Next Month's Smackdown magazine has Royal Rumble winner on cover

With the way things have been going, it wouldn't shock me at all to hear that they didn't decide until the match actually started. -
Next Month's Smackdown magazine has Royal Rumble winner on cover

Even if this was true, the very second before the Rumble starts, or even in the middle of it, they could change their minds and book it for someone else to win. There is no way to ever really know if this information is true or not unless Rey actually does win. Even then though, it might not be what was really planned. It could just be quick booking that night. -
Oh yeah. Everyone was getting really pissed about it also, myself included.

One more quick note about the show: It took them forever to finally open the doors, and when they actually did start letting people in, it then took even longer to get everyone in the building. For the first time in my life, they actually searched each and every person going into the arena. You had to empty your pockets, open your jacket, and all of that. The women had to open their purses, and allow the guys to go through them. Then, after all of that bullshit, you had to be searched from head to toe with one of those handheld metal detectors. They were turning people away left and right, mainly because of, OMGWTF, people bringing in candy. They were turning people away for something as simple as bringing in a single candy bar. That seemed to be the main reason for all of of the searching. I've been to a ton of wrestling shows, but this is the first time I've ever seen anything like that.

The only way you'll ever see something like that happen, is if they decide to not give the Rumble winner a Wrestlemania main event title match, and instead make it where they can get a shot at the title at maybe the following PPV, the next TV show, or something like the Money In the Bank thing. -
Yes that was awesome. I loved how he held his arm out in the middle of it, asking for more of a response, and then the fans really responded.

A few more notes: -Kurt Angle was the only guy on the show who really got a "superstar" ovation. -The fans were behind Benoit for his match, but one of the loudest pops of the night, if not the loudest, was when he reveresed Orton's RKO into his Crossface, and then picked up the win. It was a huge pop, I was very pleased with that. There wasn't much heel heat at all all night. Simon Dean was just about the most over heel there. -The fans started a boring chant in the Finlay match. However, when the finish came they started taking notice, and then when he got on the mic and did his thing about how he is in WWE just to fight and how he will not change (and how he's, of course, tired of Americans), the fans really got into it with him. Give his character time, and he will be over huge.

Well, Lashley is on SD, but he's in the back talking about winning the Rumble...in his "soft spoken" style of course. They also had Animal of all people talking about how he was going to win the Rumble, then go to his home town and main event Wrestlemania~!!!!!!! It will happen! Ummm, also Melinia told Teddy Long that he has two strikes against him. One for not doing anything to Batista (yes, they mentioned that), and another for not doing anything for Angle for what he did to her last week. She said there better not be a strike three. Randy Orton told Booker T earlier in the night before his match that he didn't need Booker's help to beat Benoit later in the night. He said that he knew exactly what he was going to use his favor on, that Booker T owes him.

Let's try this again, please delete the other thread. Just really quickly, here are the basic spoilers. I'll add details in just a few minutes, and I'm sure cawthon777 will chime in with some deep details: -Mark Henry defeated Rey Mysterio Before this match, Rey once again started all of that stuff about Eddie looking over him. This time, he said that Eddie was going to help him win the Rumble match, and that he dedicates his vicory in the match to him. He brought up that he was one of the last four guys in the match last year. Of course, he then went right to his match with Henry, and lost...clean in the middle of the ring from what I remember. -(Royal Rumble Qualifying Match) The Mexicools defeated The Dicks & Nunzio/Vito This was decent, with nothing of note really to mention. -(No Holds Barred Match) Chris Benoit defeated Randy Orton This one was pretty good, and was actually given quite a while I believe. A trash can lid, chair, and a trash can were involved. Randy Orton went down to the Crossface, perfectly clean. -Funaki defeated Finlay by DQ Finlay won, with what I believe is an Emerald Fusion. However, he continued to beat up Funaki, and the ref, the same one from last week, reversed the decision. -JBL and Scotty 2 Hotty went to a no contest The Boogeyman came down as the match was going on, and a bucket dumped a bunch of worms in the middle of the ring. The entire middle of the ring was covered, so much so that they had to totally change the ring canvas before going on with the show. JBL looked shocked, fell in the worms and rolled around, and then took off. -(Champion vs. Champions Handicap Match) Kurt Angle defeated MNM The match was decent, and Angle did win perfectly clean. Mark Henry came down with Daivari and they all got into it. Angle went for the ankle lock on Henry, but he escaped and Kurt fell out of the ring. I believe the show will end with Henry standing in the ring with MNM and Daivari, and Angle on the outside. Angle went for a HORRIBLE Angle Slam on Henry, it really looked bad because it looked like Henry just did not want to play along, but he sold it anyway. After the show ended, Kurt told Henry he could have a title match right that second. They went at it for a while with MNM at ringside, but after a few minutes it all fell apart, and Angle was getting a beat down. Rey Mysterio came down to help out Angle, and he ended up giving a 3-man 619 to Nitro, Mercury, and Daivari. It was then just Angle and Rey in the ring. Rey held the title and did Kurt's victory hop, and Kurt went to the top rope to do Rey's taunt. They did that a few times, hugged, then walked up the ramp. Rey was joking around and stole Kurt's title, Kurt chased him, and they left together, and that was that. Velocity stuff: -The Gymini defeated two people who I couldn't tell who they were. Your usual stuff, only a real jobber team in the place of Kendrick/London. -Bobby Lashley defeated someone The fans were really into Lashley. I hate his "hard hitting, soft spoken" gimmick though. His video has those exact words, and "soft spoken" is like in a cloud font or something, really weak. -Kid Kash/Jamie Noble defeated Kendrick/London They gave this match a good while also, but it was anything near what it should have been quality wise. -William Regal defeated David Flair, I think. I say I think, because it didn't look like him from the last time I saw him, and I just got there in time to see this match at all, it was the first one I think. I do know he was acting just like Flair, the fans were really behind him, and he had a big DF on the back of his tights, so I think it's fair to say I'm right on this one. About my free tickets: Ok, the free tickets that I got because of being a member of PWInsider, were in section 117, the lower level. I tried to get tickets last night, but they didn't have any more of the free ones. Up until they were sold out of the free ones, the free ones were in section 105, the limited view section. I could see that they were sorta behind the big stage, and you couldn't see the entrances and all of that. Anyway, I decided to try it again earlier today, and when I tried it it said that there were free tickets in the 117 secton. I was on row N, and they were really good seats. It was the lower level section right behind the floor seats, and you could see perfectly. They must have been having one hell of a time selling any tickets to this show, because I talked to a ton of people around me, and almost everyone had free tickets. I found it odd that they started out being in 105, limited view, then were not available, but then on the day of the show they were giving away tickets that were actually pretty damn good in the 117 section.

I was at this show also. I had tickets up in the nosebleeds, but seriously, they weren't that bad of seats. I could see and hear everything just fine...everything was just a little small. I believe I was in the most pro-Cena section of the crowd. There were a few of us who booed him, but it was more for him than not, at least where I was sitting. He was over in the main event by default though, just becase Flair was with him. I loved Domino & Deuce (w/ Cherry), but mainly just for the gimmick. Call me a sucker for cheese like that, but I really thought it was cool. I guess I just miss well defined gimmicks. The wrestling on the other hand was the normal WWE style of match, where almost nothing of note happened, if anything. cawthon777, did you go out to where the wrestlers were leaving after the show? Me and my cousin did, and we were in the first row right at the rail. We saw just about everyone leave except for a few like Shelton and Edge. I do believe that HHH left last, and was in that fucking HUGE bus that we have pictures of on here in another thread. Right before him was Vince in a limo, I do believe. Almost none of the wrestlers even responded to all of us standing out there, and not a single one said a word to any of us, much less sign any autographs at all. Just about the only ones to even so much as give a wave was the divas. Maria, Trish, Lilian all smiled really big and gave a huge wave to us all. I've never been to a show where not a single one of the workers said a single word to anyone. After a while many of the fans standing around started getting pissed big time. All in all it was a decent show, but nothing that I'll really remember. Nothing much of note happened, and it wasn't the best show before a PPV that I've ever seen. I'm glad I went though, because it was just cool to be there. It was my first actual live RAW that I've ever been to.

He is using the hammer-on and pull-off technique...only the guys fucking great at it.

Oh it does. I downloaded the demo and played through it, and it was really, really solid.

The only time that I've had any freeze of any kind, was in Madden, and that only happened when I'd keep it on pause for a really long time. Ugh, I can't wait until the next wave of games. I'm actually holding off on starting Condemned because I don't want to beat it right away, so I'll have something to play. It's back to the DS and Guitar for a while I guess. Well, those and Geometry Wars.
-
Have all of you seen this video? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=42...9&q=Guitar+Hero I love the description over on the right.

I've been looking around, and it looks like a lot of people have had DOA4 fuck up their systems. How exactly can a game create problems for the system itself?
-
What exactly does "limited view" mean? How bad would it really be?
-
I wouldn't even think about setting my 360, or any other system, straight up. And for the love of God, if any of you do decide to stand your 360 straight up, do not stand it up and sit it back down with a disc in the tray. That is how the majority of morons have been getting scratched discs.
-
What is the manufactured date on the back of the system?
-
Did it just freeze, or did it totally stop working? Is it fine now?
-
Truth be told, I've been playing that more than anything else ever since I bought the full version. I suck at it though, big time. I can't imagine ever hitting a score like 12million, or whatever the #1 score is now.
-
If he continues to improve, it may not be such a horrible thing. If he improves, and then remained at the improved level, I wouldn't have a problem with it. My only concern is that this could be a case of just catching lightning in a bottle (yes, I know that's an exaggeration but it's the only way I can think of to word it), and after he signs again he could go back to how he was before. He might be motivated right now just to be able to possibly get another contract. I know the booking has a lot to do with it also, but still.

Mark Henry is making his career with this comeback. In the ten years he has been in WWE, in my opinion, we are seeing his absolute best work. The finish to that match was just fantastic if you ask me. Just watch - he's going to impress Vince and everyone else in WWE, then they will sign him to another contract.
