Yeah, he talked about it in his book, and it's legal, but it does go to say a lot about his nature, and how this is "him", it's nothing really new. What we're seeing is a guy who is getting older while being forced to deal with a number of injuries, and he's trying to do all he can to stay in the game just a little while longer. He doesn't want to let go, it's not in his nature to just let go and quit. As he grows older, and as the injuries pile up on him, he's getting more and more desperate to find a way to stay in the game, and unless forced out he's never going to slow down. Not for good, and not even just to rest up.

PWInsider said that when he was going for the gold in the Olympics, he had a doctor with him at all times to be able to shoot him up with some sort of painkiller before every match just so he could make it through without letting the pain get to him. This has been his nature for years, it's nothing new. It's just getting worse and worse as the years go by. Let's not forget that this is the same guy who talked about going for Olympic gold once again in his book. I have no reason to believe that this will be a good thing for Kurt Angle. It was good that WWE did it though, and it's all that they can do right now. He was told to get help, and he refused, so we know where he stands on all of this. I'll actually be shocked if I don't see him pop up somewhere else now that WWE let him go. It's who he is to find somewhere to go to keep doing what he only seemingly wants to do, wrestle.

Is it wrong if I call that entire thing a load of bullshit?

From PWInsider: -WWE purposely did this on Friday afternoon since that's a well known time that the media will be slower on, with the thinking that by Monday morning it will be under lots of other headlines. -Kurt Angle and his lawyer/agent had a meeting with WWE Friday afternoon. WWE told Kurt Angle the requirements for him if he wanted to stay with them, he refused what they wanted from him, and they fired him. -WWE did not want to do this, but felt they had no choice at all. The thinking is that the only way they could help him is to make it so that he's no longer with them, since he refused what they wanted from him. -With the way WWE has handled this should tell us all just how much in trouble Kurt Angle is in right now. This isn't something they would do if it wasn't as dire as possible. -As we all know, Kurt's attitude was that if he's going to be in ECW, then ECW should be built around him instead of him being there to only help ECW build up it's name. He hated the fact that TBS was being pushed so hard, when he was almost just there. -There are some inside of TNA who are already talking about being excited about a possible Angle/Joe match.

Hell, forget about using pictures that far apart. You can take pictures of Kurt Angle that are about 3-6 months apart and see just as big of a difference. I posed pictures like that months ago, earlier this year, and it was just amazing.

It's all a work to make his DVD that much more interesting when they finally do release it. This is just the big emotional twist for the last half of the main feature.

I find the entire Sylvan issue right now quite funny. It's as if someone woke up, and realized that they were giving him TV time and video packages, and instantly decided that it was a stupid idea in the first place, and now are jobbing him out. To Vito of all people.

I guess this is some sort of improvement for Asians in WWE. So he wont be brought in as an evil martial arts guy, but instead they go to the complete opposite end of the sterotype spectrum and make him a redneck cowboy.
-
Oh. My. God. Jimmy Wang Yang? An Asian redneck cowboy? Not to mention they'll more than likely make him gay.

Still to come in this Eddie storyline: -Chavo and Vickie will start a romantic relationship, making out with her on TV. -We will see videos of Chavo with Vickie and the children, as he takes them on as his own family. -Vickie will be all for it, because she "sees a lot of Eddie in Chavo", and eventually starts to look at Chavo as Eddie himself. Perhaps even calling Chavo Eddie. -Chavo will come out to Eddie's music, even in the lowrider. -This will all take place while Rey is gone having his knee surgery. -When he returns, the angle will be going full force. Vickie will be with Chavo, the children will be involved, he'll be in Eddie's gimmick in every way from entrance to move set, etc... -This will all lead to Rey/Chavo going at it once again, with Rey's goal to be to "knock some sense into Chavo", to let him know that he's not really Eddie, and Eddie's family is not his. Perhaps with a match at WM. -To end, Rey will berate Vickie in the middle of the ring, screaming to her that Chavo is not Eddie, and that Eddie is really dead, and he'll never come back.

All of you guys have your "list of stupid horrible shit WWE has done" handy? I think we can finally mark through "turn a real life widow of a former WWE worker heel".

Perhaps there's been a fourth "I" all along...

Everyone ready to be disgusted?

I know a lot of you are trying to look on the bright side, and hopefully it's true that this will be the kick in the pants that Kurt Angle requires, but I honest to God don't see this helping him at all. I'm not saying WWE didn't do the right thing, I'm just saying I don't think it'll get through to him, not right now. Sadly, I think that he has a ways to go, and will get much deeper into things, before we really see him where he eventually needs to be in order to save his career, and his life.

Isn't this sorta what happened to Eddie? He had all kinds of problems, and it let to him being fired?
-
Yeah, blah blah blah, I didn't expect to see this news, etc... I think they asked him to totally get help, both in some sort of rehab as well as mental help. From there I see him going crazy losing his temper and flat out refusing, claiming that he was ok and that he just wants on TV once again to prove to them that he's up to the work in the ring. Once he refused, they fired him on the spot. From here, it wouldn't shock me at all to see him go straight to TNA (whenever he's able legally I mean), just because he wants to wrestle right NOW, instead of going into any sort of rehab. He wants to continue building his "legend", and I think he'd be willing to go to TNA to continue doing just that. He might look at it like he wont be working as much, as others have stated here, and that would just be another push for him to do so. Above all else, his going to TNA would only be to prove WWE wrong, and to finally end up going back down the line after he has proven himself. The guy has been building to this for a few years now, and I'm sure that it all just finally reached a boiling point and before he ends up killing himself, WWE wanted to give him an ultimatum of either getting help, multiple kinds of help, or else they would cut ties. Kurt will look at this as a chance to go to TNA to finally prove to WWE that he is fine, that he can still work like he always has in the past, and TNA wont question anything since he's a huge name and they'll just welcome him with open arms, while they bite their tongue and decide to believe him when he says that he's ok and nothing is wrong with him.

I'm all for a normal DDT being a finisher again, just like I'm all for the Rude Awakening being a finisher again. The guy doing it just needs to know how to make it look good, as does the guy taking the moves. Seeing Jake or Arn giving someone the DDT is just awesome, and it could be again.
-
There's no use in my trying to counter them. If those are his opinions, and only his opinions, then nothing I say would change his mind anyway. I was just saying that if I ever found that much to hate about 45 minutes of TV, wrestling or not, and I also said that it was one of the better episodes of whatever it was, then I highly doubt I'd continue to watch, that's all. I'm glad other people are at least saying good things about Mike Knoxx in terms of how he takes a DDT. From the moment I saw that I instantly thought of RVD. It's one of my favorite ways to take any sort of move. It looks really solid, like the move actually matters.
-
I download them every week. Do you have DSL or a high speed connection?
-
Jingus, if I found that much to hate about a one hour wrestling show, less than an hour counting commercials, then I'd never fucking watch it again. Would you like to talk about how you hated the way some of the guys walked to the ring or how much you hated the color of some of the tights while you're at it? Sheesh.
-
Holy shit, TBS got totally messed up there.
-
I believe that Holly killed Danny. Fuck it, I like Holly.
-
I'm shocked that we haven't seen people hold up "Smackdown Spoiler signs" on ECW, just to piss off the viewers at home.
-
They wont even put Francine on TV for this, ugh.

From PWInsider: -Batista is in the process of getting divorced, but at the same time Rebecca from the Diva Search is his new girlfriend. There aren't many people with much love for Batista right now, because of the way he acted at the ECW show, the quality of his matches since his return, his match at SummerSlam, his attitude, and so on. Many people have totally lost respect for the guy, and really see Booker T's point back when.
