You can't even compare Jericho/RVD to Kennedy in that way. They were more over when they first debuted because they had a long term past, where they already had huge followings where they had been previously. This is Kennedy's first time on the big stage. I'd say he's doing pretty well in the being over department for what little time he's been around. I agree with that. I'd have Kennedy win the US title sometime pretty soon, maybe at SS, and have him just dominate the division from now until WM, where maybe we can get a champ vs. champ match. Meanwhile, go ahead and bump up Benoit to the main event level for now until WM...or hopefully beyond. I don't think Batista will be the world champ come WM, I really don't. I see him in some sort of RAW vs. SD match instead of defending or going for the world title.

This sounds like the best PPV of all time~!!!!!!! After buying every PPV of the year, I don't regret missing the last two.
-
This is true, but that's not the complete overall package that I'm talking about. I love the Carlito character, but the guy is far too bland in the ring. On the other hand, Kennedy has the character and the skill, from what I've seen so far.
-
That's most certainly not the reason I say it looks like he has "it". All of the other guys have been put in positions to look like stars, and I don't see it in any of them so far. Give it a years time. Most people here will be saying that Kennedy is the type of star that only comes around every 5-10 years.

He's overall better than pretty much every other new guy they've introduced over the past few years. I have no problem at all with them pushing him hard and fast. I usually hate it, like how they did so with Carito, Orton, etc... However, the difference here, is that I actually see something special in Kennedy. It's been years since I've seen a new guy with that "it" factor. I'm more shocked that they aren't going to bury the guy than anything, since that's what they usually do to guys that I think could be something big.

Well, the series went to five games afterall. After blowing their lead, looking like they were going to just blow the Astros out of the water, Atlanta didn't even deserve to win this game. I'll be right back cheering for them next year, that'll never end. I just don't know who to pull for in the playoffs this year though, since both of my teams have went home.
-
What would that do to the series? Would Houston advance, or would they just replay the game?

*finally breathes*

We've got some sweet baseball going on right now...
-
Does it even matter if you yank him or stick with him?
-
Isn't Atlanta's bullpen just fantastic?

But they're PAL and will only play on a PAL TV or a computer monitor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not if you have a DVD playerthat does PAL to NTSC, and most R1 DVD players do this, like my Philips DVP642. Only $50 people!

Let's just keep in mind this thread has more posts in it than the last SD thread.

"How poisoned?"

Even if that's true, and I believe it is, let's never say anything good about reality TV again.
-
Eh, I enjoyed the show. These TNA shows take me back to the days of WCW with the crappy-decent main event scene, and a great cruiserweight division. And I love Mike Tenay.

Does JJ still say "slapnuts"?

As someone who went to NWA Wildside shows to see Justice wrestle live and in person...I can't fucking belive this is the same guy.
-
Nice? An understatement.

I bet we'll see the NAO vs. The Deadlys for the tag titles within six months.
-
Have they never put together the NAO?
-
Like the Dudleys or not, but seeing them on Impact really makes the show seem that much more important to me. Just imagine how it would be if they could sign a huge current star.
-
They should have done that with Matt Striker. He showed a lot of personality on ByteThis. Yes he did. If I remember correctly, he was playing the hurt babyface role before he signed his contract in the skit, then as soon as he signed his name he "snapped", thus the Loose Cannon gimmick, in one of my favorite wrestling moments ever. Talk about a fucking great character...as well as a hell of a look for it all:

I guess the last time I was this mentally invested, as you put it, in any sort of film or TV show would be right after I first watched Donnie Darko for the first time in 2001. As for a TV show, I don't think it's ever happened like this to me. I love how TV seems to be 'growing up' so to speak. There are so many smart type of shows, that it's getting harder and harder for people to dismiss TV as the idiot box.

Remember that "the others" are more than likely the first people who had anything to do with whatever the hell the entire project was. A lot has changed since they first showed up, and a lot of time has went by. Can you guys remember the last time a simple TV show got people talking and thinking as much as this one? In my opinion, Lost is better than the majority of films that have been released in the past few years.
