I don't understand how people say that if we had shows like this every now and then, it would get stale. ECW was around for years, and had shows with action like this all the time, and the fans stuck with them and just ate it up all the way. I know I couldn't tire of shows like this.

Oh Jesus, just thinking about that makes my head feel like it's going to explode. I think we've all been subject to such a subpar product for so many years by this point, that many of us have forgot what it's like to experience a truly great show, all the way through. After tonight, well, I don't know where I'm going with this.

I don't see how we can just go back to having "normal" WWE shows after this.

The best way to sum it up, as someone said before, is that it felt/looked like an ECW show, had ECW ended up really growing into a powerhouse.

I think he was talking about the eventual buyrates, etc...

And while I enjoy WWE, it's very rare for a match to rule in the first place these days.

How is that possible for most WWE shows?

One of the best parts of the show, to me, was that at times it felt like a show that didn't have any ties to WWE. The RVD stuff, Heyman, etc... Who would have thought we would have seen it to that extreme? That was like something you'd hear at a show seperate from WWE.

Did they ever show the entire Roadkill/DD segment, or did they just totally fuck it up and never go back to it? If they went back to it, I totally missed it.

I'm not blind either. Benoit/Eddie flat out sucked, and sucked hard. It was just "a match", nothing special, nothing that mattered. That said, I still LOVED the match, because of what the crowd was doing the entire time. That's the thing. Even when I didn't like what was being presented on the PPV (which wasn't a lot at all), I ended up loving it because of the great crowd. Way to go Jericho, for not only jobbing, but actually going back to his ECW self, and actually working his ass off for that match. Just look at the results of the poll in this thread. Hell, there are STILL 145 people reading this topic, and the PPV has been off for almost forty minutes now!

I told you all so! It was either going to be a pile of shit show, a bomb, or one of the all time classic shows. If you ask me, it was without a doubt one of the all time classic wrestling shows. I was having so much fun watching it I just flat out stopped coming here to post, I wanted to catch every second of it. My God what a night.
