  1. Ummm I don't know about you guys, but if they want Heidenreich or Jordan as their first Heavyweight champion, that does not make me want to watch. Not that I can watch because I don't get that channel. Same here and IMO the series of Heidenreich/Jordan matches from May 05 (Smackdown and on the ppv) were FUCKING HORRIBLE! To have these two as the flagship stars of the promotion is awful.
  2. I just realized this freakin week I have the MSG channel on the dish - can anyone recap what was aired the past weeks before this one? Just curious what I missed. The stuff tonight was nostalgia personified with the 87 show. I remember watching that Hart Foundation-Bees match on Prime Time Wrestling way back when IIRC.
  3. HHH v. Big Show on ECW this Tuesday.......ugh!
  4. This is just fucking dumb. This show has definately turned into a trainwreck here of sorts. I have no doubt we'll see Kane, Taker, AND Khali here by the end, if not even Sid to boot.
  5. WTF @ Kennedy and Regal and Finley??!!! I guess they need to try to put over SD somehow on the show. Or bury the brand a little more.
  6. From the Observer website, recaps of the SS matches....... "McMahons will have Umaga interfering and DX has a secret monster, who could be Khali. " God, no!
  7. I just cant see Kane being booked here as it makes zero sense and building to another Kane/Shane match, much less a feud, would be absolutely ridiculous. Vince and Kane feuding also would be dumb, BUT the only thing I could see a possible Kane run-in leading to would be a lame feud w/ Umaga or something. I could see him being fed to him for the next ppv, so its likely Kane here. Ugh.
  8. You know, that kind of makes sense, considering Michaels/Sid relationship from way back when. But fuck, SID?!! Anyway you slice it, if its either Kane or Sid, its stupid just the same.
  9. DX talking to Kane? Wow, how lame.
  10. What a bullshit finish.........doesnt help out Booker at all, he'd be better off just jobbing here. Kind of an overall rush-job mess of a match. Like I said before, they could have and should have built to that scepter shot and had Batista do the job, then just chasing the title for a rematch at No Mercy. Crowd had every right to shit on that whole match, it just was completely pointless and would have been better to do shit like that on an actual Smackdown episode versus here on the ppv.
  11. That scepter shot should have been the finish. Instead it led to a resthold.............WTF
  12. Now time for the match that theoretically people should care about (given the story from the SS shoot with these guys) but I dont think many do. Buildup for this one was rushed and minimal......hoping they give this feud more legs by a Booker screwjob win here. Batista needs the belt back at some point, but he needs to chase it much longer than 2-3 weeks.
  13. The match was going really top notch and then ended out of nowhere - had the potential to be a killer bloodbath, still was to a degree, but the lack of another 5-10 minutes here really hurt it. It may be possible we see another match with these guys, as it didnt really blow off the feud but furthered it with Foley quitting just to save Melina. Although I can't imagine what else they could have done in an extra 5-10 minutes, damn.
  14. Here is the most fucked up part about Hogan......the guy worked the third match on the card, didnt go more than 10-15 minutes, didnt do SHIT to make Orton look even half decent, and gets the biggest chunk of change out of the entire roster on the show. Wow. At least during Hogan/Michaels, Hogan seemed to give Shawn a bit of a rub by giving him a great amount of offense, etc. I think we wont be seeing Hogan back again for awhile, I can't imagine Vince wanting to even bother with this anymore with him.
  15. My god, that was just the most basic bland match with the most predictable and standard finish EVER. Orton laid there FOREVER before the legdrop, if I was him, I would be pissed. Talk about burial.
  16. At KOTR 93, Vince was mega pissed at Hogan (over the refusal to job to Bret) and just wanted him out, STAT. Hence the placement of that match in a sense. Shit seems to be the same here. Orton got the false finish now, there is no way he's winning.
  17. What else on the card could have gone before this? Considering the promotion behind the card overall (such as what matches have been advertised more than others), AT LEAST Foley/Flair, and most definately Booker/Batista should have gone before this IMO. The DX match as well perhaps. Hogan/Michaels was the last match at last year's SS as an example, and considering that was Hogan's last match til tonight, the fact they are putting this 3rd on the card is VERY telling to the Hogan-WWE relationship right now if you ask me. This was booked to be part of a triple main event on paper from what I saw (w/ DX match, Edge/Cena, and then this)
  18. If Hogan was going to be cooperative here and do the job, I would think the company would be putting this higher on the overall card. Instead the fact that this is placed within the first hour of the show makes me think that since Hogan won't job, and they wanted him to, they moved the match down the card on purpose.
  19. Nothing too horrible so far......all matches from this point on should be getting a good 20 minutes each more than likely. Opener was kind of basic, but alright as they at least brawled a bit. The match should tell Vince to stop the Eddie BS as the fans were shitting all over the whole concept that match was based from. EVERYONE got heat there, from Rey to Vicki to Chavo. ECW title match was better than it had any right to be w/ Show in there. Could have went a little longer, but it still delivered to not overshadow Flair/Foley's HC stuff. Hogan v. Orton next? Weird. Well, I think this is very telling in that this will likely be a Hogan win.
  20. Getting off the roids tends to do that to you. Fuck that, even off the roids he shouldnt be THIS small looking. Looks like a completely different person altogether, are we positive this is even him? Otherwise, the word was that Masters wasnt suspended for roid testing at all, and it was for another drug issue. At the alarming rate he lost weight here, makes me wonder if it was meth or something. Seriously.
  21. They could easily do a no desicion for their first match though (which needs to happen anyway to really give the feud legs), it would be worth it to really draw the interest to BFG if they could get Goldberg signed. A rematch could be milked for a good 2-3 months after.
  22. This is a major reason why I think both of these guys were working this match loaded, as trying a move like that should not even be attempted, and purposely botching a move, especially on tv, isn't smart. The Van Dam monkey flip with the ladder was another example of this. PLUS the fact that Sabu waited to jump on Shows shoulders forever on the top rope there makes me think there was some smokin goin on!

Complete Smacdown Spoilers for the 8/18 Airing

Show sounds like shit on paper......Booker being punked by Batista makes me hope they dont rush that inevitable title change.
  24. That was quite a surreal match. Like its been suggested, I think both of them were stoned as all hell working this match, it seemed. Very sloppy and just random bumps taken with no rhyme or reason. Match had zero flow but was interesting to watch in a car crash way. Finish was corny but I guess it worked, as Sabu-Show is the match they've been building on TV. But I swear you could hear a pin drop when Sabu won the match. Van Dam needs to chase that belt for a good 2-3 months, I think, and hopefully not against Show, as that is not a $$$ match at all.
  25. He was just pissed since Heyman took him off the match due to "medical issues" so he's definately not back. We're now to assume he's going to jail, apparently.
