And, I'll probably ask him to help me with writing the show...and this will probably be the last year I'll do the awards show, and he will probably pick it up. So, if you can't find me and you have a request for the show or anything like that, you can also ask Z. Just don't send him ballots...only send those to me. That would just be too confusing. Ok, so...update for all those to whom I am involved with storyline-wise or other... I lost power aroudn 6pm EDT on Thursday, as Hurricane Isabel came up the Carolina coast. It is now Saturday, 6pm, more than 48 hours since I lost power... AND I STILL DON'T HAVE ANY FUCKING POWER! I am currently at my parents house (in DC), who have power, but only for a little bit. I moved to Maryland in August...why? I don't know...I should have stayed my black ass in DC where I belong. But anyway... Pepco is currently predicting that it will be about another 5 days before I get power, so everyone who may have been counting on me to write promos or anything like that can assume that I will not be able to write them. I normally could write them at work because we have power there, but we missed work THursday and Friday because of the hurricane, and I'm just going to be too busy there this week to write anything. And let me just tell you all how fucking boring life is without electricity... Thursday: 6pm - sit around for an hour and hope the power comes back on...smoke 3 cigarettes 7pm - drive around the corner to the office of the DJ company I work for...get some work in the studio...smoke 3 cigarettes 10pm - drive back home and sit in the dark for an hour playing my Gameboy Advanced SP...smoke 5 cigarettes 11pm - go to sleep because there's just nothing else to do Friday: 7am - wake up because i went to bed too early...try to go to work, but all roads leaving my neighborhood are blocked by gigantic trees...smoke 2 cigarettes 9am - decide going to work is futile, and go back home...sit around...smoke 9 cigarettes 9:30am - begin quest for breakfast...much of the places to eat do not have power, and those that do are filled to brim with angry, frustrated, hungry people whose power is also out....smoke 5 cigarettes 11:30 - end up in Landover, MD (about 30 minutes from where I live) and have breakfast at my roommate's sister's house....smoke 1 cigarette 1pm - drive back home to find power still out...smoke 4 cigarettes 1:30pm - drive to Dave & Buster's...smoke 7 cigarettes 2:30pm - take roommate's girlfriend to the hospital because her neice got sick...smoke 2 cigarettes 3:00pm - go back to Dave & Busters...smoke 15 cigarettes 6pm - go home to find no power...kick neighbor's dog...cry for 15 minutes...smoke 10 cigarettes 6:30pm - go BACK to Dave & Buster's...and play the fuck out of some games...smoke 2 packs of cigarettes 10:30pm - go home and go to sleep...life blows...smoke 2 cigarettes And for those that don't know, Dave & Buster's is like a restaurant with games and shit for adults...like Chuck 'E Cheese for adults...or a non sports related ESPNZone. Oh dear god....I think I'm going to cry. Me, Craven, and Dace in the pre-main event...hardcore title getting mad props...tag title has just been crazy fantastic (and I'd like to point that I helped get that started with Deja Vu, but I digress)...i mean, this will be the greatest PPV ever. I'm so amped to write...it's been a long time...but, I mean...damn...I just wanna start writing right now! I'm thinking 20,000 words should do the trick!! This is what the fuck I"m talking about!! This is what this fed is about! This just brings back all the memories I've had with this fed and all the awesome things we've done here! And a card like this just reminds me why we are the fucking best e-fed on the fucking planet! Can't nobody touch us....PERIOD! Ok, ok...calming down... But damn man...this is gonna be so damn tight! Now that's a damn show! The only thing was that there were so many promos that the actual matches are rather hidden...but you know what...I think that's exactly what we needed leading up to Genesis. All the matches on the PPV have history and angles behind them...nothing random. I absolutely LOVE Johnny/Wildchild, and I'm marking like hell for that match. In fact, it's the angle/match I'm most looking forward to seeing at Genesis. Second, is my angle...because it rocks hard. I'm very happy that our original plan came to fruition in that from the start, the plan was to elevate talent by using proxies in the match...well, and bring in Bastion. So, it looks like I'm the old vet up against the new blood...wonder if I can summon some of that old magic from back in the day to pull it out against two awesome writers. I'm not going to tell you who, you'll just have to read the show to find out. But, I'm really excited to get back to writing matches and having some fun. And despite the changes that happened in the angle (Edwin coming back, Bastion's early arrival, etc), I'm just so happy that in the end, it turned out to be awesome and our original plan remained the outcome. Thirdly, I'm really looking forward to the long-awaited finish of Edwin/Silent...it took us like a year, but it seems we'll finally get some closure on that one. Everything else...Sacred/Mak, Tag Titles, Flesher/Judge, etc...seems to have taken shape nicely for Genesis, and this show will fucking rock. SO, if you haven't read this past show, I suggest reading it...closely...or you'll be missing significant events. Da "proud to officially be back" H

I know that everyone's been worried about their friendly neighborhood Thugg, but you can all rest easy...I FINALLY have electricity. It came on around 3am this morning, at which point, I ran around the house and turned off all the lights, since we never turned them off after the power went out.
