I do remember alot of the SuperClash 3 card being aired before, but holy shit, I still enjoyed the last show they aired with stuff from it. Going back to the first TV title "win" of Greg Gagne (a countout victory over Adonis), I forgot that they basically repeated the shit at this show and had Gagne beat Ronnie Garvin by CO to regain the TV title (that was vacant upon some screwjob finish in a previous Gagne/Garvin match prior) on this show. Did Chicago ever hate Greg Gagne, wow. Serious heat during and especially after the finish for the poor guy. And then they show Nelson interviewing Verne Gagne, who does not only the ultimate selling and defending the idea of having his own son get the belt back in such lackluster fashion, but then goes to on and on about how great SuperClash was, and how we're all supposed to wait on baited breath for the next SuperClash. I think I already mentioned how horrible the card of SuperClash 4 was.

Coming from a self-admitted oldschool ECW fan, this sounds amazing. Did anyone go to show here? 1.) Jerry Lynn defeats Kenny King with a Piledriver. Crowd was hot for Jerry Lynn. - "A Good Fun Opener" 2.) NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Adam Pearce defeats Brent Albright to once again become the NEW NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Pearce put Albright in the Crowbar to get the victory. Albright had his arm taped up, his injury is legit. Post-match - Pearce and Hagadorn kissed each other. 3.) FIP Championship: Go Shiozaki defeats Kevin Steen with two Go Flashers. Post-match Nigel attacks Steen. Cuts his "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU I'M THE BEST" promo. He wants the tag belts. 4.) GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship: Bryan Danielson defeats Katsuhiko Nakajima with the Cattle Mutilation. Crowd didn't buy Nakajimas finisher (German). !~~~INTERMISSION~~~! 5) Erick Stevens defeated Rhett "Addicted to Love" Titus with a Doctor Bomb. "Disgusting Shit." Post Match Sweeney and SNS Inc. come out. Sweeney offers Erick Stevens a contract to join the crew. Stevens declines, so SNS beat him down and kneedrop him on a chair. 6.) Sweet & Sour Inc. defeat Roderick Strong & The Vulture Squad. Hero wins with a LOADED ELBOW. "CRAZY!" - RODERICK STRONG WAS SPORTING A MOHAWK. 7.) Non Title: Kensuke Sasaki defeats Claudio Castagnoli with a Northern Lights Bomb. PHILLY DON'T KNOW PURO GUYS apparently. 8.) ROH World Championship: Nigel McGuinness defeats El Generico with a jacknife roll up right when Generico was going for the Top Rope BRAINBUSTAHHHHHHHHH. The crowd was pretty dead/worn out but it was a great match and everyone thought Generico had Nigel beat. 9) Steel Cage Warfare: Austin Aries & The Briscoes defeated Age of The Fall & The Necro Butcher Austin Aries & Tyler Black begin. ~3rd entrant: Jimmy Jacobs ~4th entrant: Necro Butcher ~Aries has been busted open. ~5th entrant: Jay Briscoe ~6th entrant: Delirious ~Jimmy Jacobs is busted open. ~7th and final entrant: Mark Briscoe Necro Butcher is eliminated by Aries & Jacobs after a crapload of chairshots to the head. ~Mark Briscoe has brought in a barbed wire table! Austin Aries was eliminated second after being REPEATEDLY SPIKED~! and put through The End Times. Delirious SPIKED DAIZEE HAZE! ON PURPOSE! Delirious was eliminated by Doomsday Device The barbed wire table spot was Tyler doing a running powerbomb through the set up table in the corner to one of the Briscoes. Tyler Black & Jimmy Jacobs were eliminated at the same time after Jay and Mark give them the J Driller and Cut Throat Driver. Jimmy & Tyler teased a break up but nothing became of it. BFFs FOR LIFE! www.wrestlingobserver.com ----Obviously Gabe remembered his roots and did it proper with having a show such as this......can't wait to get the DVD......

All I will say is this much.....that opening promo by Joe, then the Sting promo, and then finally the Jarrett promo was fucking steller stuff, and each promo built to the next very well on this show this week, more than I've ever seen from TNA as far as a one-show story building crescendo type in ring promos go, and as far as building a solid and compelling storyline more than they damn near have ever done in their history. Each promo tied into the next and by the end of that show, I thought to myself that perhaps (and keep in mind that keyword, PERHAPS) they may be onto something here with this storyline they are building with the old guard who demands respect v. the others who should have already earned that respect from the old guard but have yet to see it (at least thats how I take the story, who knows if thats what the intention is). I saw Jarrett get over as a face with the hometown Nashville crowd back in the earlier years of TNA, but this seemed to be, at least initially, a whole lot different and fresh than before, in terms of his delivery and his reaction. They seemed to have also finally gotten some heel heat on Sting (which I didn't think was possible) and a better face reaction for Joe than has been seen in this storyline so far. Whether they can truly follow up on this really solid stuff is anyone's guess, but at this point, they established the original intention of the idea behind this whole angle properly.....and finally. If they can build well from this is the big question. But whatever the case, definately a strong start to the BFG build. The rest of the show was up and down but definately had its' moments of pure unintentional hilarity (which can be taken as bad or good depending on your mood and/or state of mind), examples being the blatantly scriped Tenay/West exchange right before Angle initially showed up, the TNA press conference for Matt Morgan, Thunderdome being changed to "The Steel Asylum" (I assume to lead to Suicide's "debut" and victory in this match at BFG) the Suicide promo (which was borderlining actually being a good start to the gimmick versus just so ridiculous it was funny), and the cut-away to the Awesome Kong run-in on Rhino and Taylor Wilde. Christian/AJ v. MCMGs was also entertaining as hell for an Impact match and I thought the Petey Williams face turn followed by the Shane Sewell ref turn watchthefuckout rampage delivered. Petey and Sewell could make a pretty decent tag team, as well as strong mid-card faces seperately at the same time. Whenever Steiner returns, having him aligned with these guys will help them get over even more (hopefully). And TNA can't go to high definition fast enough with Velvet Sky wearing what she did. Good lawdy....

Eh, I don't think much will happen because of this in form of a punishment, although I'm sure this will be some plausable excuse by HHH to go over now for sure at the ppv, given Hunter's recent run of "I'm the man!" booking formula, though, it really shouldn't be any kind of shock, that's probably been the idea the whole time. But seriously, I've witnessed myself that people who weren't even that intoxicated were forced to take another flight before, and like someone said, check that Airline reality show out sometimes, it happens alot more often that you would think and alot of the times, its just that the attendant smells liquor on their breath and they make a pretty heavy overreaction at that fact. So with that said, I wouldn't go overboard with hyperbole on this latest incident with Hardy, at least from his "personal choices" stuff. Just because he got denied to fly doesn't mean he is a soak.

Kevin Nash apparently has re-signed with TNA.......oh yay. My guess was that if he didn't ever re-sign back up, the angle they did last week with Nash hugging Joe and leaving the ring would have been his final shot.

Not to stray this thread off course too far, but, first, has anyone here seen the docu-film, UNCOUNTED? I checked it out the other night on Starz (I think) and to say everyone needs to see this is probably an understatement. Maybe many of you followed the controversy of the electronic voting systems and whatnot (as did I) but there wasn't alot of stuff really put out there by the media on this, especially back in 04. It's as corrupt as you get, and then the guy who created a suitable and logically fair and just voting system.....well he gets in a car accident and dies.....hmmm.... I think this is necessary viewing for everyone - www.uncountedthemovie.com.

I doubt they will take him out of the match, even if he got busted. HHH will get his win come hell or high water. Now what I could see is that, since there is rumors flying that next weeks Smackdown is supposed to have some "huge match", if Hardy got in trouble, they could simply have Jeff work his last match (probably ever for WWE) next week on that show against HHH, and of course we all know what will happen there. Then, yeah, Kozlov likely in against HHH at No Mercy, then.
 -
Well, he's been pushed harder than any active member on the RAW roster, including the guy with the belt. I don't understand why he would be frustrated at all. He's probably just burned out, like Bob said.
 -
He was also used as a punching bag and only won 6 times I think during his whole WWE run. I'm still not seeing how it's fair to compare Cabana's run, after 3 or 4 matches total, to Delaneys. Cabana has far more charisma, pure in ring talent, mic skills, etc, etc, ETC. Plus he wasn't started and limited to the ECW brand, at least he's on Smackdown, where there is more "exposure factor" in the big scheme of things. Like I said, just because a guy starts off the gate as a jobber here, does not necessarily mean he's stuck there for life, or even stuck there by next month. We all know WWE is famous for "earning your spot" - give it time, at least another month or so to see where they go with him. In a perfect world, they would give him that first win whenever, and then by next match, he would cut a promo stating his real name is Colt Cabana and then just play into that gimmick more. Hell, I'd even be down with them putting a mask on him and doing that Matt Classic gimmick he did in WSX.
 -
Colin Delaney. I'm not even following that comparison whatsoever.

I must see this show. We all talked about that great one a few pages back in this thread, it was something else. Highlight of the show for me was an incoherant Wahoo McDaniel interview inside the bar (while Jerry Saggs is in the background trying go get his face on TV), he was definately good and buzzed. Plus if I recall, that was the show when Greg Gagne "won" the TV title in a match with Adrian Adonis that was pretty ridiculous in its' finish.
 -
If that is what I think that might be (Jeff busted with some sort of drugs) its certainly ironic, given the way he's being built up against HHH at the ppv right now. If he was stupid enough to get in trouble with drugs again, the result of that match is most definately a lock. And chances are it will make a clear point at the same time about his future in the company.
 -
I'd suggest relaxing about Colt Cabana, he's only been on the roster for a good 3 or 4 shows total......this doesn't mean he's buried for life just because he's putting over a few monster heels. And fuck ya'll, Kozlov-Khali has train wreck so bad its gotta be entertaining, all over it.

For what it's worth, I'm thinking the Angle divorce is just all work.......just like that whole reality show shit seemed to be all show.....
 -
That Foley/Angle tease was stupid to even suggest it, I don't get why they even had to bother doing it that way, instead of having Foley debut via other means? I'm wishing against Foley as special ref in Jarrett/Angle, but wondering if now that is the idea. I'd much rather see Foley in there against someone else in an actual match versus a stupid special ref thing. They might have Abyss and Foley team up against the Dudleys for Monsters Ball, for all I know. Otherwise, I like the thing they seem to be starting with Roxxi and Kong.....that match they had on the last Impact was pretty good. Looks like they are pulling the trigger on an LAX breakup as rumored, with Guererro now even not their manager. I'm very skeptical on them breaking them up, thinking its a bad idea. Seems like Booker v. Christian might be added to BFG, as for AJ Styles, not really sure where they are going with him for that show, perhaps against Frank Trigg in an actual wrestling match?

Via today's Observer update.... --Mick Foley is not in Orlando today. He will make his first live appearance and do his first real interview on the show taped 9/29. He was in Orlando last night taping things. I was told the segment with Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle that ends the show that airs tomorrow night, was a tremendous verbal segment and was effective enough that when it was over, actually some fans were booing Sting's name when referenced. My impression is they expect the buys to be up significantly for the PPV.
 -
Some other random news off today's Observer news link.... --New England woman wrestler Lexxus debuts tonight at the Impact tapings against Awesome Kong. She works for Chaotic Wrestling and was recommended by Roxxi (Either Roxxi and/or the company may possibly be thinking/angling of pairing her up with another chick full time, maybe as a program against BP? Hey, they both got two X's in their name too, seems to just make sense. Never seen or heard of this Lexxus, though.) --Bubba the Love Sponge reported today that he talked with Kurt Angle and Kurt told him he has filed for a divorce from Karen. So much for that Angle family reality show. Several in TNA have confirmed that as true. Both are in Orlando and getting along fine backstage. (Who knows what is real and what is not when you are talking about the Angles, but if totally true, will be interesting how they play into that on TV - or even if they will. Also, if true, how weird is it that damn near every wrestling marriage seems to go south when they are penciled against each other in a storyline feud?!)
 -
Following WWE's lead like this (finally) to use big name bands as a theme for their major ppvs, the theme song for Bound for Glory is "Tarantula" by The Smashing Pumpkins.......too bad they couldn't get them to do a live performance on the show, that would be pretty huge for the company.
 -
Eh, its technically him still showing up, I guess.
 -
These are probably the full spoilers, as I would expect some of those promos by Sting, Joe, and Jarrett to be somewhat lengthy. But they still could tape some more stuff tonight, I suppose. I actually was already kind of looking forward to Angle/Jarrett, but now Foley/Angle, thats much better to say the least. I suppose Jarrett/Angle will be on the backburner until they slow build a full Jarrett return to the ring. I am definately not minding Jarrett not returning to the ring right now, with Foley coming in, it's just kind of the wrong time to even jumpstart that anyway when the focus should be on Foley. I don't know in what capacity he will be now, if he will take up a non-wrestling role or if he's just going to fall back into obscurity again (as I'm sure if they would have anticipated Foley coming in months ago, they wouldn't have even started teasing Jarrett in the first place)...we'll see what happens. The TNA website is pimping out like crazy Foley showing up on Thursday, by the way.

Last night's show was at least so bad and cheesy in some parts it was entertaining, akin to the 1990 shows. Some examples.... The arena/gymnasium in Omaha they were taping out of, with the double doors right in front of the ring they were coming out of. That awful ring announcer in Omaha who didn't really seem to know truly who everyone was, he absolutely murdered the Sheiks name Jake Milliman v. some guy with the Sheik, Ali Khan, who I think we never saw (or will see) again after this, pretty bad match Larry Nelson up to his usual antics, more than likely sauced at the arena Scott Hall cutting this uber pissed off babyface promo at the end of the show on Debeers (since Debeers ran out and interfered, causing Hall/Hennig to lose by countout to Somers/Rose) and then Hennig just tells Hall, "Why don't you just ignore him when he comes out?" and Hall pretty much doesn't know what to say for a second, a little dumbfounded by the Hennig comment, and then goes back into uber fired up babyface mode. It's about time these 86 shows delivered something! I don't know if there is even an order here that they are doing these, but they were mentioning it was about August 86 here, so IF there is any order, we probably will be ending 86 pretty soon and going to ????, since I think they did already air alot of 86 shows prior (moreless at the start of when the AWA shows began on ESPNC) and now they are just filling the gaps with ones they missed. On a side note, I actually taped UWF from over the weekend, and there was a hell of a wild segment they did involving Orndorff and Steve Williams, which I had never seen before. Actually it wouldn't have been very memorable if it wasn't for the fact that Williams and the ref were shooting on each other during this pull apart brawl of Dr Death and Orndorff. I still don't get what was happening, but I think the ref got initially upset that Williams threw a hard punch at him when they were doing the angle, and then the ref started getting in his face. From there, he was met with some seriously stiff chairshots, repeatedly, and half of them the ref wouldn't even take, kept putting his hands up and trying to grab the chair from Williams. This continued on for a good minute until the ref pretty much just gave up trying to fight, and took a powder, but got a seriously stiff kick in the face right before he bailed from the ring. Great stuff there.

The results from this weeks show and what I saw from last week's Smackdown makes me a little more inspired for this brand upcoming here. They're actually doing something with Kozlov finally (and v Khali next week sounds wild), I like the Colon brothers team, Truth goes over Benjamin (I would imagine those two will likely gel together well in an upcoming program), and Hardy may have a chance to get over here, that is if he isn't royally buried at the ppv. Of course there is bad stuff too, such as this uninteresting Show/Taker feud with the Vicki nonsense, HHH just being his old "old habits die hard" self by consistently having to devalue future stars (such as here, why does MVP need to job out to him again after Unforgiven?), and Festus and Jesse as "movers" (I suppose to promote the move to Network TV?) but to me, right now the good outweighs the bad.

I'm betting the card storyline will end mid-season.......doesn't this show take a significant break around halfway through? Not sure what the bloody noses are all about, but I'm betting that will play a heavier role in the second part of the season. Well we still haven't heard anything about those scientist guys that appeared at the end of season 2's finale. I'm guessing it'll involve them and Michael having been genetically engineered or something. Care to remind me what that was all about? End of Season 2 seems like so long ago (even though it wasn't). All I remember was season 2 ended with them all locked up in Panama.....where and how did the scientists come into the mix?

I havent seen anything on my HD feed for FOX with that.
